I kinda disagree on Jaye being a "coworker". He makes you finballs based entirely on his memory (which he claims is really good), he offers to take you to a Lungmen street market at night despite it being dangerous... I may be biased here, but I'd definitely put Jaye among the homies.

SA seems like he IS a homie. In his last line where he says he will have to fight u one day, he sounds HAPPY and says u will be a formidable opponent for sure. And he says that he wants to make the most out of his time of service with you.
I think hes like the comrade that in the end of the movie, fight against the MC, but without evilness, just for honor, and his last wish its to be with u in his last seconds.

He actually has a dialogue where he talks with you about Neon. She is literally the closest person to him, he wouldn't share such feelings with every single person. So yeah, he has sympathy for Doc, and there is a chance to befriend him.
I believe that Jaye should totally go in the homie section, I mean he asks if you wanna tour downtown lungmen with him some day as well as asks you what you want for dinner. Jaye number 1 husbando

TBH silverash is more a weird but still homie from the fact that the archive files say that he sees doktah as a rival and that in his lines as assistant he keeps cheering you up even though you outright refuse him in most cases and calls you his friend in many of his lines

Whenever Hung calls the doctor in Japanese, he refers to you as “だんな” which literally means “husband” and in his voice lines, he’ll often ask if you’ve eaten or offer to help you in some way, so if that doesn’t scream “doting husband” idk what does
I honestly see SA as more of that Rival. Or the Sasuke to us. He is definitely a friend but he knows we will fight eventually. But aye Noir is our homie so I'm happy. I never realized how many Male Rhodes Islands there are in the game, I mostly assumed 10 at total but didn't think others existed.

I do like that unlike some other Gatcha games, Dokutah is not some harem protagonist whom everyone loves for no reason. Characters having different opinions of Dokutah actually fledge the MC as a character, while still having a blank space for the player.
Dokutah is also incredibly overworked with shitton of things to take care of, so you wouldn't expect someone like that to be constantly socializing.
Something to note about Chiave is his token flavour text, because yes, I checked. He has a set of medallions with the names of everyone he as deemed "in the Chiave Gang," and it states that one of those names "is you." Real homie behaviour if you ask me.
