Way to initiate positive dialogue between 2 people : ‘so he thinks you’re an embarrassment’
Lmfaoooo

Jerry springer show. Really embarrassing. For Simon mostly, he used to have a football club and a boat, and look where he is now.
Warnock is the last of a dying breed. Everybody will realise when he’s gone. Games full of media trained robots answering questions with the same answers week in week out.
Bang on, as he said, your Arteta's must be a dream 🤣👏

How can refereeing associations accuse others of being an "embarrassment" when they claim to be anti-bully? With all due respect, English referees are some of the worst in world football and they're massively over protected. I mean, it's literally against the rules for managers to tell the truth about their performances in interviews, and if they do, they're fined. Tell the refs to get their ducks in a row and actually manage the game correctly and there won't be criticism, but to complain when they're already massively over protected is laughable.
the quality of refereeing at the euro just went to show how behind the English refs are.
Well said

Referees are part of the game they deserve the same criticism as anyone else involved. Their decisions (or bad decisions) have an impact on players and managers employment/ longevity.
Exactly, they seem to just want us all to be like robots with no emotions. Warnock is bang on.
But when it goes to far. esp the trickle effect down the divisions..abusive parents putting off the next gen of refs.
These refs make awful decisions when millions of pounds are at stake, why shouldn’t they be criticised?
That’s wasn’t the point. It’s whether he oversteps the line which is up for debate - that’s different from simply being criticised
@@kyeiskinky Warnock is well within his right to be angry when refs make abysmal decisions. It’s not like he punched him in the face. Shouting at someone isn’t overstepping the mark. It’s just being passionate about what you do and what you believe in.
@@cashwhistle2074 with no knowledge of what was actually said how can someone assume it was abuse from Warnock? Yeah he was angry but the ref hasn’t come out and said what he said to him. If he called him every name under the sun fair enough but as usual refs don’t say a word about anything ever
@@kyeiskinky Warnock doesn't overstep the mark, he gives his opinion about the poor level of refereeing in England and the referees association and the FA don't like it.
@@ryancummins8067 I could name several managers that do that, especially in the past couple of seasons with VAR. You could ask - "Why are they not being mentioned in the show". Besides I didn't give my opinion, I was just confirming what the debate within the video was about
Look at how the presenter is trying to stir the argument
He’s like the boy running around the playground shouting “fight”
This fella wants refs to have no accountability at all, wants them wrapped in cotton wool protected. In my opinion they should be forced to do post match interviews to explain decisions and answer questions
there is a reason for it..refs get attacks even in kids game..coaches don't even get close to that
I'm 99% certain they tried this a few years (~15?) ago in the EPL and I think most observers agreed it was a stupid idea that shouldn't be continued.
That's a terrible idea
@@Akinwalesegun I think that’s reductive and naive. Part of the reason there is a lack of respect for officials that filters down the pyramid is that they don’t have any accountability. They’re seen as anti-football, like the teacher no one respects or wants to listen to in school because they seem so far detached from the experience of young people in their formative years. If officials took interviews after games, appeared human and had to justify their decisions in the way that managers and players do then I think respect towards them would grow and equally their egos may shrink to the point where they showed respect to the game also. In my personal opinion officials being abused at the grass roots level is all to do with the adults in those situations and although what’s seen at the highest level may impact behaviour at grass roots level, those individuals perhaps need to adjust their behaviour and not excuse it by saying it’s learnt behaviour. If you’re screaming abuse at officials who aren’t even paid or are paid very little in a non-professional setting then you’re a moron and that’s on you.
Love it when Warnock goes off it, it's like arguing with your grandad, "don't you think you might go over the top" and his response is "no, I don't agree with that at all" 🤣🤣🤣

Warnock made a great point about them never being mic’d up
Actually he is totally wrong about that point, the referee's actually proposed the idea to have refs wear mics, and it was the clubs who turned down the idea.

@@cashwhistle2074 I think the standard over the summer in the Euros showed how inept the current crop of officials actually are. And yes, Mike Riley has to take a lot of flack for his part in the downturn. I'd be amazed if any of our refs were officiating in the Qatar World Cup next winter!

Good on Neil for standing his ground. For too long referees have been wrapped up in cotton wool and been shielded from having to answer for their almost constant mistakes. Maybe if referees owned up to their mistakes publicly they might actually start to learn from their mistakes and improve. If referees start to shoulder some of the blame for their poor decisions managers, players and fans might start to respect them.
Raped ?

I would rather have someone like Neil Warnock calling out these referees for their idiotic mistakes than let them go unpunished. It's about time these referees needed to be held to account. None of these English referees should even be allowed to be refereeing in international tournaments, even in Europe such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
This is like a scene out of Brass Eye

Warnock's point about headbutting in bars was spot on. Then he went full circle to use the same insult that what the refs say is "embarrassing"

The euros highlighted even more how far behind Premier league refs are compared to other leagues, even with VAR they embarrassed themselves last season and cost alot of points to teams by being incompetent or even worse biased towards certain teams. They need to to improve massively and the first part of that is admiting they need to improve and they should not be shielded from fair criticism. Mike up and hold them accountable for their actions
We love you warnock! Love to see you back at baramall lane
Warnock says it how it is, and some don't like that anymore.
You’d never get football referees wired up because it wouldn’t be able to be broadcast because of the language out of players mouths.
They Wired up David Ellery way back in the early 90s for a Millwall v Arsenal match. Pretty much everything you said is right. The swearing would have made a docker blush. Tony Adams was particularly bad

