Welker Farms
P. O. BOX 771 Shelby Montana 59474
Wide boom, fast and looks great. Nice they are letting you use it. Praying for rain for you. Hope the crew / family and you are doing well. God Bless.
Nick, you deliver what you feel is best, it's always great to watch and informative. I so feel for you in these times, but admire your upbeat approach and mood. Whatever you put up I'll be there watching, hoping and praying. I would keep it all together on this channel; it's the life you're having to live just now.
Bless you all.
Let’s hope for rain and maybe you can salvage the crops this year regardless you’re healthy and you have a great families and great support And putting out great content we’re all hoping for the best
P
Except for that 1%. I laughed and laughed. God bless all the Welkers, thanks for sharing your farm and your lives.
So glad you are able to keep the positive attitude. I know the dry conditions are weighing on your mind. The next time I think I have something to complain about I’ll keep you in mind and keep my mouth shut.
I pray the rains will come soon for your farms. God bless your families. I ran a spray-chem with 60 foot booms and thought I was really getting it done in the 90's. A bababy in today's world I guess
Sorry to see you are experiencing drought, Nick. In Australia drought is very much part of farming, feel for all of you that are in that situation. That is certainly some piece of gear you are getting to use.
Orchard "speed" spraying, 2.25 mph and 13 ft rows. A different world. Cascade Mts started getting snow in March, we went from short of water to passes opening late.
Hi awesome looking sprayer wish Patriots were available in the United Kingdom and Europe feel like we are missing out on some useful kit however I really enjoy your videos and live streaming although it is usually night time here when you're online.
Praying for some rain for you soon take care 🤠.
There's one in in Shawnee county Kansas, I see him doing his fields with it, I was like that isn't your typical case sprayer, I knew it was a newer production model
For the all-plastic cabs, you should get a heavy duty suction cup camera mount like a Panavise brand and put a metal plate on it (tap a 1/4-20 hole in the plate basically), and then you can stick it on the glass and stick your regular mag mount onto it.
Your live streams are another great addition to your channel. We enjoy riding along,, thanks…
In sw ontario, about 2 hrs from Toronto and Detroit. We should be at 85-90 in the day. 70-80 at night. Tonight.......52. Day time... 70. Rain is hit and miss. Crazy winds. Grandma would be wearing pants today. She never liked it when the wind blew up her skirt. Still grateful for water we have.
Add a container of miracle wipes in the cab. ...you'll appreciate the hand cleaning wipes..make sure to close the top they are the best for hands and cleaning equipment
I like your positive thinking.
It's not getting you anywhere
when you cry all the time. 😉
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
Awesome video. Praying for rain for you all.. God Bless you all..
Beautiful piece of equipment!!
Nice machine. Good work 👍👍
When are we gonna get a video on the new houses? Like to see an update on how there coming along. I pray you guys get some rain soon. I would love to send some of the rain we have been getting. Be safe and God Bless.
Real soon! Just getting caught up on back logged videos and we'll be in house builds and some lake house videos!
I vaguely recall something about a Caterpillar 3406 engine that needs to be rebuilt. If that's indeed true would that be a replacement engine for the Big Bud when rebuilt?
Good Bless you and your family.
That's nuts.. spraying at 19mph.. awesome
The one thing I noticed if you got stuck where are the two points doesn't look like there's none in the front and none of the back everything else really looks nice I like those airbags must have a nice fry but what happens when you get stuck thank you
Pretty slick machine. Given the cost of the 4440 new, I expect this unit to be $600K CAD or more. Would love to see more details of the suspension links.
After your experience with the Patriot 4440 last year I sort of expected you guys would go look for a used one, either 4430 or 4440. There are quite a few used machines on the market in southern Alberta for not terribly ridiculous prices. Refurbishing the hydro pumps and doing seals in the drive motors and gearboxes isn't too bad. And a lot of guys are stretching their 4430 and 4440 tanks to 1650 gallons, like FastAg did. Can pick up two used 4440s and stretch them for the cost of one brand new 4450.
