He deserves it, of course he has people he loves and that love him but it won’t stop it from being bad, and the one person that would make his life a bit happier was his husband, well, his hallucination, I know that many would suffer and have sleepless night because of this (read: atsushi) but he’s already passed through enough, he at least needs a break, and at best, actually want to live

As you said in one comment Chuuya died the day of their wedding or the day before it,
so, maybe the day before the wedding, Chuuya finds Dazai kissing another woman
(cuz Dazai is always flirting with one) and he just gets freaking angry because
yk they have been dating many years and dazai still flirts with other women, and literally crying,
on the rain Chuuya gets hit by a car.
or
after seeing dazai kissing the other woman Chuuya gets home and grabs the sleeping pills bottle
(my headcanon is that Chuuya has problems to sleep), and well
yk what happens next

The way my first idea for him dying was that cliché getting hit by a car 💀 anyway, it's more likely (currently) that Chuuya died in abrupt fight where he was either overpowered and/or had to use corruption whether Dazai was there yet or not

We might get some more parts out. This was more the start to a (possibly) larger series across both mine and Asher's channels. We still need to plan it all out, probably write an entire script for it actually... But there is a good chance that there will be more parts to follow as this story goes on (as well as some side pieces, like small videos related to the same AU)

I don't understand what's going on is chuuya really dead how did he die? One thing I'm curious tho on part one dazai mentioned that it was their one year anniversary was he talking about the day chuuya died cause maybe that's when he started hallucinating their marriage to cope with his death?
We haven't thought it all out yet, but Chuuya died the day of or day before their wedding... Dazai definitely hallucinates him to try and cope, but most times the hallucinations get too strong and bring Dazai back into the real world where Ranpo then has to step in

Corruption 😋
Dazai was at the wedding venue, sitting there with the ADA in his beautiful suit of whites and light blues. He was waiting for Chuuya; he wanted to get it over with and just go home. He wasn't told of the mission Mori sent Chuuya on, not until Hirotsu come up to usher him away. The ADA got no explanation when Dazai all of a sudden ran off.
He was too late. Chuuya was already in his corrupted state; the enemy would've won without it. Chuuya didn't have the time to worry about it, he just had to hope Dazai could get there in time. Dazai was there but it was too late. Chuuya's body was already failing and he was barely even able to spot Dazai when his eyes flickered open, blurry. Dazai held it together as Yosano tried to heal Chuuya, but she couldn't. He was already gone by the time Dazai got back to the venue. Dazai now hallucinates Chuuya as a copying mechanism, though the hallucinations tend to get out of hand, especially near special moments in their lives, leaving Ranpo to continuously get other members to save Dazai. Ranpo only goes himself if he is the closest member when he figures it out.
