I have a 97 840ci and drive.it everyday..... the looks and thumbs up you get from people is priceless. I have also had a 93 850i but like this one a slight bit better ....they both are timelessly beautiful....
You can use as a daily driver if you have one is actually excellent condition and have a lot of $$$ to spend on maintenance.

There are three caps missing in the engine compartment.
I find 2 missing, over +12V jump connection, over cabin heater valves but which is 3rd?
Well spotted,but I see five missing covers
Positive cover
Heater pump cover
Wiring cover next to heater pump
Wiring cover small next to headlamp left
Wiring cover small next to headlamp right
(Also six strut nut covers but lots of 8ers don't have them ,but are on my one)

This was when bmw was BMW, now bmw looks like Honda and full of junk electronics we don't need. My 1989 635 csi drives better than my 2014 550ix. That is not progress.
Couldn't agree more. I also have a 2014 F10 550i and while I consider it the last of the best of modern BMW cars (last hydraulic steering), I would still trade it for an E31 or E39 in a HEARTBEAT. Less electronics, more raw handling, and definitely 1000x better styling.
