Just to reiterate: Saturation in coconut oil revitalizes the hair and makes the old glue and tape fall away with no scrubbing or intense cleaning. It definitely adds to the life of the unit, based on damage and hair loss by cleaning. It also keeps the unit from drying out so severely from the "time" element. Towards the end, I use a bit of dye to bring the pigment back, but I use a hat in the sun, so I don't lose a lot of pigment. The only downside to coconut oil, is you have to wash and let it dry twice to get the oil out. I've only ever had a lace product. I usually do my last installation wash with conditioner, so I am very liberal with gentle alcohol wipe-downs on the adhesive side of the unit. I'm very happy with the lace units. I'm wearing my current unit starting on my twelve month, and it is still looking good. It's time, though. The adhesiveness lasts about 16 days, with a hairline clean-up half way through. My hairline is partially exposed.
I am looking forward to my poly units now.
    Thanx Curtis.

    Hi Curtis,
Just to check, is it okay to add your bond/adhesive directly to the poly base (hairline and sides)? I know you can’t with lace, but is that okay with poly?
As the biggest issue I have is not getting the bond position right on my head and the hair sticks to my forehead and I can’t clean it, so I’d rather put the adhesive straight onto the poly base and hairline itself?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great video and information as usual Curtis. On the subject on hand, I have used both and I prefer the Poly, simply because I don't have to be so careful to tear it if I'm in a hurry and to me is easier to clean. I do use one coat of bond with my Poly and it works beautifully, and I tend to use the system for about 3 to 4 months. However, I'm truly excited since I ordered a hair system from you, although I'm aware that I'll have to wait a bit longer to receive it due to the situation we are all going through, but I'm looking forward to it. Hey Curtis, so I think I'm ready to go for it, first timer here. I got a few question, please help me choose :P. I don't care about hairline, I like wearing my hair down with bangs. I want 3-4 months out of a system, and COMFORT and EASY MAINTANENCE, aka easy cleaning. I was going to choose lace but I don't like the idea of cleaning lace, sounds hard. Also I'm worried of itchyness and I'd imagine lace would be itchier than a smooth skin base, as my bio hair would grow up into the lace net. I'm leaning towards a thin skin poly type, wanna use tape only, accept maybe glue for the hairline. I just don't wanna feel like I'm wearing a swimmers cap on a hot day. LAST big point, I ride a motorcycle so I spend a lot of time in a helmet. For that reason only I thought I would really HAVE TO go with lace for the sweat factor. What is your professional advice? Thanks lol

I work out and sweat a lot, I wear a poly and I can feel the sweat moving through my head trying to find a way out. What I did is I left a bit of space in between the tape so that sweat can get out, it seems to be working.

i dunno.. to me a good lace unit looks the best even with the knots. They use half knots in the front you can't even see them on a good quality system.. The V loop looks more like doll hair to me. Plus the line the skin makes because of the way it reflects different light to me looks more visible than a lace system. A super fine swiss lace hairline to me is the best.
