I'm no basketball fan but I respected Kobe for what he achieved in his sport but even if people didn't like him for the man he supposedly was or the player he was the very least thing you can do is show some damn respect. Same goes for Maradona and a lot of famous deaths really. So I just wanted to comment to say good on you for that you don't have to like him for any reason but at least you have respect

Whenever I see the English media make headlines like this, it makes me hate the English media. If I was writing a report for a newspaper, I'd make it so that it praises one of the world's best footballers of all time. I never saw Maradona play football, but from what I've heard he was a wizard on the pitch, and that solo goal against England when he ran half the pitch with the ball was one of the greatest goals I have ever seen. Also, I would mention the fact that he won the player of the century award along side Pele. He was one of the best on the pitch but was troubled off the pitch. One of the greatest of all time. RIP Diego Armando Maradona.

This one got me a bit emotional - real class video. And as an English football fan I completely agree - we never have to be 'over' potentially losing a world cup game to that handball but it's tasteless and cretinous to be bringing it up now.
This is a personal tragedy AND also the passing of someone who, despite that one incident, was a net blessing to the sport.

From an argentine, thank you Irish Guy. Maradona always will be synonym of football.

I just wanna say that I loved the Irish guys comments on Messi. I hate the never ending arguments on Messi and Ronaldo. Those people arguing never truly appreciate these two legends, who are basically the modern-day reincarnations of icons like Maradona and Pele. As unlikely as it is, please stop the arguments and appreciate and admire these two, don’t try to make one worse or better than the other. Because just like with Maradona, you really don’t know how much time we have left with these two.

Maradona is dead and england fans instead of respecting him are still slating him for cheating. Henry is alive and the irish guy acknowledges its not just his fault and also acknowledges that if henry died he wouldnt bring up the hand ball instead he will mourn him

While i love the homage to the legend that is Maradona wouldnt Aguero be more of an heir as at one point he was the son in law to Diego and while Messi is the modern version of him Aguero was a literal heir to him
