Thank you, Pastor. I am a Deacon that has been asked by my employer's wife to do the funeral service for her husband (Tom, the owner of our company). This is not something that fits my comfort zone, but I am honored to be asked, and humbled the Lord has called me to serve Him in this capacity. It's going to be hard to keep from crying myself, because Tom and I are so close. I've read and listened to a few documents and videos, but your advice touched me. I just wanted to say that your 2-year-old video finally found the person God intended.

My Father recently just passed away and I am trying to put together a memorial service for when we rest my Father's remains to rest. I am a believer, though not perfect but whole heart wise believe in Christ Jesus. As I am trying to put together this service, my mother doesn't want a pastor there but I don't want the gospel message to be missed in honoring my Father. So I know I will be the one to step in overseeing the service. Now I know that there are some family members that are totally against hearing the gospel or even getting into the word at all. Could you kindly give me any other suggestions in keeping the service respectful in honoring my Father without going overboard in turning family members away from the message of the gospel.
