I really wish they wouldn't have used Native Americans to further their art and beliefs. You find it interesting, I find it to be another clear example of stolen honor, appropriation, and the "Noble Savage" trope. It's been nothing but harmful to indigenous peoples.

My mother owned MOS from the late 70s til the 90s when she read about it being the lost painting of Agnes Pelton in the local newspaper. She contacted the local museum and now you all can enjoy it. Stories say she was a little old lady that didn't know what she had. She had it displayed above her bed from my teen years til adulthood. Out whole family loved that painting and I was sad to see it leave our home. I haven't seen it since

I'm calling for a boycott of this #desertrider exhibit going on at the Denver Art Museum as it represents our lowriding lifestyle in a negative light. Shame on Denver Art Museum and their support of artists that are using our beautiful Lowrider lifestyle to push their propaganda to farther their cause. I will not support anyone who is trying to destroy amd cause a cancer in a lifestyle we have shed blood, swear and tears to see it destroyed. I hope the lowrider worldwide brother and sisters stand with me when this exhibition comes to your city to take a stand and not support it. Also it spotlights " women as objects of serial desire " and farther stereotypes women as jus women that got nothing less to lowridering but their bodies. Our queens are women are of strong moral character. There are daughters, sisters, mothers women that make great contributions more than just what the stereotype of the past. Shame on you Denver Art Museum for not doing your research. This is truly a mark on your credibility. Please inform yourselves better in the future. Talk to the people that actually live breath and live this beautiful lifestyle everyday of their lives not just "studio lowriders". We love breath, revolve around this beautiful lifestyle.