Dealership down the road has a 2023 4450 for sale at $707k USD… Central ND
Hallo all the Welkers, hope you are well. We will pray for rain, and a bumper crop this season. Be blessed.
Real good window suction cup mount
Is that how you normally spray a field? Seems as if you have more than one headland. When I spray with my sprayer I first go round the field which marks out the boundary then go up and down the field and when you get to the headland one it automatically shuts down the nozzels.
Praying for all
Glad to hear you say your going to keep this a praise year. I hope to walk with you in praise this year. Blessings.
Jesus is always faithful.
19 mph in the field is about the same top speed in the tractors I grew up with.
Praying you get adequate rain next year!
Mr Nick Welker, would you be able to run some wheel lines(irrigation) like we used here in the east for our potatoes.(like the one in Yellowstone)❓I ran three each season on our 80-90 acres of potatoes in south Jersey back in the late’70s to ‘84.
Does that sprayer have an injector pump? That way you have chemical in a small tank that can be switched at any time. Your other large ta
nk only carries water
1:05:45 I'd put the construction vodeos it on the Welker Farms channel.
1st because it kinda belongs to the Farm anyways.
2nd because (as you said) you might not have much combining to show us this year, that footage will help keeping klicks on this channel wich is important for the youtube algorytm/ranking thingy.
That said, I'll hope you get plenty of rain soon!
Hey@Nick Welker. I sure do miss Montana. Cool sprayer
What do you think of the Michelin tires. We like are michelins we love the things there definitely way better than any Firestone and we do have some Titan tires but most of those or not on any tractors. And trust me the Michelin tires are worth every penny they cost even though they are dang expensive.
They seem to hold up pretty good for the little time we spent with them. Honestly we have very little experience around Michelin as none of our machinery run them but I hear they are great!
@@WelkerFarms yeah they are very smooth riding tires in field or on road. And last a long time no dry rotten and the tread lasts a long while. We have two tractors almost identical one has fire Stones because that's how it was when we bought it (very rough riding tires) and then the other one has michelins which my dad bought that tractor brand new like over 20 years ago and it came with michelin's and then when they got wore out he replaced them with michelin's because they were about the smoothest tire that he had ever drove on. We are trying out a off brand of Michelin on are biggest tractor called bkt which is supposed to be just as good which they are pretty close but Michelin is still a bit better than the bkt. I do have some videos on my channel some what.
Advice only Nick don't go mucking around with manual rolover tarps anymore it will bring your chest and shoulder undone. Push a button it's easier on your body.
Hey Nick I'm sorry to hear about your drought you're having Mike Mitchell in Canada one half of his farm land is to much rain and the other is dry
It looks like your hitting warp speed in the Enterprise. Cool sprayer. Hoping for rain.
Plant the seed , though it will get hot, but cooling, refreshing rains are coming.
Love Case IH! I had a 970
Great video!
Yea so good houses coming on
I pray you guys get some rain crops in central north Dakota look pretty good so far
Farmers are already reducing fertilizer cost over 70% while increasing yield nearly 7% with the “SNX30-XL nutrient supplement”. As one farmer puts it - It almost feels like cheating!
Hey nick its 11 pm here in New Zealand
94°F heat index of 105°F in Kansas City Missouri
Could you water a 2 acre plot to possibly see what the crop potential would be if you got proper rain? I no it's not cost effective to do it.
Hey @Nick! I sure do miss Montana!
I do believe in the power of prayer, and power praying, if everyone asked god to help the walkers farm with some rain the good lord will have to listen, maby add a prayer for the Ukraine too.
It is a sad thing to work so hard prepping, planting and spraying to watch the investment burn up in a drought. I have had employment droughts. I have lost my main job multiple times and worked 2-3 part time jobs just above the minimum wage. My circumstances overwhelmed me. I had a wife, two children and a mortgage. The Holy Spirit brought me to Mathew 11:28 to 30. He was teaching to come to him to be gentle and lowly in heart and learn from Jesus. Hardest part, and still is, to accept His yoke. I will be praying for all of you.
