For this model terminal a SIM card is not necessary. Since you are getting that error message you will need to call your processor to troubleshoot. If you don't get the service you need, please call our office so I can get you an operational terminal and superb customer service. 1-903-939-1919.

If you switch from telephone to ethernet - does the machine need to be reconfigured? or does it automatically sense which is connected and either dial or connect via intenet?

Normally, it will pick up the Ethernet automatically. However, if it doesn't, you will have to configure the terminal. You will need to call your processor to have them assist. If your current processor doesn't help you, please call my office, we'd love to have you on board with us!

Typically it will automatically look for the Ethernet. However, if it doesn't call your processor so they can adjust the settings in the terminal. If you don't have luck with your processor, call our team at MPS, we would love to have you as a client.

thanks. We tried just switching, and it did put the ETH on the screen, however, it still continued to try to dial out using the phone. We called the processor, and they said we will need to download an update. We looked for a configuration type menu - and didn't find one - so will wait to we get back to them for the update. Thanks for the response.

In order for a sale to get an approval, yes you must have a connection. You also need the connection for your batch/settlement at the end of the day.

I have been on the phone 3 times in the past week trying to set up the machine thru the ethernet . I might mentioned each time waiting over an hour to get thru. I have checked the ethernet and it works to the machine. They will give me a new machine to try in case mine is bad. They will do this for a$55.00 up charge to be deducted from my account. May have to find another server.
