I wouldn’t blame Punk if he quit AEW after all of this. Let’s not forget that the entire reason Collision exists is because of Punk and it wouldn’t be shocking to see that show scrapped by the network if he leaves. Jack Perry might have just cost Tony Khan $50 million.
Staying is better…it’s resiliency in the face of blatant pussy bullying…he leaves they win he stays and fucks with them he wins or at the very least prolongs the inevitability of him leaving
@@tobiasfarragut292he’s a grown man with money not a HS student trying to win petty drama
It still baffles me how people think punk is the problem after the Elite and their friends were the ones who started all the bullshit 😂 every time i ask what did punk do to trigger the snowflakes i can never get an intelligent answer
@@PlayzieBum he isn’t a ‘HS Student’ and doesn’t need to engage or feed into it true..but if you’re not going to be bested by those children and wish to stay and fulfill your commitments and contractual obligations …then why not linger around to spite them without trying hard? I’m sure just him being there and “Not Quitting” is enough to wad up their panties
Well he could best em in a different way by leaving and having numbers drop
Honestly hearing all this CM Punk drama made me wish it was Brock Lesnar in his place. Can you imagine the Elite and their buddies trying to pull this shit on Brock 💀 ohh the money I would pay to witness that
This is solely the only reason they probably do this because if Punk was as physically big as Brock he’d just squash them and they’d be gone but who even knows with Tony because realistically Brock would of been squashed them or wouldn’t get too deep into this like punk
brock doesn't hang out in the locker room
Brock wouldn't ever be dumb or desperate enough to sign with AEW in the first place. That's why Punk was in that position instead of Brock.

I think it's pretty odd most wrestling news sources are reporting it as a CM Punk problem when for the most part to me it seems like it's a group of young wrestlers who are mad a big name guy is stealing their thunder
The lemmings in the "wrestling media" will gladly walk off whichever cliff Uncle Dave tells them to.
It’s a generational war. In the past, the kids shut up and did their jobs or they were shown the door. Unless they drew money or proved they could perform on a nightly basis for years, they didn’t get to talk down to veterans. Tony is younger, inherited wealth, so he identifies with the younger guys. He also isn’t running AEW to pay his bills. He’s still filthy rich and stands to inherit a billion dollars. AEW isn’t a business. It’s an ego trip, a toy and a way to show off to his dad that he can be a businessman too. So he has friends who he pays big money to play with him. Moxley wouldn’t get millions in WWE. Whatever you think about Punk’s track record as an employee, he’s the veteran and marquee name in AEW. But that doesn’t matter because unlike Vince McMahon, Tony Khan has never been broke and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Vince has left money on the table many times, but he’s made enough good business decisions because he’s lived in a trailer park. Tony let’s this go on because if AEW fails, he just has to make excuses to his dad. His lifestyle doesn’t change. Signing Punk is all about bragging rights. If he has to part ways to keep his friends happy, fine. AEW isn’t a business.
Yep! But the worst offenders, Omega, the Jacksons are pushing 40, and Jericho is 53 or whatever.
It's crazy to me, seeing these dirt sheets painting CM Punk as the bad guy in this! Can you imagine a midcard guy going off script on WWE tv in Wrestlemania, spouting off, and then starting a fight backstage with like Seth Rollins or Cody? They would have beat the piss out of them and fired them on the spot. I can't wrap my mind around people making excuses for the Elite and their cronies and thinking this is Punk's fault and OK.
Maybe because Punk, by the reports, initiated the confrontation and escalated the situation, instead of acting like a mature adult who is twenty years older than Perry? Perry was acting like a child, sure, but so was Punk. It's just embarrassing. Punk couldn't keep his ego in check even for the biggest show in AEW's history. And it's exhausting the way Punk simps absolutely REFUSE to acknowledge that a grown man is responsible for his own actions. He's the one with the fragile ego who keeps initiating these fights after he feels slighted, not the other way around. If he had a problem with Perry's shoot comment - something PUNK HIMSELF is famous for, hypocrisy much? - he should have talked to Tony Khan, not tried to pick ANOTHER fight.
But, sure, of course HE'S not the problem, everyone else is. Everywhere he goes he causes drama, but that's not because of him, it's because of everyone else! It's just because everyone is jealous that he's a big big star who acts like he owns this company that isn't his! Logic!
Wrestling will be a lot less toxic when he retires for good.
Nebraska women's volleyball just got 92,003 people to attend a game in Memorial Stadium. 😂 That's just funny. Let's see Tony Khan go to Lincoln, Nebraska and top that. 😂
That's badass Congrats to those ladies 🎉
That's mind-boggling. Even when the Cornhuskers had their National Championship runs, the football team never had that kind of attendance.
That’s for the cornbread fed ass. And we all know that
How much were the tickets though? It's a mind-boggling attendance, but if the seats were free or small bucks, it's another whole story.
$32-$1600 roughly were the tickets prices AEW
Maybe THE EVPs had something to do with punks traveling issues and put FTR over to cover it up🤔🤔🤔
i bet you are a antivaxxer huh
Seems the guy in charge of the travelling arrangements in AEW is good buddies with the Bucks... funny that CM Punk then finds his travel arrangements missing lol. TBH think Perry is trying to finish what Bucks started last year....trying to oust Punk.
The more you hear about that fight with Punk, the more Perry comes across as Ziggy from the Wire:
"You gave me bad advice!"
Tbf, nobody got transportation from the airport to the hotel, AEW doesn’t do that just like WWE didn’t do that
Bingo
ILOVE the Artwork by Travis for this part of the show..Awesome job
As someone who was at the PPV it was a good event very long at times but fun all the same wasn't expecting much and it was better than I expected
Can’t wait to go back nxt year. The crowd was buzzing long before the gates opened and long after the show. The crowd will be back nxt year
I think part of the reason that this event was so successful was due to the amount of UK fans that were picked up in the Attitude Era who never got to go to anything other than a house show. I am 30 and became a fan in 1999 and this was the first PPV I have ever had the opportunity to attend. I jumped at the chance and although it wasn't the best show I have ever seen, I still had a great time and I am happy I have finally attended a wrestling PPV. The Punk match was enjoyable, the FTR/Bucks match got the biggest reaction of the night from me due to the fact I was convinced The Bucks were going over. Also, I have to admit that I enjoyed the Football Field Fuckery match way more than I expected to. (but I think it is because me and my girlfriend were taking the piss out of Pockets the whole match)
I haven’t seen any of the American wrestling podcasts really understand just how different the fans and culture are in the UK and Europe. It’s not just starved of shows, but the fans consume the whole of wrestling very differently. Jim completely missed the mark if he thinks this is just a single “the happening”, and that they would struggle to do well once a year at the same venue. Regardless of the card.
You're wrong. There has been plenty of WWF PPV's here in the Attitude Era, WWE just did 2 PLE's here in the last year. If it was just because its the UK, TNA would have drawn more than 7900 in an arena they set up for 12500.
@@ultimatemagic2125TNA doesn’t have Khan influence or money.
In an other way, WWE has long been underestimating the number of fans there is in the UK and Europe

