They looked at it the wrong way. It is an accessory to the VR system. Most of the people that will buy this already own the PC and headset. A $300---$400 price is not outrageous for this tech.
I don't think most of the people with PCs/headsets would buy this though. I think the majority would rather sit in their chair and play games that way. I think where this could be very useful would be for the health & fitness market. It would be great for a sort of walking/running game. Imagine integrating this with Google Earth where you could walk/jog around areas in virtual reality.
@@AJnzxv1I think this would sell well with NASA or the military. NASA could use this to prepare their astronauts for space like working out and the military could use it to train their soldiers in the virtual world first etc.
It's valued $2600 now. Just crazy. But they have some VR set included. There was now chance they would ever sell this at $500. Kickstarter is a different aninal.

Sharks forgot to include the $1000+ cost of a decent PC just to get the best gaming experience . Potentially looking at $3k-$5k just to play.
yea no that is incorrect, it would be no more than $1500 for everything including the vr headset, pc, and this contraption for $400.

Nah VR is dying. Oculus, Vision Pro, MetaQuest…. consumers don’t want the gimmick. They’ve tried all the way back with VirtualBoy. Just like 3D TV, only for niche purchasers and will never be popular

Bob's belief that gamers are inherently lazy said it all. He just wasn't qualified to shark this product.
Personally if I was a shark, I would encourage them to first start off by selling their products to businesses such as arcades or bowling alleys just so that people who already want to play games interactively can enjoy this product as the sharks have raised a good point in being that not everybody is going to want this device in their home and not every day will this product be used. After doing so, the company already would have an understanding of the public’s opinion of the product, and then go from there to see if the public would actually want a product similar to this in their home. I also realised nobody really addressed the special shoes that come that you need to wear with the product which would be kind of a nuisance if you’re deciding to play with it at home, whereas a place like an arcade you could easily make people change their shoes there and play with that type of equipment there. I definitely think this product would be a hit with extra decision-making.

Because inflation devalues your savings, it compels everyone to be an investor. Meaning you need to preoccupy yourself or offload your time/energy to the study of investment opportunities both of which are very costly. Thanks to Walter James Henry for showing me the appropriate way to get into bitcoin investing and trading with his trade signal and investing guidelines. Investing and trading are more than just having TA skills. There is a big component of discipline and emotional maturity, that one has to work on! Time in the market vs. timing the market. If you keep that mentality as an investor, you will stay calm during the storm! Within some months I was making a lot more money and have continued on that same path with Walter James Henry>

They aren’t wrong though. The average gamer has a BMI of 28.05. Non-gamer average is 26.55. So everyone is lazy and fat. (At least in this market)
