I'm sold on Kodiaks. Off to buy a lottery ticket.
Right behind you
On your 6, I’m following
That’s about it.
Guys to increase your odds, buy xrp token.
Xrp is the biggest shill coin and will go to zero. Holding a big bag of it, biggest mistake of my life. Never buy xrp
I don't think there is anything more fulfilling than listening to the turbine engine start!
Kodiak should really highlight Amir’s accomplishment. Congratulations Amir , well done. Through this video others can see what professionalism is when you have Rich and others like him on your team. Amir spec’d a beautiful aircraft. Just a big congratulations to all and this is a win for GA.
Thank you! Rich and his team at OCR have been absolutely amazing.
He's a low-hour doctor. Definitely wouldn't be advisable for an airplane manufacturer to highlight a doctor that quickly moved into flying a more advanced airplane. Doctors have very high crash rates compared to general aviation as a whole. It would be much better to highlight a very experienced owner-pilot choosing the kodiak over other planes, and the reasoning behind the decision.
I wouldn't. Just because you CAN go from zero to hero in 1 year as an amateur doesn't mean you SHOULD.
He put a video later on how he hates his Kodiak and how the company stinks
May be your best video to date, Rich!
Amir, i'm an airline guy with thousands of hours and what you've accomplished in such a short period of time is both remarkable and impressive! Seeing pilots like yourself set big goals and reach them, reminds me why flying is the greatest thing on earth. keep climbing my friend, and congrats on everything so far! it only gets better!
Thank you, it’s been a lot of dedication and hard work 🙏🙏
Lots of respect for Amir! He's already achieved so much, yet is smart and humble enough to admit that there's always more to learn. He'll go far as a pilot an plane owner. I'm a huge Kodiak fan and think Amir made a wise choice when he bought the aircraft. And now with the 900 there's even more scope for growth and better aircraft performance. I think Cessna should be concerned in terms of the competition.
Thanks!
Appreciate the kind words! I got my commercial rating and did the check ride in the Kodiak! It’s been an amazing experience and so lucky to have Rich in my corner.
congratulations on this amazing accomplishment. this story is so inspiring. I myself am on a similar path of training and ownership (though to a much lessor scale) and I can say without hesitation it's the most exciting, fulfilling journey, filled with amazing people along the way. good luck to you both rich and emir and hope you enjoy continued success and thanks so much for putting this content out there for other like minded individuals to learn what's possible in life and share the buzz!
Thanks be good luck on your training!
🙏
Thank you!
Amir, THANK YOU so much for sharing your Kodiak journey. I will be joining the ranks of Kodiak owners soon. You are very impressive to have attended Kodiak school even before you earned your private pilot license, then continued to learn and earn your instrument rating. WOW. I'm instrument-rated private pilot land and seaplane rated. So excited when I watch you in your Kodiak. CONGRATULATIONS on your accomplishments. Big thanks also to you Rich for making this video possible.
Thank you! Congrats on the Kodiak!!
Congratulations Ami! Awesome choice of aircraft! Safe flying.
Great story, Amir.
With Rich...the sky is the limit..
Beautiful aircraft.
Great vid rich,Emir ..its nice to see ppl helping / acheive their dream ... i looked up the specs on the two models while i was watching the vid , pretty impressive ,Cheers Mate Stay Well
Rich and Amir, I just want to thank you two for sharing this wonderful story. As a lifelong airplane fanatic, his journey let's me know my dream to replicate his process is within reach. The only thing I'm going to change is purchasing the Kodiak 900. I have a goal to not only use the aircraft for personal and business, but for charity work as well. To provide an option to traditional airlines for family and friends, etc. I have been following your channel for a while and you and Amir are a class act.
Thanks again
Thanks for the message - Kodiak 900 is a very cool airplane. I can’t wait to fly one!
The kodiak 900 should be amazing… just expensive 😉
@@thecrazymd As was said in the video...."Ya gets what ya paid for"... One thing I haven't figured out yet is why it isn't pressurized. I think it has everything else except maybe a lavatory for the long ride.
@@gotchagoing8843 pressurization would add an extra $1 mil at least as well as complication. They are also not designed to fly that high. Lastly you do get what you pay for.. in terms of fit finish and quality. However for me anything more than a 100 I’d be looking at a jet
@@thecrazymd WOW...I had no idea that pressurizing a Kodiak would be that expensive. WOW, that sir boggles the mind. I have always liked the looks and the utility of the Kodiak. The fit and finish on both the exterior and interior looks fabulous. And I love the glass panel. There is a guy on youtube that fly's into remote areas in PNG delivering cargo. The "airstrips" are challenging to say the least. It's always fun to watch him work that Kodiak into and out of grass and mud strips on some nasty crazy mountains.God Bless.
