I love how the entire internet hates NFTs, and NFT sales are crashing every month, yet multi-billion dollar corporations continue to go all in on NFTs.
NFT volume traded sets new records every month.
World’s greatest pyramid scheme

even though if the invention of the smartphone and social media isn't enough
they want to replace humanity with their technology one day
Because multi-billion companies also want to sell you a piece of nothing. 🙃
they make a profit either way, its the latest and greatest way to launder money for them. its art sales without the chance of theft
Still loving the dynamic between the team! Really makes it fun to watch... getting info and having a good chuckle! Thanks for all the good content :D

NFTs will never completely go away. Think about it from the perspective of huge companies. They can charge large amounts of money for literally nothing, and then continue to profit whenever anyone buys or sells their NFT. It's a money printing machine, and they will do anything to try to make it work.

We already paid for badass internet here in the US, the ISPs pocketed all of the money and did nothing. Literally billions of dollars given to them.

Yeah the power company where I live is rolling out fiber, so they sent us all a letter telling us that they didn't take any of that money when it was offered. So now we have to wait longer, and they have an excuse to make it cost more.

First off, Slava Ukraini. Secondly, your get %x my speed at 1/10 the cost, and I have a "decent" plan in the US.
Actually friends with some that were at Lincoln College. It's sad to see it go, as my friends finally found their place only to be told the college is gone. Regardless, they're making do, and other colleges are matching their previous scholarships. They've still got a bright future. Crazy to see this news on TechLinked though, never would have thought.
As much as I dislike US college system, it's still sad to see an institution with such a long history go away, I guess one could say it's the sign of the times we're living in

So for the BMW story, I'm taking a guess here that the chips they selected are compatible with Android Auto and CarPlay, but their implementations would have to be re-written for the newer chips due to some kind of limitation/compatibility issue. So, they'll ship now, update comes out later with the patched feature.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
It's probably where you have to go into the dealership to get the "update" and they really just install the chips at that moment.

Exactly this. German / Austrian Newspapers already covered that topic thoroughly and they have to make the cars Multimedia interface compatible with that chip and will then after the bug fixes implement carplay / android auto support.

Why do you think it's a waste of energy and hardware? Mining does secure the networks you know... so it isn't pointless
@@iCore7Gaming it isn't pointless for the people that actually deal with cryptos. Which is like 1% of the population? Let it even be 5%. It varies depending on where ya live. Big cities have decent options, but middle west America still has only dial up in some regions. Most of the time you kinda have to take what you can get. :/
We have more ISPs in France than in the US, so competition keeps things fair. I believe there are even large chunks of America where they only have the one option.

internet monopoly is a serious problem
Wonder if AT&T will finally uphold their promise to update infrastructure in the rural US. I pay $69 for 12 Mbps here and it's not nice.
Omg, that's absurd. I had a symmetric unlimited 150 Mbps fiber-connection in Rio de Janeiro, 5 years ago, for 69 BRL which would translate to 15 US$ back in the day.
The apartment I bought has been using a symmetric unlimited 300Mpbs for 79 BRL for the last 2.5 years which in today's exchange rate is about 15 US$ still.
The fact that the USA has people paying huge amounts for speeds from 17 years ago seems absurd to me.
I pay that for 1Gbps.
Instagram gets on the NFT train just as it is crashing into the ground. Smart move...

I love how Meta.. is the last of the social medias to support NFTs... when theyre the ones pushing super hard for this Metaverse thing
weird
Facebook isn't always about pushing tech more so than providing front end services for tech. Outside the website itself, which is not about social communications but data and advertising revenue, they don't do much but give users something for providers outside Facebook to latch onto.
Them not providing NFTs but providing a place for NFTs is pretty on par for what they do.
Well, the most recent doesn't mean last
Twitter just has NFT profile pictures while Meta is planning to build a whole marketplace. It makes sense that it takes longer to make, although with the thousands of people working there, they should be able to build that in a week, let alone a month.
Metaverse and crypto/nfts are not related. That's like saying "how does tesla not sell bumper stickers? They are pushing so hard for this car thing".
Meta wants it's own marketplace where it charges 48%. Open marketplaces on public infrastructure is a direct threat to them

As a low-income American, the whole ISP rates being more affordable is amazing! When I first signed up for AT&T, I got fiber and gigabit for $60/month + $150 visa gift card for signing up. Then, when the emergency broadband benefit came around, my bill got reduced to $30 a month. then when that ended, they automatically transitioned me to a new program that takes $30 off my bill, and then gave me an additional $20 credit per month for an entire year to keep my bill at $30 a month.