Hi Nick it's TOM from Rugby in England !!
My truck said 108 in missouri today
When do you plan to start your home ?
We have one of these 4450 comin to where I work. I run a 2019 4440 with a 120ft boom. That camera is called row sense, I have that on mine.
Awesome, I would love to hear your thoughts on what you think as you've had more time in a 4440 than I have.
@@WelkerFarms I guess I'll have to let ya know when ours comes in this fall. They have changed quite a bit in the cab compared to the 4440, the handle and console setup reminds me of my old 2019 1300C Rogator.
Best marketing investment CaseIH ever made sponsoring your channel.
Welker farming and framing. Covers both of your endeavors.
Has it got wings looks about ready to take off lol.
IT'S RED AND GOOD TO GO.
Did they fix the aux power plug behind the seat on the right side or does it still get smashed by the seat if you attach something to it and the seat bottoms out?
If you're speaking of the older cab style then yes, this new cab as seen in the magnums and steigers have a lot more room between the seat and cab.
God is so good. He has a plan in this. Blessings to your family
I thought you got rain earlier in the week
My weather app showed some rain Monday or Tuesday around Shelby ?
Talking about hot check out Southwest Georgia next week! 103 and 105 Tuesday and Wednesday.
Welker farms =always the best live streams 😀😀👍👍👌👌 Thanks
Trying to dream. It's fun. Wonder. How that would make a fire dept brush fire rig.
How you guys dealing with the diesel prices out there
I pray you guys get some rain
Is there any rain in the forecast?
does it make ruts when you turn that fast on the sprayer?
very neat from eastyorkshire
What about irrigation I went to some States and they have that big irrigation systems to run a big circle in the crop so you're above them it looks like big circles. There has to be way to have irrigation where you live. Deep water well can that be done. I hate to see you so dry again this year.
What is under the nose cone in front of the cab if the engine is at the back?
that is a sexy sprayer
Do you have coulees like those south of Teton River?
If it's not exactly a prototype, it could be a proof of concept. The step before a prototype is designed and built.
If it rains soon well it help or is it lost.
That sprayer must what it is like to taxi a B52 bomber!
1:19:20 It sounds like an air raid alarm when it is on its way up to speed 🙈🙈
Does it have recirclating booms?
Could make a tow tank on the back !!
Would it be any help to just spray with water///
Case IH 4450 Patriot looks like a dragonfly
They are making them sprayers I know guys up here in Canada have them
Maybe demo units but production has just barely begun for customers.
Looks like something from Star Wars.
Move those booms to the middle of the machine and U would have one huge Dragonfly!
Yeah .. I want the house videos to see where our famous Scot and ...what's your name again? will snore snore ...
When you turn sharp while spraying does the boom compensate from outer to inner?
Its where the gps will turn off the nozzles and it will not go over it will shut off the nozzle when the turn is there if you want to do straight on the headlands
Aim command flex has turn compensation.
At high speeds, the boom acts as training wheels. Oh wait, too much FS22... Carry on.
The front looks like a A-10 "Warthog" attack aircraft.
We need a legarms house build channel.
Have two channels and post on both.
I see the forecast on windy has Shelby getting between 1 and 2 inches of rain in the next 5 days, let’s hope it is true,
🙏
Welker never give up
cool
With the lack of water in your part of the U. S.,how about drilling well points so you don’t have to be dependent on Mother Nature.
there is no aquifer under that part of Montana. Farm is too big for pivots.
What isyour first tractor u bought on the farm?
hi from the netherlands
What is the gvw on that sprayer
Are you part of the Palacer triangle? I lived in Alberta and parts of it running down to the boarder was part of it
can you guys get starlink out there yet
what i hate is 2 weeks of clips and seeing them heavy clouds just blow over with out dropping any moisture. need cloud seeding if it was possible
It will be hard to let the 4450 go.
