He refused to leave her behind no matter what that’s why bell his the best harem character 😅
The ships have sailed and everyone wants these two together. Let's be honest, we all could see it coming a mile away.
I know ryuu most likely won’t end up with bell at the end of the series but man, she’s one of the best written characters I’ve seen from a harem/fantasy anime like this
Honestly, as nice as this pairing is, it’s always a shame to me in an anime like this. Because Bell is most likely going to remain devoted to Aiz so now anybody on the Ryuu train has been built up for disappointment
Isn't it said that bell is immune to being charmed, like does he have any legimate romantic feelings for any of the girls? I would hate to think he's the dense protagonist
Honestly who knows how long the series has until it's over, but if the author plans on having him end up with one of the girls; I really hope it's Ryu. Hestia would be a cop out, so would Ais. Ryu is someone he GENUINELY saved. Saving her life, saving her from her trauma. Her "past" is one of the darker pasts when compared to most in this series as well and the fact that just by sticking to what he believes is right, he brings her back from literally being on the brink of suicide. Even how she acts towards him in the next arc just points to her being the actual "wife" choice man.
What sets DanMachi apart from a lot of other harems/pseudo-harms is DanMachi actually does the groundwork to make it believable that Bell would/could catch the eye of all these girls.
In short:
The way the author crafted this scene is just perfect. Bell telling Ryu that he won't let anyone, even her, tell him that she's a bad person, when all Ryu wants (pr what she thinks she wants) is to push people away, is just beautiful.
None of the pairings really clicked for me in danmachi, but these two? I ship the hell outta them!
This has been great stuff, watching them grow closer while sharing the struggle to get out of their predicament, Ryu brain-dumping all her guilt and self-loathing, and finally breaking down and calling Bell by personal name... it's like the the Grinch's small heart growing three sizes that day. :D

I just noticed something after watching this a couple times.
I never had the thought of romantic connection or soft hearted sweetness from miss Ryu's character. I never even considered her anything other than simply some kind of badass ninja chick that acts as a protector. After watching this season I see her as such a beautiful woman, a flawed, broken and yet perfect specimen of absolute excellence. Never has there been a better choice for best girl in an Anime outside of Rebecca in cyberpunk. Ryu is the Ride or Die type that would literally risk her life to protect those she loves.
