- HELLO, HI, WELCOME!!!
I'm Emily, and I've built a community of almost 100k people talking about the joys of slow running. I'm currently training for the Brighton marathon in April.
This is the final super long run of my marathon training. 2 weeks to go!

Wow congratulations. My first half marathon which I was very unprepared for although I made it under 3 hours. My next goal is to shave 30 minutes off and not stop running. Soo inspiring
so glad I found your channel. its hard to feel like I can run long distances when I'm as slow as I am. so motivating to see other slow runners doing epic long runs :)
Thank you so much 🫶🏻
Hi Emily, thanks for always posting regularly and helping me keep motivated for my upcoming 10k. Best wishes ❤
Thank you! Good luck with your 10k
Your bladder is 10x stronger than mine. I'd have to dive behind a bush. Well done for pushing through!!!
This is the motivation I need to go out on my long run in less than optimal weather conditions
❤️❤️❤️
Good luck for your marathon! I ran one last year and it was so surreal
Thank you!!!
Nice work, just watched this after doing my last long run today for Brighton which was 34.5km. Weather was better here but it was very windy, which made the marathon pace intervals harder then they should have been. It nice feeling knowing that most of the hard work is done.
Good work!! So close now ☺️☺️
Great work, nearly there now!
Thank you, so close!
Well done 👏
Thank you 😁
Just returned from my own 32km long run - also in prep for Brighton. Hideous. See you there! Good luck!
Haha, we’re almost there!
omgggg!!
Nice one, awesome achievement, ace video 🙂👍👏👏👏👏
Thank you ☺️
@@Runswithemily 🙂👍
Good job 🙂
Thanks!!
Awesome
Thank you!
Well done! And that loo story made me laugh, I also hate them and I get paranoid I'll drop something in. 😂
Hahaha
Hello Emily and congratulations on your 32km run. It is certainly no short distance.👏👏
Thanks so much! 😊
Got my 20 miles tomorrow. A few of my friends are running a couple of miles each with me to hopefully break it up.
Good luck ❤️
"I feel like all the speedy people come here" That is me, every time I go out on a run so you are not alone 😂 really good run, going slower gets a bad rap, but, I would rather go slower and be able to conquer the distance and stand a chance of enjoying myself, rather than pushing too hard and caving in. Good luck with the marathon!
Haha glad it’s not just me that feels that way 😅
Well done. Which marathon are you doing? It’s an important message that, in general, runners need to slow down in their training.
Thank you!! I’m doing Brighton :)
@@Runswithemily see you there!!
Maybe too early to say, but do you think you'll continue marathon events after 2 weeks time?
I’d like to think so, but we’ll see!
You made me laugh because it seems you are just like me "I need the loo, I need the loo" and immediately after the loo drinks a bottle of water :D
Haha it wasn’t that kind of toilet trip I needed 😭😭😭😂
@@Runswithemily haha I figured that. For me it's just that I need to go again after 10 mins because of the bottle of water I just had lol
Doesn't it defeat the purpose of a long run if you are walking then running for 4 mins. Is this a workout that the app gave you?
Nope, run/walk is a great method for longer runs to stop getting fatigued too quickly and also reduce risk of injury. The app gives me the distance and pace and I work out what run/walk splits I want to do ☺️
34km is my last long run.
Good luck 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
nice effort! but are you not suppose to be able yo easily talk at this long run pace? you seemed out of breath, which I doubt is zone 1 (not hating! just wondering)
Thanks!! This long run was at marathon pace so harder than an easy pace for me :)
@@Runswithemily ah, ok that explains it. well done. all the best
