pushing side wave around 1min to 45sec gives the option to either start a sidelane trade play early if the enemy goes to the neutral objective instead of catching the wave, or to get grouped prio on the final mid wave if the enemy does stay to catch the wave. getting prio on the final mid wave makes the enemy catch it so you can control jungle/river and try to cut off the enemy from objective, or if the enemy gives up the mid wave to position in river then you can start a trade on midlane turret early.
Yeah! This is solid analysis. Some extra things as well. This concept is especially important if you have tanks (someone who loses sidelane) or a person w/o tp as you have to create a timer for them to group! thanks, those were just my thoughts and i'm open to more ideas i believe they contested mid because Baron was spawned and EDG had spent their resources warding bot jg and flanks, and they also seemed committed to pressuring the toplane splitpush. perhaps their read was that if OMG takes mid prio uncontested, OMG could fog around baron and it'd be hard for their kite comp to facecheck baron river (not sure how many hawkshots Ashe has left) plus Jax might be threatened toplane. so they posture the topside bush and take mid wave and splitpush top to bring OMG out and pressure them to do something while grouped, and play around where they already have better vision until they found that engage on the pixel brush.