For all his issues in AEW, CM Punk will make a mint now off of his autobiography. That is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
I think he'll try for one final short run in WWE so that he can have an end to his career that isn't another public falling out with his employers. You just know if it ends here, the Elite will use all their stroke to paint him as the modern day Ultimate Warrior.

I'm sick of the babies in AEW. Would love to see CM Punk take the real world championship to WWE.
@@james2651 Ummm no.
The rappers that rapped Swerve to the ring weren't just rapping some random song. That's Swerve's entrance song for ALL his matches. I'm assuming those two are the ones who performed that original song.
And they were out of time to their own song…fml, whether a delay in the ear piece or whatever…it was awful
All In was awesome, I was in the stadium, I loved it, I’ll be back there next year too.
Average at best ! Was not awesome 😅
Aew will be dead within 5 years
The biggest plot twist would be CM Punk promising HHH backstage in RAW that he'll start the fights to steal the spotlight from All In.
It was a real Jekyll and Hyde show, it showed the best and absolute worse AEW can be in the same show, cm punk/joe, FTR and cole and MJF was entertaining as hell, then the moxley match made me question why I watch wrestling and life itself.
I think he does that for the stoners lighting up ahead of the “Real” matches like a funny intermission/ bathroom break

As a stoner I can agree that some get a kick of what Moxley does, but at least in my case is like watching an episode of Jackass and Botchamania, for wrestling I go watch Punk, MJF, Adam Cole, etc
It's so weird hearing about a show I was at in-person aha. It was incredible!
I tried my hardest to like AEW with CM Punk being included on the show, but this AEW fanbase not only lacks competency, but basic common courtesy and humanity as well. I had a friend that went to Wembley and an EVP fan told her to stop cheering Punk and cussed her out when she continued and threatened her as well with violence. What a world we live in where the truth gets you exiled from existence.
Can’t diss the whole fanbase because one guy is a chump.

