    I have to say I'm impressed. I am a licensed Cosmetologist in TX and about a year or two ago, I found out men have this option for hair as well. I am sure there are men out there that feel the way alot of women feel about their hair. I hate people have to go through this but so glad there is an option to make you feel better. The hair looks really good and I am glad you did the video for others to help them through a time like this!

    I tried this technique for reattachment myself, but found it easier to attach the tape to the actual underside of the lace system. For me it seemed to make the placement more accurate for the tape. It also meant I could attach the tape on the rear of the system without the help of any one else.
    That said, im a huge fan of your channel and am considering ordering my next system from you.

    Yesterday cutting the grass and sweating my hair system started to lift in the front so I took a shower and took the whole system out to make my first re-attachment, yes I did it with the help of my wife but she put some glue on my normal hair in one of the sides and it was a mess when I attached it as I was using 100% glue, so just like you said I had to re-do it again and yes I became very irritated lol. So this time I went with your attachment method, tape on the sides and back and glue in the front, very easy to attach it like that, did it myself with no help. I have a little wrinkle in the top middle as I think I didn't stretch it enough but I am the only one that knows it's there so no issue. Also it makes a little like plastic noise when I touch the hollow part in the top but again that's me and for now, nobody touch my hair like that and even like that I don't think somebody will notice. A little glue in the front line but I removed it just like you with no issues. Everything went good your way, the little issues, I guess it will be better with practice. Thanks a lot Curt.

    • @HairExperience
      @HairExperience  Před 6 lety +3

      Yes sir!!! that plastic sound, you must have a poly system. Thats normal. The tape on the sides is so much easier to do and easier to clean up!!

    • @vapeilandreviews6319
      @vapeilandreviews6319 Před 6 lety

      I have a question... since that attachment method have tape in the sides, in the back and glue in the front. If I wash my hair or get water on it, the part in the middle could fill up with water as it don't have glue or tape and is hollow? Yes it's a thin poly system.

    Wow looks so great! Appreciate you sharing this experience. I have a question. Once you get a piece I imagine you’d go to a stylist to have them cut it to the style you like, then how do you maintain your natural surrounding hair? Is it something I can go to different barbers or hair stylists that they can work with it once the original piece is styled? And you’re saying you change the hair piece every 4 months for a new piece? Or just change to refresh and clean the glue and add new adhesive? This is so fascinating and very exciting to learn about!

    Hi, the system should only stick on the shaved area of your head and the base material should not overlap and be stuck
    on to your own hair right?
    Also the poly base material should allow the colour of your skin through, i.e. be pretty undetectable?

    Hey Curtis, Can we use Ultra hold glue on a lace system? I am using tape currently, but am not satisfied with the results.

  • @vapeilandreviews6319
    @vapeilandreviews6319 Před 6 lety

    As I thought a poly system as it don't have pores to make your scalp breath will make a bubble in the middle if you use the method with tape in the sides, back and glue in the front, the middle part will be hollow so when you take a shower or sweat it will retain the water in the middle as it can't escape, that happened to me, so I had to de-attach a little part in the back to let the water go. Next time I will leave a little space between tapes in the back just like a little open canal to let the water or sweat get out. That won't happen with a lace system.

    Curious, are you using Remi or European hair? What are the specs? Density, degree of curl? In the past, Toplace free style system could not part evenly due to inconsistent density. Has that improved? Your degree of curl is good as it matches mine. I know there is a number chart for degree of curl that factories use but most places retailing pieces do not offer that spec, rather, they use straight, slight wave, wavy and etc. I appreciate the response.

    I wouldn't mind doing this but how much maintenance is involved? How workout/sweat friendly is it? If I could do it once a month and get by it'd be okay but if its a bi-weekly thing then I'll just keep rocking the buzz.

    Hey Hello Curtis, I just received my hair system from TopLace.com I haven't set it yet, received it 1 hour ago but one thing I saw it's that they are a bit curly. I ordered the stock unit they have like you did. But yours are straight. U think after I brush them and wash them they will be more straight?

    Hey Curtis, quick question, when you reapply you're hair piece I understand that you shave your head prior, the issue is with the alcohol, does it not burn/irritate your head after your shave? When I experience this with a beard shave I use moisturising cream to soothe the burn but you don't really want to do that...what's your opinion on this?

      Yes thanks for these videos, maybe we need some role models to start wearing their artificial hair (we need a better, sexier name for it too!) proudly before we stop this ridiculous denial. Everybody loses hair, they should wear it if they want to as we do with so many other items we ware to enhance our looks and presentation. I know too many (specially young men) who are devastated by this yet no one wants to acknowledge that is not losing the hair, rather boxing people into few options to deal with it, that is causing all the helplessness!

    Hi Curtis! You know I got a real problem when putting on the Hairsystem with the front whilst using Ghostbond platinum. I got a Swiss Lace and do the installation like yourself with tape on the sides and the back whilst using glue for the front as it looks much realer than using the tape for the front.
    But the problem is when putting on the glue and pushing down the hairsystem many of the front hairline hairs get stuck in the glue everytime

      HairExperience 👍 Thanks for your quick response Curtis! That’s to show that you are in this to genuinely help us out and that has not to be taken for certain in this business. Your the best guy in this Hairsystem game because the way of explaining it to guys so they can follow it, and also the way you give your advice on the matter and being honest about what works and what doesn’t work because you have experienced it and you try to make guys prevent doing the same mistakes you did, and maybe you’re easy to relate to as you come across just like one of the guys aswell. I appreciate your work and as I have studied male and female psychology, body language decoding and the subconscious mind.,..
      I am good at judging people and reading them and even if I have not met you in person, I’m getting the sense that you are an honest, confident, reliable, straight forward, speaking his mind, strong willed, trustworthy, open, positive minded, thankful, humorous, stubborn, harsh and direct if need be, down to earth, and maybe a little bit a ladies man a charmer, with a strong sense of self and not really caring about what other people say about you still you will follow through with whatever it is your doing also if everybody else tells you that’s a bad idea including your family and friends. So I am just joking here Curtis! 😝 (but am I right?)
      But still respect for the effort and the time you put into this. So from now on its gonna be „Hair - by- the Boss-and that’s- MHE“
      So order now ya heard!
      Maybe I am gonna be in Miami next spring so if you are near by and got time ... i will rent us 2 Lamborghinis for us and we will take our brand new hairsystems by MHE (you‘ll have to hook me up😜) for a Spinn on Ocean Drive in our drop top lambos!
      So till then keep up the good work my man Curtis!

Let me know if you understand what I mean.
