Anytime I see these type of fpv drones where you're not using those expensive fat sharks or dji top gun goggles you get that nostalgic 90s film grain feel and look and it's an amazing blast from thr past. I would love a 4k top gun dji goggles or fat sharks but man are they expensive experience I've never owned a drone so I'm thinking about getting something like this.
You don't need digital equipment unless you are heavily invested in the hobby. I've been using analog box style goggles for years with several quadcopters and I actually prefer them because they are more immersive with a larger image.
@@mikeb1596 so imaging POV is smaller on digital and bigger on analog?
@Wavy Vaporizers no. No clue what that guy is talking about but digital quality is objectively better. Analog is cheaper and it works just fine but look up digital goggles. It looks like you're looking through a go pro. It's amazing quality and the immersion is great. That other guy is either crazy or lying or hasn't tried digital or hasn't seen digital footage yet.
Agai , Analog is fine but yeah.
analog gives you faster feed and you can pop a gopro or a instago 360 on there if you want to record your flights
isn't 150 grams a lot of weight for that?@@voidzy5605
Got this for my daughter for Christmas
I need it. I found a new hobby
Wow really good flying. Flying slowly in a small space is still difficult for me, even in the simulator. So far I don't dare to do that with my Cetus X....
Can you help me? I have a question about which is better. Cetus Pro or Cetus X. They both seem good it is just hard to choose which one to get
Cetus X seems better to upgrade and become much better for flying before you have to upgrade.
Thank you. I'm thinking into going to FPV
I want to get this for my first drone but I feel like it would get blown around outside alot
It's actually relatovely heavy and flies really well outside. Unless you live somewhere that is just constantly windy, you should be fine
Thanks for the review! A question, I have the Cetus Pro set, can I just buy the Cetus X quad by itself and then bind it with my existing remote and goggles?
No cause the controller that came with your cetus pro is frsky d8 and not elrs, the goggles will work tho
Low Battery warning is pretty obnoxious. Is that adjustable?
yes you can adjust the OSD elements!
Are the camera/vid on the X upgradeable? Also notice this kit comes in Cetus FC and Betaflight FC. What are the pros/cons of each?
i dont think you can upgrade the camera that you see through the goggles but i know you can put either a naked go pro or a insta go 360 on there if you want to but the are quite expensive
The cetus fc has the optical flow camera at the bottom but the betaflight fc doesnt
I bought the Cetus pro with the old controller and goggles but then lost it in someone’s backyard. Support told me I have to get the Frsky D8 version of the Cetus X for the Cetus pro controller and goggles to work with the Cetus X (the X is the same price as Cetus pro when you buy it separately). Switch d on pro controls turtle mode and C controls speed, but my understanding is that on X Switch D controls the beeper and switch C controls turtle mode. The old controller has a three way switch for switch C, does this mean I won’t be able to use the beeper or turtle mode functions unless I buy the new controller? Thanks for posting.
Were the Tx and Rx already bound? Did you have to do any ELRS board flashing? Thanks
TX and RX are bound out of the box 👍
Would I be able to use my TS16X Max mk II which has built in ELRS with this drone or would I have to use their controller?
you should be able to use the it as long as its 2.4ghz ELRS!
Would you recommend this more than the Tinyhawk 3? Trying to figure out which one to get for Christmas.
Unfortunately I haven't tried out the tinyhawk 3 yet, both look very similar. I really like the fact that the screen pops off on the tinyhawk goggles. However I really like the controller that was included in this kit. And I've been consistently impressed with the Cetus's durability.
Also, you can mount a runcam thumb pro to the Cetus X if you want stabilized 4K footage 👍 I'll have a video coming out on that in the next few days!
Do you know where I can get a replacement camera on Amazon.
is the recorded video which you have shown us on the screen the same as the one you're seeing while you're wearing the goggles ?
Yeah it is
@@16s_3no its not if you look at other videos that show the actual screen when its connected it doesnt break like it does in the recordings its a normal screen so when its getting recorded its breaking because it “ cant handle “ the distance even tho it can with some tweaks
Does it only have 2 minutes of flight time
i have this drone but cant get it to pair with my controler any help is apriciated as i am clueless
what controller are you using?
@@TRONCATFPV jumper t pro
Are you holding the bind button on the board as you power the drone up? Also, you have to make sure your receiver protocol matches the transmitter, as there are 2 modes: d8 and d16. Do you have betaflight installed on a computer?
Thanks for the video! Will the goggles fit people wearing prescription glasses?
People have said that they don’t fit over. Captain Drone made a video on the same kit. He talks about it so go look at his!
Hello! how to turn off alignment mode in Acro mode.
Hello, thx for the video. What flight times have come out in acro flight?
3.5 mins more or less
Battery life?
Will my Fat Shark googles work with this drone? Also one other video showed a FC version, is this FC version?
this is the betaflight version
Are the remotes and the goggles interchangeable with a different type of drone models?
Yes, the radio is ELRS and the goggles are 5.8g analog
Does this work with glasses? I want to get this drone but I’m not sure if the goggles will work with my glasses.
No the goggle doesn't fit glasses but if you are myope.it's ok without glasses.
Can it connect with beta fpv radio lite 2 SE?
as long as its the version with 2.4ghz ELRS yes
Okayy thanks alot man..
Also this one is elrs so its betaflight
hello I would have wanted to know which configuration you took (FC cetus or FC betaflight)
betaflight
Is there any way to get a bigger battery for this drone?
No but you can 3d print adaptions that allow for multiple to be wired in at once (Requires some understanding of electricals though.) I just have 8 batteries and rotate them when flying and it work very well as the battery changes take less than a minute.
Would you guys advise me to get the Cetus x or the meteor75 pro?
Meteor75 all day
would it fit into a 3 inch custom carbon frame
I did that with my cetus. Lil puppy rips like I ripped my moms gina when I came out.
Can u use the lite radio 2 for cetus x?
You need a radio that runs elrs
Is the betaflight fc or cetus fc
befaflight, its better
