Pure genius mate, that's absolutely brilliant! How you dream up these fantastic vehicles is a mystery. Do you just play about in the VAB when you're designing these things, or do you start off with"pen and paper", drawing up a rough idea of how you're going to accomplish the mission before trying to build something?
It's great to get home from work on a Friday and the first thing you see is a new Shadow Zone video. This one however is one of your very very best... IMHO.
It depends, sometimes I have an idea while at work or in the shower or get inspired by real life applications or movies or books. This build was partly inspired by the fantastic movie "Moon" with Sam Rockwell. Among other things, there's a moon base to mine Helium und they send canisters back to Earth with small rockets.
But at other times I just fool around in the editor and see what happens :)

Ha, fantastic! I knew I couldn't have been the first to come up with a chamber full of science to deploy from a rover, but I definitely didn't think of storing those return craft from a base! Bravo.

A science revolver! How very Kerbal (just don't tell the crew that there's no return vehicle).
I've got a small obsession with retro-futurism, so right now I'm building a replica of the spacecraft from the 1950 film "Destination Moon". It'll be boosted into orbit by a rocket SSTO, do a trans-munar injection burn, then land on it's fins and return to Kerbin to land like a spaceplane.
I would have loved to see the building of the revolver!

You should consider doing a parallel to Danny's "Absurd Contraptions" series, because this thing would definitely warrant a place on it. Certainly useful, but weirdly designed and overall... kinda absurd.

Ok, that's is seriously cool! I was starting to wonder how you were going to reconnect the ports of the 'revolver' after you turned it around. The design of the storage unit is pretty cool with the ball like design. Kind of has a bit of a 'Lego' like feel to it. I could see a version where you just launch from the base itself as well. Great for building other ideas from.

Not really. Game footage is unedited and I chugged along on my guitar stopping for each explosion.
Took a few takes since the "boom rythm" didn't follow any known time signature.

You've inspired me to try new things (I mostly fail spent days trying to make a ferry like ur dog thing before I gave up n went simpler, issues with RCS centering, lol) and I'm always excited to see what u inspire me to try next!

HI friend, I like your videos but here from ~1:10-1:50~ you spoke about linking your video page to another info distributing these small satellites with a special apoapsis/periapsis or geometrical orbital method but I could not gather what you were doing from the random map screens or even the small objects you looked to be moving. I don't see any of the related links you mentioned? IS this meant to be the same as putting 3 satellites in triangular orbit around Kerbin? I have been able to manage that actually but I must be missing something.