The referees really think they’re above everyone in football don’t they. Most are corrupt, taking backhanders, refereeing in matches involving their local teams and they are killing the game. VAR has exposed this even more than was known about it before VAR came out. Fully support Neil Warnock with what he’s saying in this interview.
Although I dislike NW. as he said he’s an easy target for the media, may I add that NW is a fully qualified referee. He may not have put it into practice but he knows the game inside out. When you see the officials in rugby union and the support they get during a match it’s evident that football is years behind in terms of officiating. The technology is there they just choose not to apply it in the modern game, if they clean up the game the media will have nothing to talk about. Hence why VAR is a half baked effort and never improved upon they want the controversy to keep the media turning
The picture they chose for Warnock 🤣🤣

I've no time for Warwick and I'm a leeds fan but Jesus hes one funny guy
What a legend Warnock is. And a very successful coach considering how his side's have performed without him
Fair point comparing to rugby refs , the behaviour towards them is much more respectful. My father is a former international referee and now works for Georgian rugby union training refs, his opinion is, if you mic them up it will change everyones behaviour on the pitch inc the referees
The treatment Boro have had from refs over the years is ridiculous
Totally agree with this fella, Warnock’s behaviour on the touchline has always been disgraceful. If he’s so good why does he feel the need to act like a knob on the sidelines every week?
I started referring at 14 in 1994 and what you see in grass roots now we saw back then. Okay it's not as bad as now but society has changed. Martin Cassidy needs to look at the real issues. The Fa's are the problems they don't refs at all. I quit after I was attacked and the Locsl FA did nothing. Cassidy needs to look at the real issues

Why? He's always moaning at refs.
I see Warnock as a PE teacher...you know those ones you get at tough schools who have been there for about 50 years. He's the kind of bloke that takes all the really badly behaved, rough tough kids and teaches em some 'fookin manners'.
not just that. he cares about his players
Not enough men like Warnock in football for me. Too many yes men/ puppets/ robots. I find Chris Wilder a bit similar, just everyday football blokes who have real passion

Very truth why don't they wire them up life the other refs, but then I flip it and I would also say it's probably because the players say stuff that is bad also.
Warnock shouldn’t change his ways for anyone, he’s been in the game far longer then most of us. Respect your elders!! Warnock is a legend!!
You mean Neil or Mr Warnock, get some manners !
I thought referees were already mic'd up.
Warnock has a point, you would never get refs wired up like in rugby, not 100% on the refs if you ask me that though. he's down to earth and to the point, passion is needed, he doesn't tread on eggshells!
It was a blatant headbutt by Austin tho
Referees in this country are shocking. My club is in the championship, and the refs there are so bad. I dread to think how bad they are in League one and two. Neil Warnock is a legend and tells it how it is.
Imagine if Warnock was my grandfather and I broke his expensive vase
The most important question is , where are warnocks eyebrows 🤔
You mean Neil or Mr Warnock !
Proper old school manager. Wish there were more like him.
Remember kids are watching ya! We can't control parents pal!
Neil Warnock is actually a qualified referee he knows what he's talking about whereas how many referees have actually played football, most of them don't know what a physical challenge is like, even a fair shoulder charge is deemed to be a foul.
At least Warnock tells the truth, not the sterilised monotone rubbish most come out with
Boro went well over a year without a penalty when Warnock became boss. Some of the decisions were criminal.
This is coming from a manager that said jagielka should’ve been sent off why one of his players elbowed him and made him bleed and didn’t get penalised
Who’s Martin Cassidy nobody, Neil well done 👏 for standing up for him
Love Neil ! Talks sense 👏
Yeah we didn't want to hear the whole conversation, so glad it was edited 🙄
He got lined up 🤣
Got to respect warnock doesn’t sugarcoat anything
It's the passion that's always been in football, Neil Warnock is no worse than Fergie was, or Wenger, Klopp can be, Mourinho, even Pep, the list of Managers who are vocal or disrespectful towards refs isn't a new thing and it's part of the game. Rather than moan about it via the Media, just fine or ban like its always been. Refs can make mistakes, but it's clubs, fans, more so Managers who pay for their mistakes in the long run.
It wouldn't be a Talksport comments section without a bunch of folk crying about snowflakes.
Most people are snowflakes though. Everyone is dying to be offended by something.
Refs in the football league and premier league are amongst the worse. They need to be held accountable
It’s embarrassing how much protection the officials get. Week in week out they do a pathetic job - they get protected more than anyone else in the game. They don’t lose their jobs when they make consistently poor decisions, they aren’t scrutinised nearly as much as the players after a game and they take no responsibility. They aren’t interviewed straight after a game, they never justify their decisions publicly and they think they’re above people like Neil Warnock who have actually impacted the sport and achieved things. If they were interviewed after games, were fitted with a microphone during play and were punished for poor decisions more firmly then managers and players would show their displeasure less towards them. The officials get an easy ride whilst doing an abysmal job.
. More to life
Warnock is spot on with what he's saying here. Refs are not trained to the standard that Warnock believes the game needs.
Wasting your time a scouser will argue to the death, they're never wrong! Can't back down because their ego won't let them.
Referee representative asking Warnock why he didn’t have a go at Charlie Austin during the game. Because that’s the referee’s job, and I’m sure if Warnock had stepped in from the dugout he would have got himself in trouble. Let’s face facts here, the quality of refereeing in the English Leagues is a disgrace and not up to the quality required.
If Warnock’s behaviour encourages others to do the same as him, then good. Best way for refs to avoid this is to do a decent job rather than hiding behind their union.
My unpopular opinion: referees should be paid more to attract better professionals to the positions. They currently earn average the same as a decent tradesperson who does their x years training and have no pressure.
Neil Warnock is an absolute legend haha