Very cool! Excellent dialog! Great video as always.
Outstanding! Congratulations!
I'm very passionate about the Kodiak. Such an amazing plane!! This one in particular looks stunning. Looking forward to the video. Thank you, Rich!
You and me both!
What an absolutely beautiful airplane!! Wow! Amazing.
Cool choice to choose the Kodiak as his mission of choice/need plane. I figured these would be short field back woods planes but the capabilities of this type of plane is amazing.
Amir is a pro now. Congratulations ! good feedback on the Kodiak and on his journey to becoming instrument rated. Nice video Ritch,.
Thank you!
Congrats amir, humble guy who deserves what hes worked for 👍🏼
🙏🙏
Super sharp looking Kodiak!
I never realized just how big the Kodiak 100 was until that first 20 second intro shot. Thing looks MASSIVE behind you guys! And congratulations, I had to give up my PPL due to no longer being able to pass a medical, but still have my Flight Sims, which have come a LONG way since I started playing them in '95, which originally ignited my passion for aviation. Ironically enough I guess you could say I've gone full circle. Flight sims to real piloting, back to flight sim, hah.
Big airplane for sure. Thanks for watching!
Amir, congratulations on this trip. This is amazing. Awesome done. To step up besides your business to the Kodiak IFR in this short period of time, well done. I am glad, we can follow this up on video. Your Kodiak is so nice. A Cessna Caravan never can catch up to this quality and versatility. In my opinion. Like you said, the Kodiak is way more modern advanced and stylish. The Kodiak 900 will top this out again. Good luck on your further way in aviation and always safe flights and landings. Enjoy this beautiful dream. And Rich thanks for having us with you on this outstanding journey. ☺️👍🙏
Thank you!
Thank you. The 900 is a different plane with a bit of a different purpose. It’s speed increase is minimal over a 5 hour flight you would be lucky to save 30 mins and a shorter flight to Vegas may be 10 mins faster. Nevertheless, kodiak has done an amazing job with their platforms and their products are amazing
Been waitin for this video!!! Congrats Amir on a beautiful airplane!!
Thank you! Follow me on my CZcams channel KodiakMD for more videos!
Thank you!!
Congratulations Amir!!! Awesome video , thanks for posting it Rich, love them all 👍. The Kodiak is a beautiful aircraft.
Thank you!
Thank you! I’m going to be posting some more videos on KodiakMD CZcams channel
@@thecrazymd Thanks Amir, I look forward to watching them 👍
@@thecrazymd I just subscribed. Look very forward to your Kodiak videos!
Another great video!! Amir is living the dream. The Caravan and the Kodiak are great airplanes. I've been in a Grand Caravan but have not had the chance to fly one. I did fly the Citation although at first I was flying at least ten to twenty miles behind it. Took some real getting used to. Congratulations Amir!! You've come a long way and thanks for sharing.
Congratulations, Amir! For the beautiful aircraft, amazing accomplishments and great business success!
Awesome episode Rich !!!! - Congrats Amir !!
Thank you!!
Thanks for sharing this, informative and inspiring.
I've been waiting for this one!
Thanks for watching!
@@FlyingwithRich I so love this plane! It is just so damn beautiful! Amir is very lucky, tell him that we HATE him now!👻
@@FlyingwithRich how many hours of training did he have before he got in the turbin? I would have figured you would have had to have flown like a 182 for a few years, build up time before he could move in to the bigger plane
I think he had around 200 hours prior to getting the Kodiak and he now has around 300 hours. He’s done a lot of training for his ratings and Kodiak specific.
I had about 200 hours in a 172 before I got into the Kodiak. I have about 150 hours of dual in the Kodiak currently
Congrats to amir what a gorgeous aircraft. Another great video thanks to rich and amir for sharing this flight.
Thank you 🙏🙏
WOW ... such a cool ADVENTURE you're on. THANK YOU for sharing your Aviation story.
Very inspirational.
CONGRATULATIONS from CYQT. 👍🇨🇦👍
Awesome watch, Amir you have a great plane there and lucky to have a mentor like Rich. Keep up the awesome content and great flying and I will look forward to another Kodiak flight someday 👍
Thank you!!
Such a great aviation story to share. Congrats Amir and thank you for this superb insight. New sub.
Outstanding accomplishments for sure. I went to the OSH fly in one year and the next year had my PPL. The next year I had my own airplane. It was an Aeronca Chief. My last airplane was an RV-4. Those were the best years of my life.
Thank you!
Well done, Amir! That is a beautiful looking machine!
