I was a CAR main in TF2, R97 was OP in extreme close quarter situations, besides that the CAR dominated in every situation. I believe in Apex, the R97, now R99, is the more dominant. They gave the gun a buff in this game, and nerfed the CAR however added a weird mag-switch mechanism? But still, the CAR is great - just not as great as it was in the old games.
the real dominator was holochads luring enemies to satchel charges

R99 has a more controllable pattern car has better damage, you get a barrel stabilizer and get the car’s recoil down you might as well use it, but if you can’t control the recoil just use R99
I agree on that. But hey, Car does more damage and reloads faster
@@Revetek True but for me at least being the console pleb I am I still struggle, depending on what kind of day I’m having, with controlling the CAR’s recoil, so on paper it may be statistically better, but in practice R-99 is usually the better choice for me personally and probably for most people who struggle with recoil control more. Because I’m more likely to hit more of my spray, my damage in practice is superior.
