Why is everyone focussing on the schools? The whole thing is BS. The death records include anyone who dies for any reason within 28 days of a positive test. If the government really wanted to stamp out the virus the lockdown would be much harsher. More businesses would shut down, far stricter restrictions on socialising etc. They have to weigh up if closing down certain things will be worth it or not.
@@hihi-nm3uy I donât know what school you go to but only really good state schools or private schools can offer actual lessons. Most schools just set work for students rather than actually teaching it so you canât really say online teaching will give all students a necessary and relevant education.

Love how everyone got shunned for being a conspiracy theorist for making these points a few months ago
I think that old woman at the end just shows how utterly horrendous the handling of this has been by the government, that we've reached a point where there are no right answers because all of the options are so terrible. They could've and should've had this under control by now but just use it as an opportunity to make themselves and their mates richer, and possibly as a distraction to get away with other horrendous things that they'd otherwise get torn to bits over
The first lockdown was nowhere near strict enough. Y'all closed gyms, beauty salons and theatres and put livelihoods at risk yet travelled to Ibiza and Zante getting yourselves a tan. This lockdown was only for the poor that couldn't go overseas and ignore it. Australia and New Zealand had complete lockdowns. International borders were closed. State borders closed. Full home schooling inc Unis, curfews etc and now have 0 daily cases with crowds now back at sporting events etc
Exactly, I still can't fathom why we allowed people to travel in and out of the country ? Surely it makes sense to contain the cases you have, stop anymore from coming in from outside sources and once the existing cases have fizzled out you can then come out of lockdown and go back to normal apart from keeping travel in and out of the country locked down
Letâs see how u feel after this second lockdown

I got made redundant on the 27th, with no redundancy pay because the restaurant i worked at couldn't afford to keep me on the books with no customers coming in. I was absolutely gutted but thought - "OK, its a pandemic, times are hard. No time to whinge, just pull your socks up and do something about it."
Got a new job on the 29th, pulled out some c.v masterclass and called in every favour under the sun to get an interview. Most stressful 48 hours I've had in a long time, but i got through the interview, got the callback and signed my contract at 9am on the 31st....
Now we're in a lockdown again and I can't get furloughed from my new job because I've missed the cutoff by 1 DAY! My old job can't put me on furlough because I had to sign a contract to take a new job and THAT made it through the system on time, you know, my TAX CODE!
Now I have no idea where my next paycheck is coming from, I've been underpaid all year because of covid and now I won't have the money to pay my rent this Christmas.

I'm really happy you guys are bringing up the problem of other conditions not being treated due to this - I nearly died in April after not getting doctors attention for two months in order to get medication for my ulcerative colitis and it took me losing a third of my weight and being rushed into A&E to finally get someone's attention... Turned out it was too late and I needed an emergency surgery to remove my colon and I'm now having to live with the consequences of doctors ignoring me and my PREVIOUSLY DIAGNOSED issue and getting a stoma bag at the age of 19.
I understand the overcrowding in hospitals and struggles with understaffing but this was the case of two separate GPs leaving all calls on hold and no way of reaching specialists.

you cant just be slamming graphs in a video, using them as a reason to justify an opinion, and also not actually provide the source of the DATA not the twitter you screen shotted.
Twitter/fb is the source of most of the idiots information
My objection isnât in the use of graphs but come on, the mass population of the UK have barely a GCSE level understanding of maths and statistics - what they displayed was vague and requires quite a lot of years of study that you and I probably donât even realise we had. To an amateur, the data and information was poorly displayed, and this is the government we are talking about. Independent, at home folk managed to find better ways of displaying the figures than supposedly the top brass. It reeks of being disingenuous. Truth can be related fairly simply almost all the time, but when youâre covering your tracks, things get muddy. And the message from the government is so muddy, you donât know what it is.

I work for a church and I watched this briefing to figure out how my job would look in the new lockdown measures because we'd been allowed to remain open in all the previous tiers. We got none. Our entire staff team was so confused on what was going to happen. We had to dig in the government website to try and figure it out. Yet more lack of communication, it's so annoying.
The problem is the people that will loose their jobs, loose their connections with the families and be in mass amounts of debt they will probably want to get it so they can die so they donât have to be paying their debts or be homeless see their kids starving. Itâs disgusting, nurseries and primary schools should be closed and the only year groups that should be attending schools and colleges and universities should be the ones with upcoming exams, ie gcse, a levels, btec and degree level students should be in but year that arenât important should be left out and taught online. I agree that if people can work from home then let them Cos that is safer, but a lockdown is gonna cause so many more problems. It just feels like they want to eradicate the disabled, weak and poor from society. Especially up north as true Geordie will know the further north you get thereâs more poverty.
