With the Galaxy Tab S7's new 120HZ display and Snapdragon 865+ processor, along with new speakers, keyboard case, and S-pen performance Samsung finally has an absolutely fantastic tablet in their lineup and one that comes in quite a bit less expensive than the 2020 iPad Pro.

    1. 120hz display
    2. MicroSD expendable storage
    3. 5G capability
    4. Samsung DEX - the only reason I use this device over my iPad Pro, Samsung Dex has made this device so convenient and school oriented for me, even when I'm not using it for school purpose I find it so much easier to mutiltask using multi apps in a Windows like OS.

Great tablet for basically everything. czcams.com/users/postUgkxLNmVocUk8tnSkwWIlYSNFzWRIaFTBuzS I bought it specifically for art, and that 4k screen is really fantastic for it! Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects! You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though! One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

I am starting to like Samsung more, but also, I have been stuck with an iPhone 8 for years, so I haven’t really experienced the newer phones. When I received the tab s7, I was completely blown away. I was considering both and went with the S7+. No regrets so far. I am a mixed Apple/Android user, so I like both platforms, but the price is the big thing here. The S7 has expandable storage. For an equivalent 1TB iPad Pro with Pencil and Keyboard, its like $800 more... But each has their strengths. If you are a hardcore pro digital artist, then iPad Pro due to the apps and aspect ratio. For movies and entertainment the 16:9 ratio on the S7 is better, and is still extremely capable for hobby-artists.

Just bought iPad Pro 11. Was considering between s7 and iPad Pro. After touching it in person, s7 disappointed me and made me choose iPad.
    1. Right-click doesn’t always work. Not many things even support right-click. It was frustrating.
    2. Aspect ratio. S7’s longer aspect ratio makes it better for laptop replacement &media consumption. However, it feels awkward to use it in portrait since it is way to long. iPad’s aspect ratio makes it better to use as a tablet.
    3. Software. Not many Apps are optimized for landscape uses and s7’s aspect ratio (I.e: Twitter). Many awesome apps found in Apple’s App Store aren’t to be found on Google’s Play Store (Procreate, GoodNotes, Notability, etc)
    4. Also software support. iPad can support at least 5 to 7 years of software update, while Samsung only promise 3 years.
    5. I have had bad experiences with Samsung. My two Samsung phones (Alpha and S7) were buggy, slow, had bad battery life.

The tablet side of android of course it was a dumpster fire, the few reason why the optimisation is lacking in my opinion. And as tab s7 gain more fame, these problem aren’t even a thing in the future
and really..tech going fast nowadays, what’s the point to keep your smelly old iPad Pro that will drain your battery on every update? (I have iPad Pro gen 1) Of course you need to keep upgrade to the lastest and greatest iPad Pro’s and plus, after 3 year has pass, the tab s7 won’t explode to bits, you can use it normally like updating apps and such but the Ui and security update will fading away, but don’t Worry!
You can actually root your tab so you can update your tablet that way on tab s7 as much as you want.
in my opinion I don’t get why you pick iPad Pro over tab s7 As an android user.. (if you really are) you had a minor reason, every device has up and down and I guess ipad was one of them
And your phone was really old anyway, you should’ve upgrade the feature-rich galaxy series but NOPE buying the lastest iPhone and then goes like WOW THE PERFORMANCE ARE AMAZING even though the snapdragon 865+ can actually match apple processors, sure it wasn’t the fastest but it till can be useable than that galaxy s7 piece of junk, so yeah what’s left on the tab s7 is optimisation and more Pro apps, how to solve that problem? Simple:
      1. As android tablet gets even better and hopefully, a lot more popular. (I’m looking at you tab s7) the app developer can easily optimised it only because galaxy tab series was the only android tablet who till has google services soo.. bye-bye Huawei!
      2. if you remember that Samsung paid clipstudio and other 2 app to support android, if that was the only thing it takes to get these pro app in android, so it will be..

I bought an ipad air 4...regret it.
Yes its powerful but everything is more annoying.
You want to paste a copied bit of text into the browser...doesnt give you the option on some boxes. Tested same boxes on android device and it works fine.
You want to swipe up to go to home...takes 2 or 3 attempts for some reason cos it can't decide what it thinks youre actually doing.
The android devices handle the gesture with more deliberate results.
Swiping back half the time just tries moving the page youre on and the finger print unlock stops working everyday, have to insert pin to refresh it.
There's no 'close all' option on tabs, the browser refuses to save the correct details, apples icloud is only 5GB free while Google drive is 15GB free. I have to swipe down the notification tray to see the time.
This is a small lost of issues I have that make things I'm used to doing on android take longer or harder.
May trade it in for the tab s7

The only reason people are choosing 11-12” tablets over 12-13” tablets is because of the lower price and some techtubers saying that the 11” Pro is more compact, lightweight and easier to carry. I was convinced at first that the 11” was the best choice too, but then I’ve held the 12.9” iPad Pro in my hands asnd I FELL in love. It’s amazing to hold such a big display that is as thin as the iPad Pro’s thickness, and you just have a massive canvas to work with. I have the 10.5” iPad Pro but my next iPad will be a 12.9”.

