      Hello, thanks for this video. I have a 2015/16 Odyssey and I noticed this issue recently started after my 90k oil change.
      My question is: how do I know the exact switch to replace? Like how can I tell if it’s the 2nd or 3rd gear switch that is faulty and should be replaced?

    I was just googling 2007 Odyssey reliability and I see this video. I always admire how your videos are just straight to the point, no talking. Your engine bay is soooo clean! Thanks for the video. I have the 2007 Odyssey, but with VCM. My CEL comes on, but it is because of the safety neutral switch. I just clear the CEL and it goes away.

      Consider disabling VCM

      Disable VCM before it eats your motor mounts, cv boots, and intake plenum. Or more! Theres really no downside.

    I found my issues. I replaced the valve cover gaskets and had to disconnect wires to get more room for the back valve cover to clear the wire harness. I disconnect the 2&5 transmission oil pressure switch and didn't connect it back. I saw your post where those 2 solenoids was located at. Thank you for the informations.

    Hey I just found your channel nice videos..I have a 2006 Odyssey and its in "Limp Mode" VSA check engine light on..Wont go over 3500 rpms. I just did a crankshaft position sensor any idea on how to fix it

      You need to deep scan the PCM to get the code and it will tell you which sensor is failing.

      I got an OBD2 scanner…after scanning , it says the vehicle has no fault codes. DTCs stored in the ECU is 0.

    I’m getting CEL, LDW, and FCW lights on after doing this. I actually think I got similar lights after installing VCM muzzler, but after a few reboots of the engine, they cleared. Should I expect similarly here, or think I might have missed a step somewhere?

    I have 2014 Odyssey EXL, I saw on Honda catalog that there is another AT pressure switch with the part number 28610-R36-004. I'm trying to replace both the 2nd and the 3rd switches and want to make sure that I'm ordering the right parts. Is there any chance that the other part number is for the 2nd clutch switch?

    Hello sir, thank you for posting this great video. We have a 2018 with 9 speed transmission and for the longest time I couldn't find the pressure switch on the transmission. Am assuming there's none expose on these 9 speed? Am afraid the whole transmission would have to be replaced and with that do you know if it can be possible to upgrade to a 10 speed without any programming..? Thank you

      the ZF 9-speed is terrible, honda used it for a short while, now they use only the 10 speed in the 5th gen

    I have a 2003 honda odyssey that the transmission fluid burst out occasionally when hot on hwy, was told by a mechanic that there is a pressure relief valve at top of transmission that allow s that but cannot locate such. After happening and slowly getting to a station to replace oil. Happened two additional times and just added about 3/4 quart of oil each time and good to go. What's happening and how to correct.

      Check if the vent tube is blocked, that should happen. Make sure you're not overfilling the ATF.

    @MrRangerZr1 hey brother how is everything ? I have a question what was the issue that make you change the fluid pressure switch? I have a 2010 Acura MDX with a jerking transmission from 1st to 2nd gear shift I almost tried everything the jerk occurred when driving in traffic and accelerating gently. I did changed the fluid 4 times in less than 10k miles I changed the 2nd and 3rd gear pressure switch I did changed the transmission fluid filter and nothing change I still felt the same issue.

      @MrRangerZr1 hey sir sorry for been bothering you a lot like you recommended me I get the foxwell nt510 the same you has and I got it today I was checking for stores DTC and I found a permanent one the code is 77-1 the functional abnormalities of fuel emission or automatic transmission and it also say that the all wheels drive was off. I was googling but I can’t found anything with that code. I do clear the code and test drive the car but it was as before. Do you have any idea what could be wrong if it’s something related to the transmission or to fuel system. Thank you

      Most of the memory saver kits use a lower voltage and it isn't enough you save the memory because the Odyssey has so many gadgets I made a memory saver out of a double A battery holder that uses 8 rechargeable NIMH AA Zoe's 12-volt with enough backup current it to keep it going as long as you don't turn anything on but like he said you could just press the radio button and it resets it you don't need a code you want to save it if you were having upcoming smog check or something

I don’t know if this odyssey and the 2010 Acura MDX has the same transmission but both are 6 speed transmission . I try it searching on google but there is no diagrams or pictures that showed you exactly where they’re located. The parts number for my MDX are the same at this oddysey. Thank you .

      @@astroimagers Yeah, its close to the power steering rack. I eventually found since I have a broken power steering rack and was cleaning it and bump into the 2nd gear switch. Looks like I will have to swap the PS rack. Not a fun job. But waiting for the summer to be gone. I am in Texas and the heat here is no joke.

      No shuddering was never resolved and cannot be resolved, it's just a honda thing...I tried software updates to changing to different ATFs, no difference.

Ah well, ordered and will attack it within the next couple weeks. I'll update if I come across anything interesting.

      @@MrRangerZr1 no code, just shifting between 2nd and 3rd. Like it drops a gear, gets confused and shifts back and forth. Or it will hold a gear for too long. Usually 2nd or 3rd range.

      @@ART224 some reason these have switch/solenoid issues. At least the internals are strong.

      @@MrRangerZr1 Last time I messaged about pressure switch A, I was at about 49k. I just replaced the same one again at 74k. Ironically, both times they went bad about 4k miles after I drained and filled the transmission fluid. Have you ever had one last only 25k miles? Seems like a pretty short life for this part.
