Filmer hij komt ook bijzonder sympathiek over
Baresi en heel Milaan had sowieso al alle respect van de wereld voor 1 man genaamd Frenk. Die samen met hun ook al een goed aantal prijzen had gerealiseerd. En tot aan die wedstrijd hadden ze ook al 2x een lesje gekregen van AJAX in effectief voetbal. Zodat hij en de rest van het team niet meer dan alleen maar respect kunnen tonen naar Frenk en AJAX.

You have good taste my friend! I was 14 when this team played. Litmanen was and always will be my favourite number 10 alongside Bergkamp who actually left this team the season before. Like Bergkamp this man was and still is a class act, not just on but off the field as well.

My parents got cable tv in order for us to watch World Cup '94. At the time, ESPN was trying to acquire the rights for different sports leagues and one of the leagues they acquired, was the Eredivisie. So after elementary school, I would run home and turn on ESPN and watch Ajax. Even though Im from the USA, I was an Ajax fan growing up. Oh and I still have the same Ajax 95 jersey top in my closet.

I was 12-13 years old when this team came to play a friendly match against our local amateur club. Must have been 1995/1996. They obliterated our club with 11-1.

What a fantastic story. Ajax. It will never be done again. Louis Van Gall deserves so much credit for bringing these players through the academy.. He was a tactical genius. Imagine beating the legendary AC Milan in the final. Fabio Capello was a top manager aswell...

As though what he did with Ajax, Barcelona, Alkmaar and Bayern before that did not matter anymore. Players like Xavi, Puyol and Thomas Muller owe their careers to van Gaal, we're talking here about World Cup and Champions League winners.

The last great upset in Champions League. I'm from Bulgaria and a FC Barcelona fan since 1993, due to Stoichkov and Johan Cruijff. I was 9 back in 1995 and instantly became a fan of the club, it featured many of my favorite players ever and to this day I still root for Ajax.

Ich erinnere mich afc Ajax hatte in der Saison 1994-95 in der Champions League allen Gegnern ihre Grenzen aufgezwungen.Und zurecht verdient die Champions-League gewonnen. Ich hoffe es gibt bald wieder so eine Ajax Mannschaft,wie von 1992-96.
Van Gaal und Cruyff waren prägende Figuren für die Niederlande. Erik Ten Hag hat Ajax letzte Saison wieder auf die große Fußballbühne gebracht. Das lag neben der typischen total voetbal Philosophie auch am Scouting und der Nachwuchsabteilung. Mit Geduld und Akribie könnte an damalige Erfolge angeknüpft werden.

When Kluivert scores that winning goal, how many people actually realise they are watching a moment of history? The last time a team made mostly of homegrown players would win a Champions League title (nowadays, if Barcelona or Bayern win with 3 homegrown players, it is a big deal!). After that, UEFA and EU ensured the bigger and richer leagues got a monopoly on this competition - it did not happen by accident, it was planned all the way by Lennart Johansson.
There is no idealism left in football anymore and those images of 1995 are something we've got to hold on to forever.

Porto had 9 when they won in 2004, it was still possible then as well...it was Silvio Berlusconi who really changed things when he demanded that the Champions League should have Groups instead of a knockout format. That was after Napoli lost to Real Madrid in the first round and Berlusconi thought it was terrible that the champions of Serie A could be out of European competition in the middle of September.
Also the Bosman-arrest (altough a good thing in general) gave the teams from the big leagues an huge advantage. Especially for Ajax it was a terrible timing as their whole team basically left the club for free in the year after wining the Champions League.

Man, de tijd van mijn leven was dat. Alle wedstrijden bezocht, en de uitwedstrijden in de kroeg in Amsterdam gekeken, de finale ook. Maatje zijn oma woonde langs een van de grachten bij Leidseplein dus daar bleven we slapen. Perfect gewoon. Ik was 21 toen, perfecte leeftijd om zoiets mee te maken! Dit is waar voetbal om draait....memories! De beste zijn met voetbal waar nog steeds over wordt gepraat.

Ik herinner me dit nog als de dag van gisteren. Elke wedstrijd van dit Ajax was smullen geblazen. Jammer dat het in 2019 niet lukte tegen de Spurs , maar wat een elftal en talenten heft Ajax nu weer. Heerlijk!!!

One day I went to a training of Ajax at De Meer. It was this team that I watched at the training. I am almost certain this was the best team Ajax ever had.

It's surreal to reminisce on how popular Ajax was at the time, a craze only paralelled by the best runs of our national squads. I remember our school getting ready for a boat trip in may 1995 and the whole boatterminal with hundreds of kids all of a sudden singing "AJAAAX IS CHAMPION!!". For a kid far away from Amsterdam it was hard to not fall for the charm of it all, the succes and the spectacular playingstyle.

Kippenvel als ik dit weer zie! Wat een team! Elke positie een topper en als team klopte het perfect. En die avondwedstrijden in het Olympisch, het was een grote pispak voor de renovatie maar Magisch! Mooie tijden, heerlijk om terug te zien.

Ik was 8 toen ik Ajax zo goed zag spelen in CL. Die wedstrijden mocht ik gelukkig zien. Louis heb altijd gelijk gehad. Van de Sar veel gevallen maar verdiend samen met Overmars de credits. Hoop op nog een finale!! Maar dit is al klasse!

Ajax jersey is very difficult to find in my country. I bought mine in late 2006 when I was visiting Malaysia 🇲🇾 then a while later bought another in Jakarta.
Ben nou 65 maar nog steeds een groot kind . Jammer dan . MAAR Ajax heeft me echt honderden , niet eens overdreven , geweldige momenten als deze en tientallen trein en busreizen waar maar zeer zelden een slecht resultaat werd betreurd of vervloekt . Maarre ........ ik lust er nog best een paar zo .
Zo'n mooie tijd. De 5-2 tegen Munchen en dan de finale, die ik met de GJV van Nieuw-Vennep tijdens een barbecue op een erf van een boerderij in Abbenes bekeken, en dan het enorme feest op het museumplein daarna. Bij het zien van deze documentaire komen al die herinneringen terug. Het jaar erna, met de finale in Rome tegen Juve was ik bij de wedstrijd, en ook daar zijn de herinneringen nog steeds heel helder. Die jaren zal ik echt van m'n leven niet vergeten, en bij een documentaire als deze, of de AT5 video van de wereldbeker van 1995, komen ook de tranen zeker. De laatste jaren gaat het weer goed met Ajax, en hoewel nog steeds teveel spelers kiezen om te vertrekken, heb ik er vertrouwen in dat successen als in die jaren weer op komst zijn.
Lang genoeg geduurd de hoogste tijd weer die beker naar Amsterdam te halen WZAWZDB ! BAM BAM champions league winst 🥇 🏆 21/22 💥
