He was choosing his best friend over her by having him come over all the time and stay with them and make her life miserable. Then he had that nightmare and changed his ways. The best friend turned out not to be a friend at all and the husbandâs wife was his best friend all along. At least thatâs how I saw it.
@Fait I would agree normally, but in this particular case (yes, I know it's just a made up story) his best friend was taking advantage of him. He actually was not a good friend at all, IMO. Sometimes we need to realize who our true friends are and steer clear of the ones who are toxic. His best friend was not nice, not good to him and even disrespecting his wife.

That guy was never his friend, he was a user. I had a creep in my life who used to moonlight as my best friend. The moment someone crosses the line and disrespects your family and attempts to undermine you in every sense, they need to be disowned. Immediately.

I remember back in time when my "best friend" was doing same thing, she was toxic and disrespectful with my boyfriend (now he's my husband) and one day a packed my things and I moved with my husband and before to go she told me if I move with him our friendship is over and I will lose a bestfriend. I told her that her wish came true and I never lost a bestfriend, I just push away a toxic one.

Actually,he shouldn't of been allowed to stay there at all .He disrespected the entire family.Damn ,he finally acted like a real man, defending his family and not letting that jerk treat them badly.That other guy is single for a reason ,he is trash and can't be recycled.
I think this scene is to show us if you let someone too much in your life, even a best friend, that person will control your life and that person will be disrespectful with the other members of your family. I know personally a couple (my friends)who wanted to help a friend (actually she was a childhood friend of the wife) and turned to started to be too much in the couple's life, they found a job for her who she refused, she started to be disrespectful with my friends. After two weeks my friends called police to come to get her out from house especially in the house were 2 children.

But to be honest, the real lesson is : if someone isn't treating you as a human and deny your humans right, this someone is barely your friend. You can throw him or her like a trash if she or he treats you like trash.

When you go to someone's house you are a guest and you respect them and if he would have been his best friend then he would have respected his wife but he wanted to use her as his personal servant so that shows he wasn't a true friend and if he didn't have anywhere else to go he should have thought about that before disrespecting their home...You should never wish your family away because yes it may be hard stressful just a rollercoaster of emotions but your family was given to you by God and therefore you love and protect them at all times...
