Unsurprisingly his legendary rivalry with Wayne Rainey takes centre stage as they do battle fairing-to-fairing on some of the world's best known circuits such as Spa-Francorchamps, Assen, Donington, Suzuka and Jerez.

My dad was a motorcycle fan, he entered rally as a co-pilot, then became a car mechanic for a Porsche Supercup team, he named me Kevin after this guy. I never cared too much about it but now that i've gotten a bit older, i understand why he named me after Kevin Schwantz, what a legend. Even if i mostly follow F1 and not really MotoGP, untill this year. I can fairly say he's a legend.
Motogp is real racing, in F1 they barely battle each other 😂😂 just drive behind without nothing happening, everyone is like 30 seconds away from each other.
@@Maidenintime86the comment literally nobody asked for...
Kevin , valentino and marc ,the most spectacular riders of all time in my opinion
two outstanding humans and incredible racers .
The best thing is... it was never about the money for these two guys. They were just happy to battle each other on the track. True racing legends.
我有同樣感覺
I got to ride with Schwantz at a CMRA endurance race at TWS here in Texas. Not on his team of course but I was on the track in a race with him! Super cool guy and very fast. He took the time to sign a few autographs for us as well. The man is a legend! It was a great day.
Theloonytoons, i guess its ok to envy you....
I worked at his Dad's shop there in Houston,TX back in 1980 before he got famous, although he was Always very fast...he'd come in, work a bit, go to school, ride a bike from the back shop. Was at his 18th birthday (at the shop) when we got Cake! He helped pull my butt around for about 2 miles on a tow strap hooked to the handlebars tryin' to get a customer's IT 400 to fire one day and if we had a very particular customer, we'd call on Kevin to test ride the thing for us...if he couldn't break it, neither could the customer....almost zero 'comebacks'!! : )' Really nice, down to earth guy who always had time to hang out for a bit with everyone AND as I said, VERY VERY FAST !
Gee, I feel so sorry for what happened to Wayne on the year 1993 😭...despite my all round fav was crazy Schwantz, man must admire to the Wayne Rainey's career and achievements 👏
great .. Kevin was a funny rider and great rider ..
Magnífico video...Vaya motos!
Kevin Schwantz is the Mike Tyson of motorcycle racing
My favourite biker of all time.
O grande Kevin Schwantz 34 SUZUKI Fantástico
2 legends wow kev and Wayne ❤
what a beautiful track
i remember when shwantz was given a ride on a factory gsxr 750 i think by barry sheen and he beat everyone else on works bikes , beacuse of that, Suzuki gave him a proper race RG500 , the rest was history .
Surprised you haven't had any bites with that one.
Alucinante lo qué hacían estos "dos locos maravillosos ""👏👏👏👏👏✌👍
Qué grandes... Rainey lleva la moto con un manillar super abierto!
Peak of utmost talent and sportsman: Kevin

Best for❤ ever
*Great Days*
Dave dispain in all his glory and of course a young Kevin and wayne those were the days. Real athletes, that put it all on the line. Not these silly ball players that dance and taunt by simply moving a ball 5 yards.
His technic is the revolutioner follow by Biaggi - Rossi - and new revolutioner Marquez technic sneak in narrow gap on last corner with full focus. And Marquez still the master of last corner.
No.
Kenny roberts developed that technique years earlier.
♥️♥️🔥
Kevin was more fun to watch! He was a more talented rider but Wayne had a better motorcycle AND the mentality to accept the fact that you don't have to WIN every race to be a champion. Finishing in a good position consistently produces better results (championships) than winning more but crashing out more....
lost my copy of the bike hero tape
moral is don't loan them out
yep ..or if you loan something out expect never to see it again, you feel better that way.
I know the feeling 🍀🇮🇪👍
もう二人ともバトルを楽しんでおります 👍
What bike did kevin rode in this race ?
Suzuki GS 750 (pre X). Earlier (Daytona) Pepsi bike and before that Yamaha FJ 600. After, went to Europe and Japan, Lucky Strike Suzuki RGV 500 GP bike...310 lb.s, 175 hp....light switch powerband in a 2500 r.p.m. spread way up in the revs stratosphere! Very few could even ride that let alone race it and WIN ! : 0

KS34 succeed with suzuki ..i wonder why he chose suzuki rathere than honda or yamaha . But i am fan of ks34 and suzuki . No matter what ks34 , is a greatrider .
Kevin would have never won his championship if Wayne hadn’t had his career ending accident. Wayne was the better rider. I can’t discount Kevin’s tenacity though, nobody tried harder then Kevin,he would either win or crash. If you ever met either of them they were super nice guys off the track. Those were great days in the 500cc championship.
Schwantz did things on the motorcycle that were a little beyond everyone else. Imagine if he'd raced for Honda or Yamaha.
Kevin actually admitted even if it meant losing the title he wishes that accident didn't happen with Wayne. True respect and admiration especially coming from a heated rival. Both greats and real gentlemen off the track.
I beg to differ, the Suzuki was an inferior bike, so he had to go to the limits and yes that means falling often. Wayne was amazing too. Check out Donington 1991 the braking at 20 sec czcams.com/video/voChpsUF5eU/video.html and then tell me who is the best.....
@@philippewatel4393 Kevin did Wayne wrong. He looked like he was outbraking me, not an eventual 3x champ.
It's hard to say at that time the Honda had the best motor worst chassis the Suzuki the best chassis the worst motor and the Yamaha probably had the second best of both so was probably the best package both riders and Lawson are legends Gardner deserves a big mention as well cause he used to maim himself on the nsr500
one of the father of GSXR
Rgv i think, gsxr 4 stroke man
Damn..youre right thx for that
Hey, it's Dave Despain!
I wonder if they both made it to Grand Prix racing?I guess we'll never know.
are you having a laugh
34 = 1
シュワンツがクシタニ
レイニーがタイチ
They start from WSBK, ending MotoGP.

There's a space required between 'to' and 'the'. Brit answering today. ;-)
Is it just them 2 racing? Lol
?
Of course they were fast, brand's indy was just a short track for them 😂
.
Nick Harris. Thank christ he's retired.
The REAL Texas Tornado! 🤘
We will hear more about them hahaha. Soo true
