3 months later and after stepping back and focusing on other things this video is still gaining more views each day. Was thinking about coming back. Anyone got any questions or ideas on certain mods or other mechanics? Would love to know to help.
I have a problem, so imagine this, I find 5 diamonds, I put them in the storage system, the next day, I find 3 more, i chuck them into the storage system, but the 2nd time I put diamonds in they go into a another chest and doesnt stack into the already existing one, so I have 2 different chests, one with 3 and one with 5, and it makes it so that I keep having to add more chests and its making my life like hell. idk how to make it auto stack or something of that sort ty!
I would suggest you to make a tutorial on how to use more than 1 furnace for auto smelting, 9 or 10 furnaces for example.
@@Prisky- I'm playing Skyfactory IV, but you can get storage that *only* holds diamonds & make it the highest priority via the cable ui (a hopper might work if you only have 5 diamonds to store)
I want to make a playlist for Better MC. What would y'all like to see? Plenty of people made videos on it already but I was thinking maybe I could beat the game with only a wooden sword? ;) Let me know what would be fun and entertaining to watch!

there are a lot of mods in better mc that work well with create, not as much a video suggestion, but create makes a great addition to this pack :)
@@LanDoesThingsCreate definitely does. I believe a lot of modpacks similar to this create can work well in. So much to do with it lol.

outdated but very helpful.. i used this to get a good understanding on the mod. some things have changed within the mod but nothing actually new just visual changes and crafting recipes. also i feel sometimes the system gets a little buggy in regards to auto smelting and storage as sometimes either the cables do not appear to be linked but are or they are linked and are not feeding or they just skip a chest or furnace and then work on the others.. tho it may still work.
Any guides on different mods in better mc would be great. Just started a better mc server with my friends after playing vanilla for the first time in like 5 years. We are clueless and trying to figure out what’s even possible in this mid pack - great vid by the way!
An overall overview of better mc would be great! I know it would be a lot of work but it doesn’t look like one exists on CZcams. The only vid I saw was really bad
Lol does sound like a big project. But honestly might be one I'd be willing to tackle. Or I could break it down. In the meantime if you have any specific mods in mind let me know.

Thank you so much for this tutorial!! It was a great help in understanding the mod better. Now I do have some questions:
So I want to create a storage room like yours except make it as large as a common house for community usage in a multiplayer server. In a room, I have 3 double chests stacked on top of each other and in a row of 21. I plan on filling up the entire floor like this. Do I have to connect each double chest with a link cable to the network cable? Or will one link cable connect the entire row and stacks of double chests?
My next question is about claiming the chunks. If I want multiple people to have access to the storage from wherever, is it possible to make this work considering only one person could claim chunks of land? Is there a way to bypass this issue? Or is it simply not possible to achieve this?
Sorry for the late response. Don't know if my answer with help you anymore but just in case someone else has a similar question here it is. You will need a link cable connected to every chest/inventory. And with the claiming chunks I don't know for certain. Everyone can have access to it with the crafting remote. But to access it from anyplace like you would if you claimed the chunk I'm unsure. Maybe if you are all part of the same team then it's possible. But it's definitely worth the test.
Auto smelting not working for me for some reason. Maybe being on a server causes issues?
this helped a ton but im running into an issue where i can only link 16 chests and any chests past that wont show up in the storage request table. any idea why this is happening or how to fix it so i can make the giant storage silo i invisioned?
i make it like you in the video but nothing getting into the furnace. My mod looks a bit different, i have a black/whitelist option in the filter too. maybe i use a newer version but why it don't work?
Sorry for the late response bud. But be sure you are using the right cables. And be sure to set the priorities. And no the blacklist and whitelist options are to either make a certain item not allowed to enter the cable or only a certain item be able to enter it.
can youi have multiple request tables?
Yes you can. Just stick it on a cable that's connected to the network root and it'll work just fine. Do not make another network root though and it'll mess up your current systems network.

Can this work in multiplayer? For example to make one gigantic storage room and every player connects to one storage system?
Sorry for the late response but it will work. As long as everyone has access to the chunk if your trying to do wireless then yeah.
question do double chest work if the link cable is into one of them? do you need to link both side of said double chest for it to do both? because I checked empty slots and they go up when I have both into the double chest
Nope you don't need them going into both sides. It only needs to go into one of them. Can you help me better understand by what you mean when you say they go up? If you're just trying to just use it as storage and an access point a single link cable into it should be fine.
@@simplynara I have the links going through the top. do I just need to put them on the side? Like right clicking on the root with a bare hand shows how many storage slots you have and it goes up if I have links going into both
@fuzethehostages it should work then if its showing the amount of slots increasing when you do it. Are you having issues with it or was just curious? But I usually find it easier to have my links going onto one of the sides. But if your design makes it more efficient or better to have it going on the top then it should still work too.
@simplynara I'm on BetterMC 1.20.1 and having the issue you described. I have double chests with a setup exactly like yours but it only uses half the chest. I'll fill up the entire network only to go check and see that all my double chests are only half full. Frustrating bug.

I don't think FTB chunks is available on my BMC pack, how do I get it?
It's included in the minimap, press m and right click the chunks you wanna claim/forceload
do you know the range of wireless? doesnt seem to be global
Sorry for the late reply. But as long as you have those chunks force loaded it should be. Without having them always loaded though it's just a few chunks out in each direction.
My automation wont work. the system is pulling the coal out of the bottem of the furnace inv rather than the top or smelted section. not sure what to do.
On the top and side of the furnace should be export cables. And on the bottom will be your import cable importing all the processed materials back into your system. Did you mix up the cables? Shouldn't pull out any of the coal from the import cable if there placed right.

never using this mod again, just lost 10hrs grind worth of itens because the mod decide to bug and delete my itens, i've never seen such a bug in any mod before
