    Thank you very much. I am deciding whether to use this ferry option or driving (from Alicante) all the way to Calais when I move back permanently to the UK. I think the shorter drive and less need for overnight accommodation in a hotel makes this slightly preferable. The cost of fuel is I suppose another thing in the ferry's favour.

      @@stevedriver1376 Hi there Steve. I chose the Bilbao ferry and travelled last Tuesday to Wednesday. Smooth crossing but very bad night's sleep in a reclining chair. I got lucky though with disembark stage because I was three cars from the front exit gate. Good luck with your journey.

      @@stevedriver1376 Yes, I'm back and looking for another permanent home. Ironically, I much preferred the greenery of Bilbao and northern Spain generally to the built up, tourist area of Orihuela Costa where I chose to live. Lots of British people are there and loving it, but unfortunately it didn't appeal to me and proved a costly mistake. But don't let me put you off, we're all different.

      @@stevedriver1376 With the timings, bear in mind the time difference. As soon as I boarded they referred to UK time, which was confusing for my GPS watch, tuned to CET. It is incredibly slow whatever way you look at it.

    Rlly wish that they had ferries like this across The Great Lakes Region of the U.S. and Canada, and also from Florida N Georgia to Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin islands as well, all that would be cool and nice.

    Hi there, do you know how early can you book ticket to travel next July 2020? Many thanks Ricky

    • @MotorHomeMan
      @MotorHomeMan  Před 5 lety

      Ricky’s Garage I think you can book a year ahead but will have to pay full price, maybe 6 months would be better, a lot of people just book 24 hrs before and chance it!
      Booking through the Caravan and Motorhome club can be good and might be discounted, it’s always best to shop around for latest best prices!

    Great video as always mate but can I ask why you don't have any solar panels fitted on the roof of your MH...

      Thanks for your comment Mark, haven’t looked into Solar yet, what do you think, is it a good investment?

      @thenoworriesnomad Před 5 lety +1

      MotorHomeMan.. Well I like to wild camp a lot so it’s good for me but if you always use sires with EHU you wouldn’t get ur monies worth, if you do though get the biggest panel you can fit and afford up there, maybe a 200watt one...
