Weirdly, I saw one of these in a model shop here in Singapore just a couple of days ago! Got my heart set on getting it for background shelving on desk vlogs I'll be doing next year... The bad news is, it retails for 488 SGD! 😱
I just received the "Dragons Domain " edition and the details are excellent and very happy with it. The here in the USA are more but I always wanted a Eagle from watching the series when I was a child and soooooooo much better than Eagle Moss Hereo collection and I have those. Pretty good details but the color of the Eagle is completely wrong!! Thanks for sharing 👍
@andy morris too right mate, but then again I’d rather spend £130 on an already-completed model that looks good, than spend £130 on the Round 2 model kit that I would no doubt bugger-up!!!
@andy morris Thanks for that mate; funnily enough, bought the DVD box set of UFO the day before yesterday! I’ve already got the first series of 1999 on DVD, but can’t bear to watch the second series; thought it was awful, how do you feel about it?
@andy morris exactly, they basically tried to turn series 2 into Star Trek, with a ‘monster of the week’ in every episode. Plus that woman who kept turning into a donkey, or a cat or whatever. Incidentally, series 2 of 1999 was produced by Fred Freiberger, who buggered-up the final series of the original Star Trek...
Love your video but can you please tell me how you got the photos on the video? I love the vip Eagle want to get it myself would love to know how you did it thanks
Very nice presentation of this Eagle model. I've put my collection (Product Enterprise & Sixteen 12) also on youtube but didn't bother to review every single one of them. I still have to put my Iconic Replicas models on youtube too but I've limited time. Also check out their upcoming die cast Swift model.
@@TomStrong You are in your full right to believe that. My guess is that you haven't got a clue what I am referring to!? Therefor my question still stands, if anyone informed should come by here with an answer. These are really nice and beautiful models. Definitely much better than the old Dinky (but also a lot more expensive). I also do like your walk through presentation video on it, thanks. Peace.
Hi, one question if I may? The landing gear has springs or is it just plastic? I've been trying to find the difference between the sixteen 12 version and the earlier product enterprise version.
@@TomStrong Thanks, I'm thinking of buying an eagle myself but am divided by which have the better quality. Naturally am looking at eBay since I can't find what I want on Sixteen 12 (sold out). The eagle you have is the 12 inch model correct? Isn't it supposed to be 30cm long? It looks shorter.
You are more than welcome. I hope you get the model you are looking for. I hope to be getting the Sixteen 12 Shado models coming out in the coming months.
I am watching this and, relative to the size of your hand I am getting the idea that this is NOT the 12" Eagle, but at the same time I'm not convinced it's the 5-1/2" version either? Can you confirm the length again please? And for the record, if you have VERY large hands, please forgive me LOL.
Great review, I have 6 Product Enterprise Eagles, just wondering with hind sight if using magnets for the pods might have been an idea? They have updated some stuff, orange upper on the pod, aluminium boosters and a driver for the tank are the obvious ones. There are 2 main variants on the Eagle too, one has white infrastructure fore and aft of the pod, while the other has pale grey substructure. All Sixteen 12 models include a buggy as standard now, where as I believe it was in the Lab Eagle pack only back in the day. PS. Bugger, at 22mins30secs you mention magnets. I had 2 of the original Dinky models 40+ years ago, freighter and transporter, wish I'd got them now, they'd be worth a fortune.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet i love it id love to get one with the moon buggy! thanks brah
So nice it looks like something to put under the bed unboxed as a nice little investment.
I do like the this colour variation of the pod,
Makes the transporter pop that wee bit more.

Love your presentation of the eagle very well put together like what you did by showing the pattern of the box very well done
Thank you so much 😀
I am normally accused of going into too much detail! glad it covered everything right for you.
Thank you excellent review👏
My pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for taking the time to comment.
A lovely model. I appreciate your presentation. Thank you.
I am really happy to have this in my collection. Glad you like it!

Thanks for the info!
I'd like to add this to my sci-fi collection if it's available in the States.
The seller sixteen12 does ship international. you can contact them via web site.
Cor....what a lot you get!!!

I use iMovie and it allows you to add static photos that you can then use a pan feature to zoom in etc.

I'm puzzled why they still make these with the Gemini part on the back of the rear shoulder pods....!?
These are well researched. exactly as shown in the TV episode.

Guy in the moon buggy looks too realistic. In the show it was always obviously a dummy!

I don’t have the Enterprise version but can confirm that this sixteen 12 model doesn’t have sprung landing legs.

Knight of El Elyon - I can confirm it is 12” long which is 30 cm long. I am a giant and have large hands that can often make everything look smaller.
@@TomStrong Thank you very much for your answers, you have helped me along in my final choice.

I can confirm both that this is a 12” model and that I do indeed have very large hands... well they look normal on me, I am a large chap overall.
@@TomStrong Thank you, Sir! And thank you for taking the comment in the spirit intended. Very nice review, by the way.
What's the website you got the diecast eagle from?
www.sixteen12.com/
Should you really be taking out of box? Surely it's devalued ! Now
There is far more value in joy. There is no Joy with things only ever in a box!
