Yeah man this demo does help I gotta wire up my vesc pro2 gotta hit u up or follow that video
Hell yeah! I got a basic setup video aswell if you wanna check that out!
Yeah brother. Stoked your back riding with the new FlipSky 😛👊🏼 Thank you for the video, I’m sure it will help lots of people.
Hell yeah brother! The new flipsky has been running awesome! Hopefully this vid will help tons of people get comfy wiring up a vesc!
Thanks for making this. I’m building my first bike, son has a Kelly, I’m leaning towards flipsky/vesc. This helps tremendously. Keep ‘em coming 🤙🏻
Hell yeah! I'm glad I could help, I got a basic setup video coming soon as well that should help get the wheels spinning!
Guess you are still working out the perfect tune but can't wait for the Flipsky v2 programming video. Got my 75200 and 72v battery ready to install....... 😈 thanks EmxBrandon!
Basic Setup video is coming soon!! I call it basic setup but honestly it's perfect on the b1! I can't find any settings to mess with that really make a big difference yet with how perfect it already is!
Update on the blown flipsky!! After research it seems like the flipsky are suseptible to blowing under hard load and thr bms cutting out. Thinking back I definitely pushed the flipsky hard enough to set off the bms multiple times and I believe the last one was the one that did it!
So even at the 100A you set and it's 75v/150A rating it still couldn't handle it? Makes me want to swap it out for something more robust now
@DescartesRenegade no the bombmoto 72v 30ah bms couldn't handle the 140 amp spike and triggered the bms to shut the battery down. Causing I guess a ton of back emf into the controller and it popped. The controller itself can handle the current no problem, you just gotta make sure your battery can handle the draw. You'll see in an upcoming video, I threw in my amorge 72v 36ah 225a discharge in with the flipsky 75200 v2 and it handled it like a champ. Highest temp I saw from the controller was 50c and it was spiking 13kw and running around 10kw constant all day. The stock b1 motor was the weak point lol (my fault for more than doubling the power it can handle), it still runs but the motor spunds like shit. So just be careful with the flipsky and don't let the bms trip during heavy load and the controller will be fine!
@@EmxBrandon so you think the back EMF popped the 100V capacitors cause your BMS cut off?
@DescartesRenegade I'm not even gonna pretend to know what went, all I can say is something shorted out in the controller after the bms cut under hard acceleration. Installed the new controller with a higher powered battery and all is good!
hi boss.. how many watts does your motor have? I have a 3000 nominal watt and a nominal 5000 watt and I'm undecided which of the two would go better with this controller... in your opinion?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
🤘🏻😄
I had a couple questions about the Bomb Moto B1. I have a battery that is 6.25x7x8.25, and am wondering if I can fit that while keeping the stock plastics on. I saw in one of your videos that you had a battery that was 8.5 inches wide, and that was too wide for the plastics to fit. So if my battery is over 2 inches narrower, would the stock plastics fit? Also, my other question was whether or not the B1 stock wheels have freewheels or not. Thanks in advance.
The battery needs to be 6in front to back, 7in side to side, and 8.25in tall to be able to fit. And that's all just an assumption, so not confirmed. And the only electric pitbike that has a freewheel is the razors, freewheel are meant for bicycles not dirtbikes. And the razors are technically meant for kids doing max 15mph, once you start adding power they just end up becoming a weak point.
@@EmxBrandon Ok thanks for the reply. I’m glad it doesn’t have freewheels as I didn’t want them to for regen purposes. Do you know how I could get official dimensions for the max battery size while still fitting plastics on? I want to get the B1 chassis but I need to make sure my battery fits before I do. Thanks
Watt for watt, how does the Flipsky compare to your fardriver setup?
I'm still very inexperienced with vesc, but the flipsky pulls much harder and for longer than the fardriver. The main attraction for me was the throttle mapping and how buttery smooth you can make it for wheelies, or hit hard for racing. The fardriver does effortlessly get the bike up to top speed though. I has to turn the flipsky up quite a bit to match the fardriver speed. But! That could just be my inexperience.
my flipsky 75200 the hall wire colors do not match entirely. I've got yellow to blue, green to orange, blue too green.
it's a bomb moto B1 Version 1.
Got my controller from chargedup3d. i was under the impression it was pre wired for the b1. should I match the colors??
Just run the motor learn it should be fine.
How much battery current were you pushing to the flipsky?
100
Have you tried JK bms yet?
@@Vmaxfodder that's mostly all I use.
@DescartesRenegade they have up to 24s , but have not seen anything bigger yet . My footscooter is 2 - 24s 8p for 16p . 86v nom. Have you seen any 28s?
@@Vmaxfodder no, anything higher than 24s I have to use ANTBMS
would this wiring work for the razor?
It will work for anything! This is just basics like throttle, key switch, volt, meter, and 12v reducer, which any bike will have! You just need to hook your motor up to the flipsky and get it tuned!
@@EmxBrandon great video! Any chance you can do a flipsky set up/tune video?
hi boss... can you explain to me how you connected the brakes? did you use 5v or also 3.3v for the brakes? Thank you
As far as regen? I've never hooked up the brakes to regen before. But you'd use the 3.3v source and adc2. Then you'd have to set it up in the app. But I've never done it before.
I wanted to know the connection of the brakes because my e-bike has both two pin brakes so I was wondering if it was ok to connect them to adc2 and 3.3v? without gnd
@alessiogambi6881 yup! No ground at all, just one side of the brake sensor to 3.3 and the other the adc2.
thank you so much boss!! and thanks for answering me!
sorry brandon I have another question... while I was watching your video something came to mind... how did you manage to connect both the brakes and accelerator to the 3.3v? what connection did you make? thank you very much
when the footbrake vid coming out?
I'd basically just be copy and pasting the other footbrake video I did.
@@EmxBrandonwith dual cailpers?
@@bms81 yeah most likely, unless I can find a footbrake master that seals better for the cable splitter so it doesn't spew out the top when I hit the hand brake lol
I wash my gpu's in the sink. One day is no where near long enough to let your controller dry.
Sorry for your loss..
Check out the pinned comment! It wasn't water damage, ended up being from the bms shutting down during a full pull.
My throttle has blue red black....
I'd imagine red to 3.3 black to gnd and blue to adc1
Why not use the waterproof version? Is it because they don’t offer the waterproof version in the V2 option?
I'm not too sure in that one. But I'm pretty sure I burnt the first one up from the bms cutting and not water damage. I wasn't sure at the time but I did bunch of reading and came to that conclusion after I made this video. I wanna say they do make a water cooled 75200 that probably potted, but the v1 and v2 are not potted or waterproof.
@@EmxBrandon they make a specific water cooled variant which is waterproof the 75100 and 75200 but I don’t think they do a v2 liquid cooled what is the difference with the v2?