WWE shows are on paid TV , BT sport/TNT Sport
Biggest ppv buys, probably.
I pre ordered in Spain cause it was just 16 usd. I cared for 3-4 matches only but wanted to see the stadium and the atmosphere. Well worth the 16 bucks
That's a great ppv price
People still pay for these things ? I haven't paid to watch a PPV event since the mainstream creation of the internet .WWE so called PPVs are on Peacock (Free TV). Imagine paying for a less product that you normally can watch for free on TV with no real cinsistant stars.
Gotta be up next -- with a working title of "Thumb a Ride Battle Royale" -- the logistics are being worked out for a cinematic masterpiece to take place on a major highway from the airport to an arena.
The attendance was a 'so called' big thing, but then today, a women's volleyball game, that's right, a women's volleyball game in Nebraska, just set a record with 92,000 in the football stadium.. for real, google it.😆😆

There were clear moments in the women's match which caused the break up of the Outcasts. Namely Toni accidentally punching Saraya's mom!
*Mum
Pretty clear neither Jim nor Brian watched the match.
I had the match playing in the background and just glanced up about every minute or so and I even caught the thing with Toni hitting Saraya’s mother.
I love how Jim likes Juice Robinson, Jay White and Takeshita, before they came to AEW I never would've imagined this.
CM Punk stranded with The Curb Your Enthusiasm music playing in the background
The glass on the fists was a reference to Bloodsport, except Van Damme and the other guy had their hands covered in rope and they dipped their hands into a thick dark fluid that looked like molasses but i think it was supposed to be oil or tar, so that it would stick.
Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, London Eye, ‘The Gerkin’, Tower of London.
Now I have a vision of Moxley blading in the House of Commons, getting blood on the Mace and front benches.
With Saraya and Ospreay...I think it's the same like Bret Hart...when he's in Canada, it doesn't matter whether he's a face or heel..The crowd will cheer him on
In fairness to the inclusion of Saraya's mother in proceedings - Sweet Saraya (Senior/Classic/Whatever) is something of a wrestling legend in her own right over here - as far back as 1992 she was on Welsh language wrestling TV show Reslo managing her husband Ricky Knight and his "Superflys" tag partner Jimmy Ocean (you can see this on here.) I myself first saw her in Croydon in 1995. She was British Ladies champion 4 times 1998-2002 as well as various other titles and has been a pivotal figure in the Knight family's promotion WAW based out of Norwich.
Given the numbers alone, AEW should just relocate to the UK. I mean their US TV numbers are down, attendance for TV tapings is down, and I think they stopped doing house shows as well. All I think they do well stateside are t-shirt sales and PPV buy rates.
I hope this happens.
Yea I'm sure that their 99.9% American staff would just up and move their entire families because wrestling does better in the UK😂😂 do you even have a brain?
That's because familiarity breeds contempt - if AEW was permanently in the UK I feel like they'd get a similar drop off in the audience, especially if they adopt their pricing strategy from the US. The cheap seats for Wembley were £30, which is about half what they were for the Tyson Fury fight, and a bit less than half what they are for the NFL. It did well for a novelty act, but the same lack of substance would kill it in the UK as it is doing in the US
Attendance would be just as bad as it is in the US. They have a bad product and the continue to return to same places over and over again with diminishing returns.
Well, then watch the show?
Could somebody please time stamps these for each match.
Punk should just walk away imo. The story is even the ‘travel guy’ at AEW who left him stranded is an AEW mark on Twitter. There’s no way Tony is ever going to manage this stuff

Every single AEW fan went to this show just so they could tell the Internet they went
The pre-pre show was live streamed on CZcams for 2 hours before event, which tied in at the one hour to the other carriers feed.
Jim Ross is a legend for this pay per view
I'll bet they do 80,000 again next year. I was there, and the feedback for the show was nearly unanimously positive. Jim's correct, It wasn't the strength of the AEW brand per se that caused this crowd, WWE would have acheived it too if they had ran Wembley. The point is English fans are some of the most passionate and loyal wrestling fans worldwide but by contrast with the US, Canada, Mexico and Japan are so starved of Big time, Big event pro wrestling that they will flock to shows like this. It also helps that the show is on a Bank Holiday weekend here too.
56:16 I popped for that comment, so spot on, well done 😂
Takeshita needs actual entrance music instead of walking out to menacing sound number 3 on a loop.

Punk hitchhiking with a Wembley or bust sign 😂😂😂
Seems the plan now is to do annual Wembley UK August bank holiday weekend event, and then follow-up show week after as the USA Labour day holiday one.
That's a bad plan, if Tony wants Wembley every year and is confident to pull people in for the event, he should do it. To follow it up with another ppv event following week will be a costly mistake. WWE had issues in past with some talent missing a Raw (weekly tv show) due to travel problems. Tony should retire All Out, do All In as his August/September event
Small package to retain the AEW Championship is hilarious cause a small package got small packaged

You had to watch the preshow live. I saw the Miro contract signing, Jarrett & Big Show, all live before the ppv.
Everyone is blowing smoke about it being a sellout. Most if the tickets cost £22 thats $27.89. English fan will always give a hot crowd. there was large sections of seats covered and blocked off. If Punk does leave AEW, guaranteed he can walk back into WWE for one more run to make some money. He showed up at Raw back in April, talking to a few people, talking to Triple H even, cant tell me he wasnt trying to squash beef and move past things when he was doing that.
Covering his bases in case he can't stand dealing with the kids anymore, and wants to finish his career working with adults instead.
I hope so. He wouldn’t have to worry about trying to make anything of WWE, or “elevate young talent” ie teach idiots who can’t wrestle, or backstage bullying campaigns from a bunch of retarded adolescents and their little army of incels, just business, one year or two of big main event matches with other stars.

