I'm there 2-3 times a year. Very safe place by the way. People who say its dangerous are not street smart. Every place is dangerous if you're dumb. Chicago is more dangerous and again its not if your not oblivious.

I went in August 2019 and had a blast!
I need 2-3 weeks to do the most activities or go sightseeing!
Spend one week in Playa del Carmen to have Xcaret, Xel Ha , and a variety of cenotes(cenote Azul, cristalino, Jardin del Eden ) nearby!!
Also Chichen itza and cenote Ik Kil.
Then go back to the hotel zone and go to Isla Mujeres,
Swim with whale sharks
Snorkeling and Scuba diving!!!
Our friends went to an all inclusive there. Someone slipped something in their drink and they woke up naked in their room with no luggage and no cash. Bar tenders there help the bandits.

I had to google it to understand that "return flights", "return ferry" mean round trip, not just the one-way back.

Hey! Great video! We are planning a trip soon. I can see that you carried a drone! Question: I have a DJI Mavic Pro. Was there anything you had to pay for taking that drone through customs? It'll be great if you could give us more information on that!
Mexico has almost zero rules on drones like in the US! I use mine all the time and people are more excited to see what is than anything

FYI, from a native Spanish speaker, Mexican Spanish does NOT have a neutral accent. Try Colombian or Costa Rican Spanish for that. Also, Mexican Spanish uses far more slang than any other Spanish-speaking country so be aware that any colloquial phrases that you are taught might not be understood by other Spanish speakers.

does cenotes have boxes to leave belongings? where should I leave my stuff (with wallet etc) while swimming in cenotes? Or it's so safe that I shouldn't be worry?
Great question! There are lockers you can leave your belongings in :) When are you planning to visit Mexico?
Marek Jaworski yes they do I’ve been and one of them has showers to get in before jumping into a cenote. Also you can leave your stuff in the tour buses or take them with you
Big Hello, u r probably best person to guide me. i wish to travel to cancun in the future, maybe january next yr. i dont want a hotel in the downtown. if u could tell me hotel names of the cheapest hotels, resorts in the hotel area thats the beach area. the long beach side of cancun which looks like a 7 shape, from playa delfines till playa la perlas, even the kukulkan road , if u give me 10 hotel names i can contact them plus i need airport transfer,pls guide me

If you stick to the tourist areas then no, we don't think so. There are instances of violence in Cancun, but to our knowledge they haven't been focused on tourists. However, don't take our word for it, always check with your country's foreign office before travelling.
CITY LIGHTZ Mexico gets more then 39 million tourists every year and growing!! Stop being an ignorant and don't believe everything and only what the media says they never talk about the one million Canadians and americans living in Mexico because is safe,affordable and absolutely beautiful!! Because that doesn't fit the sensationalized and corrupt media's agenda!!

I heard that they no longer have Uber. Locals say Taxi’s run them out of business. Taxi’s abuse tourist by jacking up the prices. A lot of people say the Taxi company’s are run by the mafia

I get it that this is a "Cancun Travel Guide", showing attractions that are near Cancun. But your thumbnail is just confusing to locals and people who truly know the area. Chichén Itza is a short drive away, but it's in the state of Yucatán, not Quintana Roo like Cancun. So it's like saying travel guide to Los Angeles and you have a picture of Las Vegas.

Don't ever purchase anything from DON TEQUILA. In August we went to Cancun and took the ferry to isla mujeres.... While there we went to Don tequila.... We purchased 2 bottles of tequila for 1400 pesos approx 70 USD. However when I checked my bank statement they took 1400 USD. When I went back to them they all of a sudden Couldn't understand English, they pretended to call their bank to have the situation rectified however to no avail. We left the store and on our way to the police some other tourists advised us to go to the tourista and file a complaint. They were very helpful and allowed us to call our bank to lodge a report. But our bank advised that the transaction was completed and when we return to our country we must Make a formal report. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!

Nice video BUT it has turned into a HUGE FLEE Market where EVER you go. Taxi drivers will OVER Charge you, Hotel Managements are RUDE as hell (Hotel Casa Maya), beach vendors will TRY to sell you a $1 dollar item for $10 or more. How do I know all this.I was there just 2 weeks ago. this was my last trip to Mexico..
