  • A symbol of danger and seduction, Pink is a vibrant and emotive color in both the human world and the animal kingdom. Join us as ASU professors and museum curators discuss the evolution, benefits, and impact of pink. Dr. Kevin McGraw, from the School of Life Sciences, will address animal coloration and how those visual signals evolve in feathers and scales. Teresa Devine, from the School of the Humanities, Arts, and Cultural Studies, brings an expertise of color history and its influential use in modern game design; and costume historian Karan Feder will discuss the color pink and fashion. Moderated by the Jacquie Dorrance Curator for Fashion Design, Helen Jean, the conversation promises to be lively, surprising and full of fascinating pink facts.
Art Talk is made possible by the generosity of the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Fund for Education Programs.