@@utubekullanicisi I only use the tablet for art and multimedia consumption. Once clip studio was brought over to the Tab S7 it was a no brainer for me. Better aspect ratio for gaming and movies, a better file management system, Samsung Dex, and it actually matches 16:9 aspect ratio screens when you do display out, unlike the Ipad. Also, the bezels seem just as thin if you ask me.

    • @utubekullanicisi
      @utubekullanicisi Před 3 lety

@@Overtorange I’m not talking about the Tab S7’s bezels, I’m talking about the 12.9” iPad Pros bezels. Because the 12.9” iPad Pro has the same sized bezels as the 11” iPad Pro but also has a larger screen, it has a bigger screen to body ratio, which in theory should mean it’s more immersive and has a better design. That’s why I didn’t understand why you said the 11” Pro has a better design than the 12.9”. The file management system is not “better”, it just lets you access to ANdroid system files, which is something iOS or iPadOS will NEVER let you do because that would be throwing the philosophy behind iOS & iPadOS (being all about simplicity, ease of use, not being as complicated as a traditional computer) out to the garbage. I prefer iPadOS’ file management system, because neither iPadOS nor iPad itself was meant to be a “desktop replacement”. iPadOS is in the same OS category as ChromeOS. Both are not very complicated and hence both enable you to focus on your work much more (except iPadOS is better than ChromeOS in pretty much every way). And Making iPadOS’ file management just like MacOS’ file management would be a bad idea because of that. The reason the iPad Pros aspect ratio is better than the Tab S7’s aspect ratio imo is the same reason why 16:10 and 3:2 laptop displays are better than 16:9 laptop displays, and that all has to do with us not just watching movies on these devices, but also doing productivity work and tons of other things. Making the aspect ratio of the display just suitable for watching movies is only a good idea if what you’re only doing on your device is content consumption, and even then most CZcamsrs that I know of understood the importance of mobile content consumption and switched to making 18:9 aspect ratio content so there aren’t big black sidebard when watching video on your 18:9-22:9 aspect ratio smartphone. So both your 16:10 Tab S7 and a 4:3 iPad Pro will have massive black frames when consuming content either way.

Also the 120hz critique is not quite fair in my opinion. I was currently looking for a tablet to study with.
For me personally, it is extremly important that you are abld to take good hand-wroiten notes with your tablet. The reason I chose the 11 inch ipad pro model was simply the many softwares, such as goodnotes or notability, it brings with it.
For sure there are also great habdwriting notes on the tab s 7, like the samsung notes app or one note.
But after watching a LOT of youtube videos dealing with this topic, I concluded that with the tab s 7 you get a more snartphone-likd experience (sure, it has the "dex" feature on it, but i'm searching for a TABLET and not a laptop replacement)
In my opinion the ipad pro is way overpriced, but because if the great apps espacially developed for ipasOS only, it is the best device you can gdt on the market right now if you want to use it for school.
I highly recommemd to wait buyibg an ipad if your looking foward to, because in a few days (maybe weeks) the new ipad air 4 gets released, which has nearly all the features and the great design of the pro.
So if you dont care about the 120hz refreshrate on the pro, i would definitley go fof that one, because it costs 200 dollars less.
But if you decide thst you need to get a pro, keep in mind that there are rumours about apple releasing a new pro model at the end of this year (and also, in a less than 2 months you can safe a lot of money on the cyber monday and Black friday)

It's the same old discussion all the time though. Samsung's tablet is nice, the hardware is fine. But in the end, I returned mine because it doesn't have the same level of optimized apps for tablets in the Android eco system. For example, just checking the weather, the ap would show daily details in landscape, but then force back to portrait for the summary pages. It just gets real old real fast

I’m loving my 2018(2019?) iPad Pro even more now that my 2013 15” MBP finally broke on me, possibly a bad keyboard, it’s stuck on caps locked and running slow. I’ve been using the iPad Pro exclusively for the last couple weeks and really learning how to use it. I do photography and would use it to edit my photos mostly, but now it’s my main machine and I’m liking it. I’ve been holding off on getting a new Mac because ARM, but now I may not get a Mac, or at least not a top of the line MacBook Pro, since the most intensive tasks I do are photo editing in Lightroom and the occasional photoshop. I do wish my iPad had more storage sometimes, 64gb is sometimes not enough, but thanks to Adobe cloud, I make do, I can access my whole photo library from my iPad.
I’ll never switch back to Windows, or switch to Android on mobile. Airdrop, handoff, iMessage, it’s all just too good to leave for anything less.