🙏
Congratulations Amir. What an amazing accomplishment in one year, and a totally awesome aircraft to boot. Well done young sir, very well done indeed.👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 🙏🙏
At 15 years of age, I would look to the sky when I heard a small aircraft. I shoveled snow, baby sat, cleaned cars and more to save up money. At the age of 17, I started ground school and earned my private pilot's license. I never forgot what I heard. "Flying is serious fun". I'm so proud of myself for accomplishing something so stellar at a young age! Eventually, at age 48, I had my own amphibious aircraft called a Searey by Progressive Aerodyne. I never flew a stick before yet still flew solo within 2 hours. I became one with this plane. When I would fly, it felt like an extension of myself. I can't explain this but it was awesome and it made flying even more enjoyable as an amphibian. I became so confident, I was never trained for water landings by an instructor. I patiently taught myself and the first time landing on water, I was elated!!! About 6 months later, landing at Manatee Airport, 48X, two men in a government vehicle pulled me over! They were conducting random inspections of pilots and their planes. They asked why I did not have a endorsement for landing on water. My comment to them was, I just bought the airplane and I only use it for regular airports and I don't land on the water! hahaha., They could not argue and left me alone.
An inspiring story indeed, such an awesome and intellectually rewarding journey aviation is! Great to see some Kodiak action shots. I heard the Kern trip mentioned a few times, we were out there camping that same weekend with a group of planes from a club down at MYF. We had some proper winds that weekend indeed, I think a few tents even blew over. Happy flying
Thanks for the message. That was a fun trip!
Great video! Congratulations on your Kodiak airplane.
Thank you 🙏
Very cool, great video and congratulations on the beautiful airplane!
Thank you!
Love this Kodiak!
The Kodiaks look so nice. Very cool, versatile plane
Cool .. Congrats to Amir .. it's inspiring 👍
Congratulations Amir on your flying accomplishments and now aircraft ownership. You guys did a great job highlighting some of the improvements to the Kodiak. It is a worthy competitor in this market segment. Rich is a knowledgeable mentor so keep in touch with him as your flying progresses.
Sure wish I was a bit younger and a thousand miles closer I'd be booking you and a Kodiak for some log time,.. what a plane !.. thought about having one of these for camping at Oshkosh
next time I go.. .. be a lot better than poking along at 90 knts. and tent camping. Thank You for the ride along.😁 ( I remember my first long cross country to Vegas from Compton.... that was a bit long both ways.). NICE PLANE AMIR.
Congrats Amir! Nice to have met you through email. Looking forward to learning more from you about Kodiak ownership! Great to see you grow on this channel from no time to 350 hrs!
Thank you! Stay tuned as we have a lot we are doing with the plane.
Awesome journey and great plane congratulations.
Beautiful plane!
I noticed the Yoke had the Idaho State on it, researched that, to find out it’s in Sandpoint, Idaho. Wow, I used to live just South of that in Hayden which also has a good size airport. The Kodiak is certainly good for the NW backlands 👍🏻 very impressed with your video and information. Good job to you both.
Awesome to see this comraderie in action. Amazing work Amir! Kudos to you Rich and your exemplary mentorship.
Thank you!
🙏🙏
Amir, what an epic journey mate well done, love the Kodiak! Just discovered your videos yesterday Rich on the Tecnam 2010, great stuff, thank guys and greetings from Tweed Heads NSW Australia 🤙🌊🏄🌴🛩️🛩️
Congratulations!!!
Mabrook (congratulations) Amir!
Nice to see Part II of Amir's Story...CONGRATS to Amir and enjoyed learning about the Kodiak! .....AQP for GA !
🙏
well done Amir.. awesome stuff Rich
Thank you!
Great video and good work, Amir!
Thank you!
Very impressive plane !
I love it when people have a dream and it comes true.
🙏
Instant fans of both of you. Continued success.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Doctor Amir, you are the boss! So much respect for what you've accomplished. I'm moving up myself to a Cessna 400 to use for business myself. Loved this video and love the plane!
Thank you and congrats!
Awesome job Amir!!!!
🙏🙏
Oh man! What a beauty!
Agree - such a great looking airplane!
You are living my dream. And i love the Kodiak 100. That would be the plane for me.
Thanks for watching!
Respect!
Great video. Daher has really worked some magic on this iteration of the Kodiak. I watched a video the chief pilot for the Kodiak did and was surprised at how low the hourly operating cost is. Rich, could this be a charter type service where you take people on 1 day golf outings, mountain bike trips, ski trip or other 1 day trips that you have a fair amount of gear but couldn't do logistically in a car?
Awesome Video, Awesome plane. I like the impending size and stance of the plane. It seems to dwarf all of the standard GA aircraft that we see regularly.
So cool. Very inspirational!!! Well done to all your successes to both of you. I’m at the pointy end. I’m excited 😆 and scared lol. 6 navs then my test
Thanks for watching and good luck!
