Poseidon threatens to gauge Telemachus' eyes, which is interesting taken into account that the reason this dispute started was that Odysseus blinded Poseidon's son.
The second "Get in the water" is conversational and yet so _menacing_. Am I excited to see the casted Poseidon's take on the delivery? Yes. But am I also desperately hoping he pays tribute to some of this mafia-boss vibe? You bet your nuts I am.
One thing that's been going through my mind about this song is I imagine at that last verse Athena showing up because she's not willing to let Poseidon hurt Odysseus son
I like the shaking effect when Poseidon says "Get in the water". It's just like his wrath is quaking the earth - actually, one of his many epithets is 'Earth-quaker'!
I just imagine Odysseus is on his raft. He's so close to Ithaca, can see his home right there, but then the tide starts to recede. Poseidon speaks, his voice on the burbling waves, seafoam gathering along the sides. It's dragging him back from his home but not far enough. He can still see it, and Poseidon ensures he can, because he's so close but not far to escape the Tidebringer's wrath.
Idk why but this song triggers my thalassophobia which is probably a good thing because the song portrays the scene perfectly. The way it’s arranged paints a picture for me of a stormy weather at sea and big waves as if a typhoon is about to hit.
I can imagine this scenery as Poseidon gets out of the water and slowly walks closer to Odysseus as he's singing and as he gets closer the waves/water gets more and more intense (also cannot wait to hear this is Steven Rodriguez's voice🤭)
Imagine this playing with Poseidon and Odysseus on the beach and as he starts singing, the tide goes further out than possible….A tsunami is coming
This is easily becoming one of my favorite songs form the album.
“Get in the water” gives me the same vibes I got with the “pick it up” Death tells Puss as he kicks his sword

Poseidon is just a really aggressive swim teacher
Man, the way Odysseus screams "No!" when his family is threatened, as if they're the only thing he can't afford to lose, no matter what. My heart.
This is my fav song so far and idk why mabey it's the vocals
Such a badass song. Can't wait to hear Poseidon singing it!

You can see his patience wearing thin but trying to maintain his cool till he snaps when Odysseus starts bargaining

I can imagine when Odysseus says, "Stop this... please!", the ocean starts to rise and continues to the whole song.
This song tickles my brain. It's so hypnotic in it's sound. Its triggered my villan era. I feel so powerful/badass singing it
I love how Poseidon’s one of my favorite gods, and this is making me see him in a hole different light lol.