Too bad you say never. Fan boyism isn't good for you. Samsung tabs may not be completely ready to challenge iPad, but a couple more generations and they will be there. It's not even that the iPad is better so much as its the app DEVELOPERS. Not Android itself. Developers don't take better advantage of this platform, that used by 80% of the world. Shoulder shrug. Eventually the development community will come around with better apps if Samsung keeps building beasts like this. This tab s7 has converted many iPad users including myself.

Charles Davis yes I’ll say NEVER, not because I’m some fanboy. My first computer was a Mac, but I’ve used Windows from 3.x all the way till Windows XP. Built my own PCs for years. Finally got fed up with Windows and took a look at Mac again after about 10 years of Windows. By this time Steve Jobs was back at Apple and I was so impressed with Mac OS, I made the switch back to Apple when the first Mac Mini came out and never looked back. Bought my first iPod Photo around this time too. With the Kenwood iPod interface, I said goodbye to CDs for good. When the first iPhone came along, it worked flawlessly with my stereo just like an iPod. The integration with apple products has been leaps better than what android/windows has been able to deliver or not. They’re not perfect by any means, but for my needs, has been more than adequate. Can’t say the same for Android/Windows

Charles Davis - Man, stop trying to change the opinion of a guy that clearly knows what he's talking about while you don't!
When it comes to tablets, software companies don't care to make good tablet versions of their applications since iPads dominate the tablet market, therefore Android tablets sucks really hard for the time being and are really NOT usable for many professionals!
The guys is obviously related to the photography business and iPads serves photographers perfectly well. Android tablet on the other hand are REALLY bad for his purpose.

True. The hardware battle is negligible since both are great on their own but the software is really the deal breaker here. From a creative person's standpoint, Android doesn't have apps for Graphic Design like Affinity apps and even Adobe apps, and Video and audio editing (Luma Fusion and Garage Band). For drawing they have apps like Autodesk Sketchbook and Artflow and a lot more which IMO are good but I think Procreate really tops them all for the features it has. Clip Studio is on Samsung only. I think if those apps mentioned will come to Android, I think they'll be Samsung exclusive since they're pretty much the only one making Android tablets right now but that will still depend since I think sales are one reason why some don't come to Android?

I've used the tab s4 (10") for school. So what I mention will be the same except the S7/+ I imagine will do things faster and on a larger screen.
I have the Microsoft full suite with OneDrive which I sync with my computer at home seamlessly. I edit anything within the office suite without any issues. So, in short, yes you get/use the full version.
Other than that, because Microsoft joined with Android for the Duo, they're working on improvements together (but I've had my s4 since last spring so all office suite apps have worked Fine regardless.) So I imagine they'll be nicer updates later if you really enjoy the Microsoft office suite. My office apps came pre-installed.
Just note, IF you're studying Japanese, as I was (I've graduated but still study it) some fonts might not work. I have the Japanese version of Word for the typesetting and docs made in that version don't transfer exactly to my tab s4 so that one isn't very functional. But when I create/ copy over Japanese text into docs with English as my default language I have zero issues. There's probably a way to make it work but I'm not gonna figure that out at the moment.
The tab s4/ Android also has a great file management system. I've made scans of textbooks pages from my school's library that I've saved onto a micro SD card (that inserts into a USB) and was able to easily move documents from computer to tabs s4 or my Note 9. Couple that with OneDrive or Google Drive and you have Free cloud services at your disposal and can work in a pinch for sharing files between classmates/ project partners. Files on the tab s4 are easy to find, move and label.
If you have a school email account you might get the full office suite for free so it's something to look into if you haven't.
Fyi, since I didn't want to pack too much nor spend a bunch of money on a cramped keyboard (my s4 is 10 ") I purchased a full sized folding keyboard for about $45. This allowed me to just use my tablet as is whenever and use the keyboard as needed. I could also connect a Bluetooth mouse to my tablet and effectively have 3 Bluetooth devices working at the same time (I used bt headphones).
Oh and for productivity, I really recommend a larger screen. Before the s4 I had Samsung's tab pro 12.2 and that allowed me to have my pdf textbook open with my notepad open side to side without feeling cramped. Plus if needed, I could use pop ups for apps like a dictionary or Google to reference without moving away from my work. The 11 might still be good for you. My 10's a nice reading and drawing size but I really was spoiled by my 12.2. So if you really wanna get stuff done and not feel hindered and can afford it I'd go with the s7+. But I bet the extra inch with the 11 will be pretty useful.
I have on occasion hooked up my tablet to my 41" TV so that I could use more windows to get work done while my computer at home was being used by other people in my family. So that might be useful (I don't know how large your spreadsheets will be.
      I hope this helps!
