    For this game to end properly Jenova must be defeated (not sure about her genes and the clones), but I think she was able to control Sephiroth once he filled himself with rage and sorrow once he thought he was created as a monster. Sephiroth should know the truth that he is a human and his real mother Lucrecia.
    We also need to find the promise land. Cloud to find Aerith because he kept searching for her since the ending of OG.
    On the Way to a Smile: the white and black parts have a lot of hints for the new game.
    I think part 3 will be mainly a Cetra vs Jenova. Aerith vs Sephiroth. We still might get parts of OG covered, but they need a closer to the whole FFVII lore. So they might focus on new contents in part 3.

    For me it was pretty obvious that this Sephiroth is from the future. In remake the scene at the edge of creation, Cloud attacks him with his Omnislash and Seph blocks all attack‘s from this with eaz.
    Aerith get her Future memories back at the end of rebirth.

      sephiroth isnt coming back from the future. i think we are we are in the lifestream reliving the past and AC sephiroth and aerith are interacting with cloud who was just killed by yazoo and loz
      there are also signs we are also playing as AC cloud, he grabs his arm where he had geostigma during an interactions with sephiroth

      @waynepayne864 When he was "killed" by Yazoo and Loz, he didn't have his Geostigma anymore. Aerith healed him at the church just before Kadaj tried to shoot him. My bet is more that this is the arm where Hojo put Jenova cells and S cells in Cloud. It hurts because these cells are desperate to join Sephiroth and Jenova. But because Cloud still has a bit of a sense of self, he still resists it a bit, so it hurts not answering the reunion call.

    Here's the theory I've been workshopping and may explain what lead us to this point of stories repeating .
    In OG IIRC Bugenhagen talks about Holy's Judgement getting rid of everything bad for the planet- maybe even the humans. Fast forward to the end of the OG where Holy doesn't quite work against meteor...until it melds with the Lifestream...and then a bright FLASH..(this could be the Big Bang event) then the shot of Aerith's face that we've seen many times.
    Now follow me on this- All the Purgatory elements along with reliving and in some cases coming to terms with past traumas. Bro....is this Holy's Judgement? It's fused with all the memories from the Lifestream and seeing if man is indeed worthy to exist and Sephiroth is actively fighting against it, while Aerith is like "No no see? There's good stuff here still!!"
    Further crackpot you ask? Ok....The rainbow effect...IS Holy from the OG doing its thing.
    This could be an absolutely wild reveal when we go back to the Forgotten Capital with Bugenhagen at the water screen---like not only was Holy cast....We're currently IN IT!!!

      It's shameful how long some of us haven't played the OG, that we've forgotten Sephiroth's original goal was to wipe out humanity. The world of FF7 is becoming no less than the next Middle Earth, only with more Buddhist leanings thover an the Norse mythology and Judeo-Christian culture domineering the former. It makes me endlessly happy though because Buddhism, especially Zen Buddhism focuses on the spiritual and divine aspects of every little thing.., every detail, every interaction, every relationship. Everything is important and is an integral part of creation.
      Jenova is an invader. She brings with her new values, science, progress and the most evil element of all, a system of mental surveillance through her agents which ultimately fosters the tyranny of Shinra towards her ultimate goal, the elimination of all life. (All autonomous life anyway). Holy is supposed to be the ultimate antidote to this, the reset switch that's meant to restart the life stream, wiping out all the memories that are detrimental to the planet, including perhaps life itself, if it is not worthy of existence. But what sets Holy apart from the the destructive magic of the black materia is that it is a more graceful solution to the planet's problems. It resets the individual lifestreams of all living things instead of merging everything into a single pot by wounding the planet mortally with meteor, having it wipe out all life to heal itself.
      This however doesn't answer the newly introduced mystery of the convergence of worlds perfectly. How was the meteor stopped? Only if the spirits who haven't returned to the planet yet, resolve the tragic outcomes of their death, join hands with the living and overcome the will of Jenova that seeks to perpetuate the sadness, loneliness and helplessness of wandering spirits that ultimately become fiends when they are unable to find peace. Sephiroth is no different, and like many classical anime villains he doesn't really seek destruction, he seeks a catharsis that will bring his suffering to an end but his sins are too great, so more destruction is innevitable, and Cloud is his personal pet project torn between Jenova and Aerith as the main agent of fate.

  • @ChoompaLoompa1985-uw8lw

    I think the universe Cloud and Aerith had their date is in is the cracked materia in the belly of a baby weapon, the one Yuffie was drooling over and the one Sephiroth slashes with his sword which would explain the rift in the sky. Could the different weapons be the different worlds?

