      Definitely one of the most stellar covers of the original Doom soundtrack - and with twists here and there :)
      The soundtrack of PSX Doom ports are worth listening, too, they're dark ambient with eerie soundscapes that truly contribute to the primal atmospheric fear that the Doom game series compels, especially the hellish levels.

    • @Legally_John
      @Legally_John Před 3 lety +2

      @@pistool1 The PSX and N64 soundtracks are great too. I've heard people say they don't fit Doom, but even the original soundtrack wasn't all metal, with tracks like Demons on the Prey, Opening to Hell, and of course Sign of Evil paving the way for that take on Doom.

    Many covers can capture the emotion that Sign of Evil packs. Others can turn it into something more upbeat. What you have done is something else. That E1M8 feeling is amplified tenfold, and turned into something completely beyond anything I've ever heard. This is easily the best remake of Sign of Evil that I've ever heard, and I don't think it will ever be topped.

    • @laurachristine3221
      @laurachristine3221 Před 3 lety +14

      First solo:
      1(Fourth fret, high string, use your third finger.
      2(Second fret, slide to the third fret still on the top string. Use middle finger.
      3(first fret, still high string, use your first finger.
      4(go to the second highest string, and use your third finger on the fourth fret there
      5(directly after doing step 4, immediately go to the third fret on the high string using your middle finger
      I myself am still learning the rest.
      Just so you know, I’m talking about the part at 1:05. The part at 0:00 is a bar cord, which is VERY HARD for a beginner, but considering it’s been 9 months, you probably should have done something with your guitar by now.

    You put them through the same pain they inflict on others for taking what you held so near and dear to your heart.
    But
    Their screams can never be silenced. Their mistry never ending. You think you can just put them down like a suffering dog but, this *is* suffering, no where else to go. They're doomed to eternal death, their pain can never end, their wounds can never heal. Even if you could save them how would they escape, how would they fight.
    Efforts in vein.
    Vengeance for the eternal damnation.

    481 views for a remix that is done VERY well. Course titling E4M4, most people don't even search that up since most people remember it as E1M8. But hey, its still really nice, I love how you conducted this remix. Yes, remix, not cover since this is more than a cover, its a makeover from the original and I love it to bits! I'm gonna try my best to post this on my FB and all for ya man, this needs A LOT of love!

      Wow, thank you so much! I truly appreciate it. And you're right, most people likely look for E1M8 Phobos Anomaly first. However the reason why I personally chose E3M4 instead was that the name "House of Pain", and the level's visuals, always made me feel strongly about this music track. For me, they all belong together in that certain melancholic style which I love.
      Not to say that "Phobos Anomaly" wouldn't make an awesome prog metal track name!

    This is beyond BEAUTIFUL! I've always loved the somber ones in the original Doom & Doom 2 soundtracks, e3m4 (Sign of Evil), d_victor (The End of DOOM), and d_read_me, and I've been listening to them since I first played Doom in 1994. They are masterpieces in their own right.
    But this remake is on another level!

    I will never forget the first time I got to Phobos anomaly. I didn’t think anything of the music at first, as it is just some drums and a little chanting. Then once I killed the pinky’s and got into that hallway with the torches right before the elevator, it hit. I had to stop, and I cried. I remember being able to feel the sadness and rage that doom guy must’ve felt by this point. Great experience.
    This mix is one of the best I’ve heard. Most give the track a more upbeat vibe, but shredd, if anything, made it deeper, sadder, and more moving. This man deserves more subs
