    9:34 why didn’t you use super smoke at the lower temperature?

    • @ChefJasonMorse
      @ChefJasonMorse Před rokem

      Hi Alonzo, not everyone has a Traeger with super smoke so I kept it easier for everyone all around. Super smoke would add a nice punch of flavor for sure. Thanks for watching, Chef Jason

    Nice. I'll be doing this one. I'd like to see lobster tails on a Traeger.

    The automatic donning and shedding of the gloves is inspiring. Not a moment of thought given to it.

    Why not just use thin sliced bacon? Just a thought!! 🙄🙄

    • @ChefJasonMorse
      @ChefJasonMorse Před rokem +1

      Hi Tim, the thin sliced bacon will turn into wafer thin after the rolling pin, the thick cut still keep some thickness after the rolling and produces more flavor in my opinion. Happy Cooking, Chef Jason

    • @ChefJasonMorse
      @ChefJasonMorse Před 3 lety

      Gary, which Traeger model do you have? Im also starting mine off with low temp smoke too, higher temp cooking won have this much smoke. Chef Jason

    Where's the recipe?

  • @erikmaddalena1690

    Cook with the bacon from the start you rookie

    • @ledzep244
      @ledzep244 Před 4 lety +2

      I think the idea is that the bacon acts like a protection from smoke penetration, so by smoking without at the beginning you get a better smoke ring on the pork.

    • @ChefJasonMorse
      @ChefJasonMorse Před 4 lety +1

      Daniel Busbin you are correct. Thanks for watching

      The only thing worse than raw/ chewy bacon in rock hard/ burnt bacon... Also if you wrap anything in bacon before smoking you won’t get any smoke penetration in your meat.. Rookie