  • @FF7-fr
    @FF7-fr Před 2 měsíci +8

    Cloud is like a Horcrux for Sephiroth, the same way Harry is for Voldemort.
    Cloud has Sephiroth's cells (S cells) and remembers him : this is the 2 conditions that safeguards Sephiroth's existence, even dead in the LS. Thanks to Cloud being is "core", he'll always find a way to "resurrect". That's why Sephiroth wants Cloud to live. For Sephiroth to be permanently destroyed, Cloud must die. I don't know how Re-3 will solve this.

    • @slayer1156
      @slayer1156 Před 2 měsíci +3

      Not as much as die. He needs to forget about Sephiroth. It would need to also forget about what happened in FF7 and Aerith. We might get to that crossroad later.

      I wonder what the Gi's role will be, the fact that they were added in must mean something. I also noted that during Aerith's final battle against Sephiroth she questions him and asks if this is what he really wants, an eternity of loneliness? So I wonder if there's a chance that he could redeem himself (wishful thinking, but I still hope hah). Also in Remake when we get the meteor scene shown of what's to happen, Sephiroth comes and stands back to back with Cloud almost like they're allies and that shot is emphasized.

      Is not Sephiroth the One Who must be destroyed,but Jenova...Sephiroth should Simply be freed from the grasp of Jenova....Something of similar happens in the end of Advent Children,when Kadaj,the "core" of Sephiroth,accepts to cease to fight,accepts the death,and Aerith bring him up in the pure lifestream,giving him peace and forgivness...this could be a Key to have back Sephiroth the way he was in Crisis Core...and Maybe to give him a proper closure in the third part

    Excellent video. I have a feeling it's going to be Aerith and possibly Zack that helps Cloud in the lifestream this time. You may not even need Zack since Aerith already knows everything. There's a reason why they already had Tifa go into the lifestream. I have a feeling that Cloud will die in the end and reunite with Aerith in the lifestream.

    • @ViewportPlaythrough
      @ViewportPlaythrough Před 2 měsíci

      aerith fixes the lifestream thing different timelines and such. but that would not be enough since sephi is just becoming too all knowing. everytime aerith has a step forward against sephi, he has 2(or more) steps counter.
      thats where zack would come in.
      omni-sephi belittles zack because he is too obsessed with cloud and being reborn through him.
      while omni-aerith doesnt even know that zack is at play.
      zack would be the surprise element that would be the key to freedom and having choices.

    I like the theory here, but I think it's a little less sciency than that. I think all of these "worlds" we're looking at are simply memories of the planet including the Beagle world. Memories can be replayed, they can be different from the actual events that took place, AND they can be changed by a persons will. I haven't read on the way to smile, but Advent Children did end with Cloud being shot in the back before the Church Scene where he's healing kids in a pool. What if he was killed there, OR he dies some time in the future. Now he's in the lifestream reliving these powerful memories? That to me explains how some characters know what is going to happen(Aerith, Sephiroth, Cloud, Marlene, RedXIII, Fat Moogle Fortune Teller Cait Sith) They ALL were a part of these memories and lived it before.

    • @NerdGeekTalk
      @NerdGeekTalk  Před 2 měsíci +3

    • @aaronw6195
      @aaronw6195 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@NerdGeekTalk I think it's a strong possibility that memories are the key to making sense of the story. It's mostly because the lifestream has such a heavy emphasis on memories. Even Materia is an orb made of memories from the lifestream, and on top of that there is discussion in Rebirth about "forgetting things they knew" from Aerith and Red in the Junon under city that Cloud eavesdrops on. They attribute their memory problems to the whispers, and then when we get to Costa Del Sol we see Aerith with a Clear Holy Materia. I think the Whispers wiped that clean too, just like they made Aerith and Red forget things after Midgar. The Whispers seem to have this capability to alter memories including the memory of the Beagle World itself. Sephiroth is in control of those Whispers too, and that's why the moment of Aerith's death and Burial are gone. Cloud really did deflect the blade and save Aerith there, but Sephiroth edited things using the Whispers he controls to reflect the original events.

    Ngl, FF13 actually nips this in bud theory wise in relation to the function of the life stream. This plot has a lot in common with ff13 actually. Sepiroth's true desire is to circumvent the finality of "fate" and it seems his method is to basically cultivate a negative lifestream break the old cycle and create a new. Tho I don't believe he's "time traveling" tho it seems a bit simplistic to call it such it seems more like they are hoping thru other "memories" like the white materia scene.
