I'm from Canada and live in California now. My wife and I have epic arguments about toques vs beanies. I will never surrender. :)
My grandfather camped a lot and he made a makeshift garbage pickup stick. Just a nail through a nice piece of a walking stick. Always picked up garbage in and around where he camped.

With after market ties you really need to go with the rating on the sidewall of the tire, not what's on the van for the factory tires. It's usually different especially going from street to A/T, or number of plys.
I was going to mention the same thing. Those are way bigger tires then factory
The bigger problem would be if the tires were only a 65 psi tire. Yes some e rated tires are 65psi but don't think the little size he changed won't make much difference. The speedo difference would be something having to adjust but his don't work all the time

Record your memories, family stories, significant dates and include important photos. You and your family will b incredibly grateful in the future.
Thank you for cleaning up the garbage. I always bring a trash bag when I head out into the mountains and return with a full load. It's sad that we have to clean up after other people.

Adjust pressure to conditions, bit bumpy/ off road take 5-10psi out for smoother ride. Bogged in sand, take lots out!...Not sure where 'ol mate Zeus 406 got 80psi from, check ya Tyre wall for manufacturers spec. but they will only provide max on highway conditions

Things that keep me occupied.... canning, cardmaking, homebrewing and other crafts. That is the exact reason I can put a bed and a butane stove with a cooler and a bucket for a composting toilet in my van and go on short trips. I have too many crafts and I am a little too gimpy for vanlife. BUT, camping is everything. Very soon I am going to brew up some IPA's. I love the hops!!! (Then I give most of it away because I don't drink much.)

Cool! I`m an afol ( Adult Fan of Lego ) muhself. And that 2x2 round printed tile is awesome! use le-glue to glue your lego set together, comes apart easy with warm water if you didnt want it permanently glued. or use loctite ultra gel to make it more permanent.

Thank goodness a subscriber gave you that portable hard drive of movies & shows for entertainment, was honestly just thinking about that cause I remembered you saying that you mostly used netflix and frankly netflix isn't the most reliable out in the middle of nowhere. I myself have a 5tb portable hard drive for movies and shows and it's great.

One of my hobbies is amateur (ham) radio. It is a great hobby for van life because it lets you talk with people around the world from your van. Perfect to keep connected with people when you are stuck in the van because of bad weather or whatever.

Get a soft brush broom and a bucket of soapy water and brush the van down and then rinse with the tower
I've been subscribed since around the 20k mark I think give or take, and it's crazy that it seemed to take awhile to hit 100k then “BAM!”, an additional 50k only took a hot minute it seemed. BTW, awesome Lego! The figures took it to the next level!

Some of my solo Vanlife entertainment essentials are, Red Ryder BB rifle, micro RC rock crawler, RC drone, harmonica, compact fishing gear, slingshot, binoculars, books, micro RC boat, tools, my dog and a few other odds and ends. It definitely can get boring being alone.

If you're in a vanlifer near an ocean ,try surfing( body boarding , stand-up paddling ,etc) it'll give you plenty to do!

Hi Chrome, watching from Australia and you have inspired me with everything I see. just a tip and suggestion that may help you you in 2 ways. when setting up your awning is number one. when you release the velcro from awning pull your inner legs out to the side and only close them enough to put in slots that way they are ready to slot into place and drop front legs. pack up is the same.
In Australia we have a great little travel oven does not drayw much power when camped but it shines while driving between destinations. people even cook roasts in them. Search travel buddy ovens. I am in a 4wd group and people get blown away when we pull up and I am either pulling pies and sausage rolls out for everyone or pizza for myself as while we where driving it was cooking and makes the patrol smell amazing while driving. Love your vlogs... best wishes

Lego kits go together faster with less tequila...though speed is not everything! Ideas for rainy days: yoga stretching, knitting/crocheting, journaling, reordering storage, cooking something unusual, reading, practicing my French w duo lingo, cleaning the windows on the inside, carving/whittling, practicing a musical instrument, grooming my dog and/or giving him a massage...doing puzzles. My mind is so full of the possibilities.
Books are a great escape.
