Wow dr. Bri! After doing this exercises I noticed my pelvic floor muscles for the first time. I noticed how they gently moved with my breathing, it's the first time I noticed just breathing makes something like a massage inside? A really warm and comfortable sensation. I then thought I should spend more time doing things for myself, and remembered how busy I am with my work, I remembered my boss (which is my mother in law) and I disconnected from my pelvic floor instantly. It's like it got tensed up, as if my body froze and went in fear. I think I spend a lot of time in that state. Thank you SO MUCH for making me discover something about how my body works ❤️❤️❤️ I'm really, really grateful.

quick note - when doing pelvic arch up on hands it was counter productive for me to push air out of lungs on arching back up. It was pushing down on prolapse. For me its better to do it the opposite - to suck in on upper arch and expel air on downward arch. Everything else perfect!

Having fun playing catch up, I’ve just done two days back to back and I’m fired up. Love these short bursts of PV focused exercises, 10 mins is a great length with little people running around. Thank you Bri x

Any info on how to feel and check that one is doing these correctly, without recruiting thighs, glutes or ending up cramping abdominal muscles to do thos would help a lot of folks. Maybe show other visuals-don’t know. For some, it’s not so easy to feel (as I think you pointed out), and it can be easy to do some harm (like cause bladder spasm). Thanks if you can teach some pointers others don’t 🙏

Still struggling to not use butt and thigh muscles when doing my kegels. I really feel nothing at all when not using them and then I relax these muscles but then back to feeling nothing. Is this normal? I’m on my second round of PFT with a new therapist this time and I still don’t see any progress. This is so frustrating I keep telling her I’m not doing them correctly but she keeps saying to just keep doing them 3x a day and it will get better. Any suggestions on really weak muscles? I’m on days 4 and I will stick with you as I hope to improve.
