I’d rather run a marathon bare foot on LEGO’s than play an influencer board game.
I think our lives are becoming a bad influencer game at this point, but I have to agree with you.
I'm 40. I don't get it. I've gone down to CZcams comments being social media. It's enjoyable running into people in public and not saying or hearing "oh yeah, I saw you post that the other day." I don't even read or get notifications to replies to this comment I'm leaving.

I think he didn't sell $150K, but just 1500 units.
And that $150,000 was the broker's sales, not his. His sales to the broker were probably $75,000.

As someone playing games like Gloomhaven, Root or Nemesis... This looks terrible and dumb.
To everybody saying this company is stupid, they ended up doing around 5 million in sales, and have 7m instagram followers.
I don’t think people have been saying the company won’t make money. This world is fudged so it’s not surprising it makes money.
The issue people have is the game is stupid. It’s nothing but rolling the dice. I guarantee you Tank has never played this game. Because it’s dull… Completely no interaction. It’s a watered down version of “Life”.
The other issue people have is we hate “influencers”. If this game was satirically making fun of influencers… Then maybe. But this glorifies influencers. That’s beyond annoying.
There’s lots of other reasons but those are two big ones.
I like your honesty that just to get there and pitch is a win-win situation. But on the other hand is a lifetime opportunity to get such investors tho. You should have prepared yourself well since you are following from the day one the shark tank show. You know what they want, you should have asked 100k for 5 % even though you are in the early stage but they will bet a flyer on you and you'll have a shark tank investor on your side. Anyway, better luck next time.

He is smart with content creation and the algorithm, but not so much when it comes to business. He basically started off by slightly offending the sharks. Does he really think that because of their age they don't understand social media? Social media and/or influencers are a huge part of most business nowadays. These are top tier business men/ladies. Then he asked way too much. RIP to this pitch...

As a board game enthusiast I am SHOCKED that this is something anyone would buy. The game sounds terrible! It is pure chance / luck. The players have no agency whatsoever. Add to that the lack of a cover or any interesting artwork - who is this game for?
