But or Rent - Hook - ‱ Hook
When his young children are abducted by his old nemesis, Capt. Hook (Dustin Hoffman), middle-aged lawyer Peter Banning (Robin Williams) returns to his magical origins as Peter Pan. Peter must revisit a foggy past in which he abandoned Neverland for family life, leaving Tinkerbell (Julia Roberts) and the Lost Boys to fend for themselves. Given their bitterness toward Peter for growing up -- and their allegiance to their new leader, Rufio -- the old gang may not be happy to see him.

In the original stage play, and in the book, Tinker Bell drank poison that was originally meant for Peter from Captain Hook. In the animated movie, they changed this to a bomb. I highly recommend the live action movie, with Jason Isaacs, which is much more faithful to the book and the play, then the animated Disney movie.

This is truly my absolute favorite Peter Pan film hands and hook down. I’ve actually been involved in two productions of Peter Pan. The first one was a version that we had wrote based on the book and I was Smee in that one. The second production I did was the actual Broadway production and I was one of the pirates. I recently learned that the moment Peter choose a Thud as his successor, the reactions are genuine. Spielberg and Robin Williams knew who would get the sword and kept quiet about it. So none of the Lost Boys ever knew who would be the successor. At the 25th anniversary, Dante Bosco as well as the other last boys squeeze backed into their lost boy costumes and honored Robin Williams, since he was not there to share a happy moment with them. RIP Robin Williams. đŸ§šđŸ»âš”ïžđŸŽâ€â˜ ïžâ°đŸŠđŸ’šđŸ’›â€ïžđŸ–€

I haven’t gotten through the entire reaction yet, so Idk if you catch it later, but if you don’t, Rufio is played by a baby Dante basco, who voices Zuko in Avatar the last airbender. His voice is one of those distinctive voices (like Helen Hunt or Morgan Freeman) that i’d recognise him anywhere. Also, John Williams made the score for this movie, so it obviously slaps. It’s similar in feel to the home alone soundtrack to me, which gives it such a strong nostalgia feel and almost a christmasy vibe

I still love Hook to this day. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I remember the first time I saw Hook I fell in love with it. Made me want to be a Lost Boy and go to Neverland. I loved Rufio. As a child I saw him as an older brother figure which is what led me wanting an older brother. When I first saw the scene where Rufio gets stabbed I literally gasped, cried, and asked my mum why did he die. I also didn't have a father figure for part of my up bringing as a kid so I didn't just cry cause Rufio died, I cried cause of that line he says "Do you know what I wish? I wish I had a dad like you." Hearing that hit me hard as a child. I saw Peter Pan as a father figure for me. As an adult and mother now and I watch that scene it still hurts and makes me cry. Especially the ending of the film gets me now when Peter says "To live will be an awfully big adventure." R.I.P Robin Williams.

it hurts because Rufio is so much older. some kid who grew up in such a shitty life that he had to literally escape his reality...with either an absentee or worse, an abusive, dad. He runs away and meets kids just like him, and is practically on par with Peter, which you can imagine takes real belief and commitment to being in Neverland. But then Peter leaves, and in a blink he returns and is old. But this time Rufio gets to see a real dad....and probably starts to feel that connection. But then he dies. All it takes is a little imagination and that character hits REAL hard. And it's Dante Basco too.

