      Hi love the look of the creo 2 and your vlogs! Could I ask rusty if he thinks the new creo2 comp has more torque/power than the creo 1 comp as it says it has 50nm torque instead of 35nm on the original and big gears? And is the weight the same? Thanks you lyn

      @E-ZeeRiders  Před 2 měsíci

      I can certainly say that Rusty's bike has more torque as I'm usually behind him these days on the hills! Weight wise, looking on Google and depending on frame sizes, the Creo 2 is pretty much the same weight as the Creo 1, 1-2 lbs difference maybe. Glad you enjoy the channel. @@8259lv

    Great looking bike, will look forward to your gravel rides together. You are right about the charging plug for the Mahle X35 system,it either engages first time or takes ages. I have put a spot of white paint on the charge plug and the docking port to make lining up easier.

    Jack at Specialized Bristol is a top man for sure, helped me out many a time. Rusty's Creo 2 is the same colour as mine and is an awesome bike. I have swapped bit on mine to make it a bit more road focused (carbon wheels, 28mm tyres, removed dropper) and it now rides better than my old Creo 1. Rusty will be grinning for weeks

    Dunnoh about UK but in US Creo 2 is very scarce on the Specialized website. I was on and off the website for a month and for the $9k version (mostly for the CF wheels) a 52 cm frame was available for about 5 days and hasn't reappeared since. None of the other sizes have ever been available. For the Comp version, main diff being Al wheels, a 54 cm size was available for about 4 days in March so I ordered one for delivery to the local shop. Initial impressions after 200 miles: need smaller tires, so ordered second wheel set, duplicate of the OEM except flat spokes instead of round and put Gravelkings 36 mm on and the wheel set is 2# lighter than the OEM all due to the tires. Bike is fine for moderate gravel with the Gravelkings. Second change was to flat topped bar as the OEm round is hard on my hands. Dropper SP seems superfluous as Specialized warns against jumps greater than 6" high or aggressive downhilling, but after pulling the post I found it to be pretty light by dropper standards and would maybe save 8 oz. Not worth the trouble. On a typical fairly flat ride (under 2000' in 40 miles) with ECO on the full ride the bike uses about 1% of charge per mile. If ECO is turned off on the flats and mostly used for hills I can hang with a 15-17mph group for 40-50 miles and use ~20% of charge. Brief experiments with Turbo suggest battery consumption in the 5%++/mile range. Not sure what use I will get out of the 47mm OEM tires, may instead get a road type 32mm set instead, TBD.

      @E-ZeeRiders  Před 20 dny

      I get the sense that supply in the UK is not an issue compared to the situation in the USA which is a real shame. I will leave it up to Rusty to comment on dropper posts and the other observations you have made. Appreciate you taking time out to comment. Cheers.

    Enjoyed the video and planned to visit the shop yesterday (Sun) and it was closed according to Google. We have a Creo 1 each and are thinking of an upgrade, the store & Jack looked awesome. Although yours is a higher model than ours I will be interested to see what has changed and how the new motor performs compared to the original in real world conditions. Looking forward to your next video.

    • @darrenhitchcox6345
      @darrenhitchcox6345 Před 3 měsíci +1

      The Creo 2 from the store is much more Gravel focused with 47mm tyre and dropper. The new motor is the start of the show, but the new future shock is also much improved. I have swapped bits out on mine to make more road focused and dropped over 2kg from the weight in doing so

      @@russellpickford2681 To save some battery, I would recommend reducing the power setting on eco and sport as these are stronger than the Creo 1. Easy to do on the app if you find the battery life is on the short side for you

    Hi, Great video - thanks for making it. Couple of questions:
    Was the fit and handover included in the price or was that and extra or done as they knee you were youtubing it?
    And will you be doing a follow up and review once you have had chance to get out on a few rides?

    • @E-ZeeRiders
      @E-ZeeRiders  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I'm pretty sure the fitting session is part of the package (especially given how much the bike is worth!). I'm sure we will get a review out of Rusty soon. Thanks for the comments.

    ok, so you now have a Creo. 4 years more than 20,000 kms. If they still come with Praxis crank chain wheel, swop it for a Wooftooth, i have a 44tooth, as i like a higher cadence cos of my knees.
