I was there (I was actually the guy that brought the book up to the stage) and yeah, he really is a nice guy. He has a stage persona that he does at conventions and in interviews and stuff. I met him in the autograph line and he does really like his fans and seems to enjoy meeting them. He just loves messing with fans. In fact, I told him I was an aspiring filmmaker and he totally just lit up and even gave me advice.
I am very glad to know that he does in fact care about his fans because honestly he acts likes a total dick sometimes in his QnA sessions so that makes me feel better. What advice did he give you about film making?

He's said before (can't remember what interview it was in) that he loves being a cult horror star because fans of cult movies are always so loyal and enthusiastic.
He didnt seem serious about AoD2. And the audience didnt exactly go nuts when they heard him say "the answer is yes." Yet the internet has lit up light a xmas tree. Weird.