Yup bringing it back brother absolutely beautiful because here we go again folks one of the best popular movies of the 90s with every popular actor in it back then like Robin Williams Julia Roberts Dennis Hoffman and many more like him playing the best captain hook ever and vice versa with Pam and Legendary MrFunny Robin Williams who dominated the best Disney and Comedy movies like Mrs Doubtfire and Jumanji and many more masterpieces like these that still got it in 2022.
Even as a adult I can still watch a movie 😂 like hook again over and over and still never gets old unlike most movies today are either remakes of these legendary masterpieces or trilogies that should be left alone and let the kids get that magic like we did so when there older they only understand it alot better like we do now as a adult every time we watch it now which makes it much much more interesting and better as adults perspective.
It Just shows us how much has changed on my view of things is absolutely amazing and thanks to reactions now on movies and music on CZcams giving these legendary times and actors like Jaws the credit they deserve from 84 into the 90s which caused the Golden Age to happen the way it did wether it was John Candy Era Comedy and Family Movies like Planes Trains and Automobiles to Chevy Chases Vacation Movie Franchise or John McLain and Hanz Rubben tearing it up in the Die Hard Series with every other actors known to man like even Carl Winslow from Family Matters showing up in same shows to Movie Classics we love today that are rebirthed again in reactions on CZcams passing the magical torch to the next generation to love it and cherish it forever like
    we do today.
Definitely for both and always 5 classics out of every year that are the biggest franchises in the world now because of this magical time of pure masterpiece perfections that were born back then and still give the newer generation now the same golden rare gem effect like I had growing up with the best of the best in those legendary times when there was so many mega super stars all competing at once making it the greatest time ever to be alive for the best entertainment world of are lifetimes and started it all and we got the best of the best worlds and eras all combined in one for everything and yes disney is a perfect example of that in a nutshell even the animated had purpose and meaning back then and you can still watch them now over and over again and they never get old true masterpieces of writing great storylines that finish correctly and they always set you up perfectly for the next or if they have sequels or don't they still ended with you remembering them forever and feeling satisfied till this day.
Because they don't need to be remade leave that magic history alone and let the next generation get that same experience you got to growing up in the golden age of everything on the incline not decline.
Also let's not forget what else was so important then was with the most phenomenal theme music for every movie tv show that you still remember today from the best middle eighties ones like ThunderCats Ateam and GIJoe all the way to Cheers we're everybody knows your name and humming to Bill Cosby dancing to the jazz and TGIF on those wonderful looking forward to Friday nights cliffhanger series and can't wait for the conclusion next Friday night.
It didn't mater if it was Perfect Strangers Family Matters Full House or even Step by Step the writing and storylines we're so good they would even connect the shows together in a way with the actors showing up in all the series working the problems out together which is unheard of today unfortunately a truly lost masterpiece of writing cliffhangers with meaning and conclusions.
That's becauseIt didnt matter what kind of show back then writing and storytelling we're the best of the best wether it was the best sitcoms of all time like Seinfeld where you could binge laugh your way through a whole entire 8 seasons to the end with those beloved characters we all grew up
Like my favorite series of all time the had the best writing of all time and no mater how many times I watch it wether it's on youtube now with reactions with everyone or just plain regular show binge watch again you can always either learn something new that you missed before especially with reactions now which is like a new start to it again because it's there first time watching the greatest television series masterpiece of all time with you showing or catching a new perspective on the story characters that you didn't catch last time you watched it and it made way more sense this time from another person's view makes you wanting more and more that we still can still either hum sing or remember word for word till the day you die.
The bottom line is wether it's Disney or Classics like Newsies Hook and Lion 👑 King or even Sword and the Stone, and the great Robin Hood or flying and disappearing like Pete's Dragon or flying on the famous Bed Noms and Brooms Sticks or marching those streets with songs like Marry Poppins did the bottom line is simple folks it will never be like that magical time again.
unfortunately in this day in age when nothing makes sense anymore and you can't sit through most shows or movies now all the way through without going back to watching the golden age stuff over again to be fulfilled and satisfied like it always does unlike anything before

From what I remember the whole reason the Lost Boys don’t fly in this movie a practical reason, the crew found it to hard to coordinate and manage wire work for so many children, so they decided it best just to let Peter fly.

Yes the score is amazing. John Williams!
I think I remember something about the Lost Boys flying originally but something about safety they scrapped the idea. (I think)
You should totally watch the Lost Boys 'Hook 25 Years' reunion here on CZcams! The lost boys actors get together again! Its very heartwarming.

Hook hates clocks because the clock represents time. He's a man who desperately fears the waiting jaws of time that come for all people. Illustrated first as a giant crocodile that ticked like a clock. Hooks time would be running out.
