Battlefield V is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20, 2018. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were granted early access to the game on November 15, 2018, and Origin Access Premium subscribers on PC received access to the game on November 9, 2018. The game is based on World War II and is a thematic continuation of its World War I based precursor Battlefield 1.
Battlefield V will focus extensively on party-based features and mechanics, scarcity of resources, and removing "abstractions" from game mechanics to increase realism. There will be an expanded focus on player customization through the new Company system, where players will be able to create multiple characters with various cosmetic and weapon options. Cosmetic items, and currency used to purchase others, will be earned by completing in-game objectives.
The game will feature several new multiplayer modes, including the "continuous" campaign mode "Tides of War", "Firestorm", and "Grand Operations". The Grand Operations mode is an expansion of the "Operations" mode introduced in Battlefield 1, which focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war. In Grand Operations, each round will have specific objectives, and performance in each stage will influence the next. Games will culminate with a "Final Stand", with players using only a primary weapon with limited ammo, and no respawns. Similarly to Battlefield 1, the game will feature a collection of single-player "war stories" based on aspects of World War II. The game also features a cooperative mode not seen since Battlefield 3 called "Combined Arms", where four players can undertake missions together and features dynamic missions and objectives so missions cannot be played the same way each time. Combined Arms is scheduled to be released after launch. The Battle Royale mode will be built around the franchise's "core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles". The name "Firestorm" is derived from a literal storm of fire that engulfs players similar to the popular Battle Royale game mechanic of restricting the play area. Furthermore, this particular game mode is not being developed by EA DICE themselves, but has been outsourced to Criterion Games and features the biggest map created by the franchise to date. It is playable by 64 players, which are divided into up to 16 squads with a focus on team work.Firestorm is scheduled to be released in March 2019. - Wikipedia

@@SilkOCE Makes sense yeh. Personally, I've never enjoyed vehicle gameplay. I respect the skill to be able to do what you and others do but it's not for me. I prefer to one of the bugs on the ground who've just been blown up by one of your rockets! haha
To be fair this is basically the most boring way to play planes. This is like running the ZH from spawn, not even a real threat just super annoying.

The weird thing is that no matter how many times u look up how to fly in bf4/5 u have to actually train yourself and pick your own settings. Silk is just goated and a clear image of what most people wanna be in bf4/5

Bro! Since watching this video a month ago and changing my tactics, and finally getting the rocket zero fully upgraded I had the best game ever last night on Iwo Jima. I went 75 and 1 (got caught between AA and a lucky Fliger). Oh man, I had so much fun. Not taking risks, staying close to the resupply, flying high and staying out of range of AA and Fligers. I was focusing mainly on tanks because no one was spotting, it was hard to see infantry. Thank you for these clinics!

What is your control set up? Back on PS4 in jets and planes I could dominate, but now I’m on pc and I struggle to just fly

Hi I am the dude that camps base AA. My squad is 1 tank 1 plane and both guns on Iwo Jima. The amount of hate my squad and I get is immeasurable and it’s a lot of fun watching the entire enemy team try and take us out...over and over and over again.
As a top 1% pilot on xbox, pilots get super salty when the enemy breaks out fleigers or they all get on AA. Its really cringy. They will message you saying to get gud and you can’t win unless you use AA. Like sorry you went 92-2 and your two deaths were to AA. God forbid you should be unchallenged anymore, considering I directly hit your plane 7 times but you instant repair and fly away.
I know the planes are unbalanced and way OP, but I never get mad at players for using plane counters. Just a bunch of salty pilots trying to make stream videos and get salty when they get killed on their 100 kill game.
i would like to see how you would use the stuka a more of a challenge to fly i think ?

Lol left stick is to control speed. Hold it forward and it will make you gain speed so your plane generates lift to take off. Once you reach half way on the run way pull the right stick backwards that will allow you to take off.

What are your keybinds for flying. I use the default and it’s such a pain in the ass.
Although it may not make sense there is a range limit on rockets. They cause less damage at range regardless of accuracy....at least in my experience.
What's with the rapid fire switching of the rear cam when an enemy bogey is on your six?
To be honest I think they should buff stationarry aa a little bit. With that I mean that the heat gain needs to be less because if you miss like 2-3 shoots some planes still does not die, before it needs to cool down again and maybe just give tat more range. Because some times it just feel like you cant do shit if they have rockets or maybe the rockets just need to be a little slower, but I am not sure about that. For me that a bit of a weird zone.
Where are the enemy pilots? I play on PS5 and the lobby’s are filled with the same level 500 pilots who just wreck me every time I get my plane in the air because they actually help each other when I try shoot them down, meanwhile my teammate is nowhere to be seen when I have two fighters on me.

Is this a custom breakthrough server? I have never seen 800 tickets on Iwo or really any map. How do you find these servers I never see them on console

Can you make a guide for controller on how to takeoff in planes on the ground and on the ships?.
I tried looking everywhere and haven't found anything on how to take off from the ground in planes and all it says is move left stick forward without any context like if I am supposed to hold it down while forward or What and I end up crashing at the end of the runway or going off the side of the ship every single time.
So I almost never use planes on the Pacific maps for this very reason.
If they made it so you have an option of spawning on the ground or in the air then I would have liked using planes a little more.
But as of right now I am just sticking to tanks and infantry.

The pacific has great planes but you can only use the missile planes. The infantry planes are not used because of fliegers which is sad because they’re fun too

Just curious, why do you not fire your regular guns as well as the rockets on your staffing runs?
Too risky. For soft ground targets, the machine guns require you to get in much closer in order for the bullets on the wings to converge on a single point. I was just watching another video of his before this( the one with the 200+ kill count that he claimed was a record breaker) and he started off the round going in very recklessly finishing off rocket strafes with 1 machine gun kill at the very end. I didn't stick around to see if he had to abandon the approach, but I can tell you that never would've worked in the match we've just seen. The enemy were all to dedicated on shooting them down, and for good reason. I honestly have never seen so many flieger salvos fly up in the air in one match like what was happening there for several stretches at a time. Honestly learned alot from just how he was avoiding flieger fire. That was the most useful take away out of everything there for me personally.

Hey Silk, how do you keep such a smooth Turn? I have a really hard time keeping the Plane turning with the Mouse, like if i push up the Mouse slowly resets and if lift the Mouse the Turn gets canceled and if i got Damage turning with the Mouse is way sharper but switching from the Mouse to the Arrow keys takes way to long and i crash sometimes because of that.

Not sure how to counter with AAA, new to the game. I can track planes really well from my War Thunder experience. I can win against every plane, except I can’t out-DPS the fighters, and I can’t leave the stationary turret fast enough to dodge the rockets. Realism aside on how they can eat five to seven 40mm HE rounds to their exposed engines, I seriously can’t figure out how to beat them without my friend reviving me for another try until they mess up.

You don't need to be spamming the quick repair. If you hold the button in then it will do it as soon as you take damage.
Mine's bound to 3 while pitch up is bound to space, so I can't comfortably hold both at the same time. I wish equipment could be better customized between slots.

Agree with a lot of these comments. Like this takes skill for sure and I can appreciate it, but it definitely gets a bit boring. Not to mention when you are on the receiving end of this and just trying to have a good time, it's not too much fun for them either. Again, takes skill though and takes a lot of practice to know the maps and know how to fly this well.