First off, Sammy Guevara has had the same amount of backstage altercations, as well as a suspension for saying that he'd "rape the f*ck out of Sasha Banks." On top of that, he's been unsafe in the ring.

You could run a show here every month, maybe not 81,000 but you would draw big every month. As someone who is in the north of England, we didn't go because London is just to busy and to far. To few shows in Europe. AEW to a gamble and it payed off from us Crazy European fans. WWE would have gotten as big of a crowd. But we would not get as big of a crowd like the one they had in North Korea... 160k people from a mixed event of NJPW and WCW back in 1995. But this is a really good show. Not sure how large the crowd really was since I did see lots of empty red seats. Wembley does hold up to 82k people, but it can be increased to 98k Adele looks to hold the record of most people ever in that stadium. I do hope to be there next summer to watch AEW ALL in.
94k for boxing, so there being ~13k empty seats seems right
Hopefully it gets WWE to get NXT Europe up and running so the fans can get more shows to attend. I think both Gunther and Ilya Dragunov came through wXw in Germany, so a way to elevate promotions like that would be better for me than another round of empty hardcore nonsense

omega is a shit jobber though and punk is the best in the world why would you want a jobber vs punk as a match when punk is 1000000000000000000000000 times the wrestler omega is and the elite are TRASH that are worse then jobbers hangmen page is a -5/10 the young fucks are a -10/10 and omega is a -3/10 and the only one that is almost a mid wrestler but omega still needs another 10 years to learn to wrestle as he is green and ive never seen him before aew because wwe didnt want him because he sucks
I went to my first ever wrestling event (after all these years…) and became a world record holder. Weird without commentary maybe somebody will tell me that was for the best?
Most wrestling commentary is awful
Kevin Kelly is probably best right now
All Elite Stunt Fighting.
And i thought Bischoff got lucky in 94.
"Ricky Knight v Flesh Gordon" and "Flesh Gordon & Geraint Clywd v Jimmy Ocean & Ricky Knight" on Arthur Pyscho's cnannel
In '92 Saraya senior was in full gangster's moll/vamp showgirl mode as the Superflys' manager
There is plenty of later stuff of her on here too if you look for it.
I was there with my Cornette tee !!!!
Me and my son were in attendance. It was an amazing main event the crowd were so good,
56:17 This popped me.
"A lackluster of a program" - Jim Cornette
It may not have looked awesome ahead of time. But it was a great show for the paid attendees.
Seems like Cody saw all these problems coming and had sense to get out before it hurt his character and reputation
Maybe there's someone out there more familiar with the Bucks work history that can answer this. It seems to me like Nick carries alot of the workrate for their side in a match pretty much since before AEW when Matt's back was in question and people were saying Nick should go single. Guess what I'm asking is if Nick's been carrying their weight since then?
I'm not a Young Bucks historian (or fan), but I've seen enough of their matches to at least confirm that I've long had the same observation myself. The main difference between them though, in my observation, is that Nick is actually willing to sell (and does it well) and tell a story when he's against the right opponent, like FTR, or against Rappongi 3K in New Japan. Matt just seems interested in being a fucking Road Warrior trapped in Downtown Bruno's body.
@@RagnarokB what I thought, it really comes across like Matt's kind of been holding the rest back if for no other reason limitations. Not that I would have been a fan of the Elite if I'd started with the CZcams series, but I was for a bit. The rub from Styles and Balor as well as some selective matches elevated them a bit above what they were ready for, as well as Meltzer's weird obsession. But there was potential there, Gado managed to get something out of em.
Most people in the stadium, myself included, had a great experience and we'll definitely be back next year. Also I know a lot of people that haven't been that want to come next year so I think the event will draw similar numbers especially if they put a strong card together and announce it beforehand. The UK public is starved for big wrestling events and do it once a year will keep it fresh enough so people will come back.
WWE tried it a few years ago, but in Australia instead of the UK.
It was a better show to be honest compared to most of their Saudi shows.
WHO'S WAITING FOR THE STARKS VS STEAMBOAT REACTION VIDEO 😂😂
That's a fake for cm punk to come out. Not hard to work out 😂
