    Thanks, finally a video that doesn't start with "your coils are dirty" or "I don't know what's wrong with it but let's take it apart and see", I dropped the cover on mine, touched the lead wire and the thermistor fell out, wasn't secured in the evaporator at all. Putting a new one in.

    YOU DA MAN!!!! I couldn't figure out what was wrong and had not clue what that part was as it was just hanging free when I cleaned my filters.
    You just saved me from suffering in triple digit heat. THANK YOU!!!

      I second that remark. I’m full-time in my RV living in South MS and mine was not even close to the coils in order to read temp. You have helped me out big time. Thank you!

    I went and checked mine it wasn't stuck in a coil it was just free floating in the air so I stuck at the very top of the very right looking up into the intake because I've noticed that's where it freezes over first I've watched so many videos on this and yours is the first one I found that even brought this up kudos to you and your informational video

    Generally the last number/letter on a part number denotes a change to the part or revision to the part drawing. The number/letter usually is separated by a dash to make it easier to notice. In this case the number probably means a change to the blue colored female spade connectors.

    The temperature sensor to the radiator to the top and not the middle will that reduce the ice build up? The camper is brand new 1st time out we are only on day5 of the trip. We resealed the cold air leaks ., but the ice starts at the top and stops at the probe sensor from that point down is dry

    • @aaronsrose

      It won't hurt to try. If that is the coldest part of the evaporator, it might help if the sensor is good. Thanks!

      Believe it or not I had stuff blocking my freezer air flow and it caused the freezer to freeze up and the AC would blow warm air.. I unthawed my freezer and the AC is now cold again ..I'm having problems with the auto and fan though so it may be faulty wiring for me .,just a thought.. maybe it would help someone

    My AC is a Duo-Therm by Dometic, every now and then it freezes up what could be the cause of this?

    • @aaronsrose
      @aaronsrose  Před 3 lety

      Howdy! There are a few things it could be. Low refrigerant would do it about all the time so if it's intermittent, that's probably not it. Restricted airflow is the most common cause. Check all your filters and duct vents to make sure they're clear. Then there should be something like the anti freeze probe I changed on mine. That would do the same thing. Thanks!

    Hi I have a Rv a/c compresor trip the breaker night time after all day work today i cleaned the coils blower wheel
    Is been like this for a month.what could be?thanks

    • @aaronsrose
      @aaronsrose  Před 5 lety +1

      If it's the ac breaker and not the camper main, it could be a weak capacitor, or fan motor or compressor starting to fail. It could also be a breaker itself getting weak. Without knowing which piece of the system is pulling high amps, it will be difficult to pinpoint the problem.

    • @MrJosebolivar
      @MrJosebolivar Před 5 lety +1

      Hi thanks for the feedbacks.I am still working on Rv a/c after I’ve been check the run and start capacitor that was in good mfd the compresor on and off every 2 minutes

    • @aaronsrose
      @aaronsrose  Před 5 lety

      One other thing you might check. I swapped the analog wall controller units for digital ones. Coleman brand. One of the digital ones failed and it would do silly things like run the compressor but not the fan. I went back to the analog and it was fine.

  • @mattp8728
    @mattp8728 Před 4 lety +1

    My A/C is not 'freezing' up but blows warmish air during the heat of the day. This is a mach 15 2020 a/c mind you. Could this be our problem too?

    • @aaronsrose
      @aaronsrose  Před 4 lety

      Maybe not. In my experience, when the freeze sensor fails the unit will over cool rather than be too warm. I've had some issues with my wall controllers so if you have 2 units, the first thing I'd do is switch the controllers and see if the problem moves. If it stays the same, I'd start looking in the roof unit to see that the compressor is running when it should and that there are no visible leaks. Good luck.

    • @aaronsrose
      @aaronsrose  Před 3 lety

      I'd start with this check on the sensor and if that is good, I'd probably give the AC unit OEM a call. Mine was good for several years before it started acting up.

    Will this effect the cooling?

    • @aaronsrose
      @aaronsrose  Před 2 lety +1

      When mine froze up it would be super cold until it froze and then basically stop moving any air. Once I changed the thermistor probe it was fine again. Thanks!

    So I have them same A/C and I just changed my freeze probe with the same exact one you have . And it froze on me again . I’ll check my underside to see if it’s sealing up at the divider. The unit blows cold so I do not believe it’s low on the coolant
