- Here i will show you the Insulation Resistance Tester UT 511 from UNI-T and what kind of measurements are possible. The UT 511 is the cheapest tester in a series of 3 models. The price is from about 100 € (UT511) up to a bit more than 300€ (UT513).

Good walkthrough. Thank you!
I like your review...... please adding more about the insulation test.
Very nice demonstration, thank you
Thanks! Quite helpful video.
Thanks for giving information insulation tester.
❤️💪Thanks very mutch for the video! 🤗
Thanks for sharing. Perfect
Great review! Thanks!
Is it possible to set the 1st timer to 30sec and the 2nd timer to 60sec to calculate the dielectric absorption ratio? Or is it even already implemented?
yes, you can set each timer between 5 seconds and 29:30 minutes by pressing the timer button and than the arrows right/left.
Thank you sir
Thanks for the video... will there be more videos with the use of the UT511...?✌
Hi, thank you for your interest. I´m thinking of more things i can do with this instrument, but right now it's not enough for a new video. (i.e: you can check the leakage current of capacitors.... but be very careful handling the tested caps!!!)
Useful
I have same with me in our project to perform IR but it show OL even when perform IR and Resistance bar goes up
Thank you for the review
But they should change this type of battery
Indonesia👏👏👏😊👍
Hi, you can make a video with a ground measurement at home?
i will try to make one next time...
What's your opinion about the device ?
Hi, sorry for late answer. Though it has limited purpose, I`m quite satisfied with this device. And yes you're right, this type of batteries is a mess :-)
Very informative video please share reviews of UT 513A
Hi Muhammad, as i bought the UT 511 for my workbench, i have no access to the UT 513. But the procedure will be the same
A consult... Test DAR?
Why its shows OL On Screen.?
Hi, measuring current or voltage with a multimeter, you have to choose the measuring range on the meter (if it's not a autorange...). Lets say you set the 20V range, that means the meter will show values up to 20V. If you have 21Volts on the meter Input, the meter will show "OL" for OverLoad (the voltage is too high to be displayed). Then you have to switch to the next higher range: 200V. The meter will now show 21Volt.
If you are measuring Resistance (Ohms) and the TestLeads are open, the meter will show "OL" for an Open Loop. If you shorten the Test Leads, or put a resistor between (inside the range!) the meter will show the value.
@@mse6424 OL = Open Loop not OverLoad!!! And has nothing to do with voltage to high but with resistance to high in Ohm measurements.