Rich that how I feel about watching you flying the planes that I love and we all enjoy What we do
That thing is a beast.
Looks like the perfect Baja plane! Congrats.
Yes it is - thanks for watching!
Huge congrats to Amir, that was quite an accomplishment! That is also a beautiful airplane! It looks like the shape has been optimized in a wind tunnel, and even on here the fit and finish looks very good. 1350 on the torque, that's a big number! I'd bet he will be very happy with the turbine over a piston engine. Thanks... --gary
Thank you 🙏
Great Job Amir
Thank you!
What a beast of an airplane that is... hooooly smokes..
Love the sound of the BETA
That is very cool.
Congratulations Amir
🙏
🔥🔥
Great video Rich as always. Congratulations Amir and on the purchase of your beautiful plane. I’m totally sold on the Kodiak now. I need to get back and get my currency up to date and start flying again. Cheers
Thanks - get your currency back!!
amazing aircraft and conversation
Thank you!
🙏
Good video good aircraft
Wow amazing accomplishment. I recommend all students start in a Kodiak or Caravan.
Thats an awesome journey, I havent flown a single engine turbine but I have alot of time in single engines. Gotta watch that right rudder on takeoff or the torque will take you away. Add that right rudder rather than all the alerion! You can see it yawing left and the slip indicator on takeoff! Beautiful airplane!
Thanks for watching!
Great video. My favorite airplane and would like to accomplish my license with an awesome machine and a good instruct.
Great video! Very interesting insights. What maybe would have been cool: a few more shots outside the windows during the flight to show us the landscape.
Also, just curious: why is the registration number not visible (hidden)? Never seen that before in aviation videos...
Cool 👍
This bastard has me dreaming about that 900. Way to go and awesome stuff congratulations on your hard work you earned and deserve it. Really cool stuff. Thanks for sharing your story and journey.
Thanks for watching!
Nice job on video. Amir is flying with a safety pilot, no doubt a insurance requirement. However, back in the 70's learning to fly the Commercial Ticket was the next stepping stone after Private. Fast forward in today's world, seems the IFR Rating really makes you a better pilot. Congratulations to Amir.
With fixed gear, that lowers the overall maintenance cost and helps with insurance cost.
The plane has a definite role in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.
I’m actually insured Solo. I just prefer to have someone like Rich sit right seat with me as I have no issue understanding I’m a low time pilot.
@@thecrazymd Excellent. Keep your flying skills sharp. Fly often and file IFR. Flying into Class B airspace so much easier. Enjoy your plane and Happy Flying.
New sub ! Liked 🙏✌️❤️😬☺️
Awesome plane bro. Congrats! I'm sure you heard this before but watching this all i can think is eyes outside...I know autopilot is on but even your instructor checks outside while he's talking. #multitask...
Great video with plenty of views. Most viewers will wonder what you do to afford this wonderful aircraft and the expenses to go along with it. Very fortunate man! Everyone likes the out the windshield views.
Nice .
super inspiring my friend, and yes Vegas Class Bravo transition in your own bird, in my opinion nothing feels better. Just got offered a caravan position!!!!! Any pro tips
This video has certainly help me determine which aircraft I would like to purchase. Looking to move production equipment around with production crews. This is it.
Awesome machine!
This guy rules
🙏
I’ll fly with you if I was out there and knowing Rich as well as your mentor is even better than anything else who’s knows his planes and I’m always looking forward for that opportunity to fly with you both one day
🙏
❤great job Amir! I love the Kodiak what a great choice.. Question.. what was you landing speed at Henderson? Rich you keep up with the wonderful videos…
Thank you. Usually I approach around 75-80 knots. You can approach slower but I’d like a bigger buffer to the stall speed. We have plenty of runway and I can slow the plan down a little more over the runway very easily.
@@thecrazymd thanks,,,,,, !
Thanks!!! He has done an Awesome Job getting to that point. The Sky's the Limit now :):)
I wish I had money to do that LOL I have some, but not enough=== Dang It!!! Thanks and Good Luck!!!
Thank you!
Keep pushing yourself and keep your mentors on speed dial. Fly in as much weather as you can with a guy like Rich.
Who knew hair transplants were so lucrative. Nicely done, sir!
One year to fly that? 🤯 impressive 😉
🙏
Congratulations Amir and Rich !!
That bird looks amazing!
A question on color if I may :
Does a dark color on an aircraft have any effect on temp inside the cabin and the fuel tanks as it is standing on the ramp etc?
Thanks for watching - first really solid dark airplane I have been around a lot. So far, I haven’t noticed any difference.
Had the plane in Vegas 120 degrees parked outside on a few trips. AC cools the plane down very quickly and we use window shade covers. I don’t think at those temps color matters, it’s just hot no matter what.
