- Hey Everyone, In todays vlog we are showing you a typical Gala Evening on board the P&O Britannia. Yep, it's time to put on those glad Rags as we bring you along and show you what is happening on this fine evening.
From a delicious Gala dinner to tonight's Entertainment we show you what to typically expect on a P&O ship. For those not wishing to dress up and dine in the MDR we also show you the food available in the Horizon Buffet if you choose to keep things more casual. The choice is yours, do what suits you best 😁

I was on Britannia during the kings coronation, gala night was quite dressy and most other evenings were smart casual but that was to the fjords..I do think itinerary can make a difference folks and that can change the vibe of a ship, I loved her, food was so so but as a vessel 👍🏼
Better than iona, ventura and azura but Aurora is still my favourite.. but msc euribia in December for the Christmas markets..its a bargain!

Hi from Newcastle Staffs, we love the dressing up gala nights, however we always feel the food isn't as good on this evening. We have been on Iona 3x & Arvia on the Transatlantic March/April. Love your vlogs........

This was fun. I just got off the Meraviglia and we only had 1 Gala Night on a 8 day sailing. We did get dressed up. It's fun because we don't get a chance to do it at home very often. You both looked great! We had lobster and filet mignon on gala night. It was very good. 😋 You are both so fun to watch. Thank you.

Really enjoyed that guys thank you. Was this the Norway cruise? We just got back from that yesterday on the Britannia. Our first cruise ever and you learn a lot about how things work, believe me. We couldn't get into the Epicurian restaurant at all, booked solid from day one. And heads up to other, dress code of smart/casual means different things to different people. The staff at all times were totally brilliant and it makes the experience way better.

Thank you for your post. We are off on Britannia at the end of June and found it really useful. If you look at TA you think you’ve done the wrong thing in booking but with the right attitude it looks okay and you can have fun. Oh, you guys look great dressed up or casual. You seem a lovely couple and the sort you don’t mind getting a table next to.
Thanks so much and yes haha we take everything with a pinch of salt. The reviews for most of the ships we have done with 3 different companies all have bad reviews lol. We take no notice and go see for ourselves and make our own minds up. Some of the things people complain about are ridiculous anyway 🤣
Have watched all your Cruise vlogs some more than once, see you have succumbed to the dressing up, Kev in a suit, what happened to the sparkly shoes. You both look great, not that you did not on your previous cruises.

It's us from here in the US who are supposed to love our jeans and casual attire! 🤣🤣You clean up much nicer than us, Kev and Stacy. Love the table with a view. The lobster looked delicious, but the beef certainly wasn't cooked medium. I order rare to be safe. Love it pink! We could also be happy dressed casual at the buffet. Cher would be a fun show (it's easier to type, Stacey) and she did sound nice. We enjoyed your evening and we loved coming along.
Haha thanks so much Dave and Kathy and haha she had a great voice but we're more red hot chilli pepper fans and foo fighters fans lol. Hope you're both ok. We're back in a few days so will catch up on what you've been up to on your travels

I’m on Brit on Friday for two weeks, 4 yes 4 Gala nights! Buffet and a movie 🍿 on at least a couple of those I reckon. Are you doing a buffet review ? What you did show looked a bit limited tbh. Great vids, always enjoy them 👍🏻
Wow that's alot of gala nights we would definitely be heading the buffet too in some of them lol. And yes the buffet video is next 👍

On the gala evening the app was down so went down for evening meal 19:45 queued for 15 mins to get to the front and then given a buzzer thing, got buzzed 21:15 for our table for 2. when we got into the restaurant there were loads of empty tables, think they may have forgotten us, we did enjoy the meal
came out at 22:45 so luckily for us we missed the Cher tribute act, we went to the glass house after our meal not a lot going on there so nice and quiet that's good with us.
We did get dressed up tuxedo and the wife in her sparkly gown don't mined as it was just the once prefer to go casual.
At the end of the day we got feed and watered so no complaints
Hi and haha yes Cher isn't really our thing but she did have a great voice. We preferred her other show on the last night lol. And yes we ate early so we must of missed the mad rush lol. The food was lovely though
I know this is an older video so you may not see the comments but I just wanted to ask how you did your hair Stacey because I thought you weren’t allowed hair tools!?! We’re going on our first ever cruise in a couple of weeks and I’m stressing about my hair 😂🙈
Hi I've taken straighteners and curlers on every cruise I've ever been on and no-one has ever said anything. As far as I'm aware you can, I've never seen it say you can't

Myself and my wife went to a gala night on that ship just over a week ago. I’m not keen dressing up ,although we both did. I couldn’t wait for the night to end so I could feel more comfortable. We met the captain and had really nice chat with him. Although it was a very nice ship I do miss the prom deck . Would I go back on Britannia?Yes I would but not on a warm climate cruise ,as me and the wife both agreed that the ship is more suitable for colder countries . Happy cruising.

How does the gala night work with kids? Is there a menu better suited for them?
Hi from what we saw it looks like they were giving out separate menus to kids. Not sure what was on it though
