My mom was booking vaccines for this old woman last week, and couldn't get an early appointment at her nearest centre, but was told she could get one at another centre that was 7 miles away. Despite owning a car she was too lazy to want to make the trip. Despite being desperate to get one. Instead my mom had to post her forms to her house so she could make an official complaint about it.

When I was getting my lunch at cafe on my work break, this guy grabbed 4 dim sims, then went outside putting his dirty fingers all of them then came back and complained they were all soggy and demanded a refund. He was so condescending to the staff it was disgusting. I told the lady her dimmy’s weren’t soggy and were actually great, she then told me apparently he does that all the time with their products. I’m so sick of people lol. Even where I work I have the occasional customer coming clearly looking for an argument.

Oh yes, I've known plenty of those.
My cousin, he used to manage a restaurant. Well, he got pretty thick headed about it, and thought he knew how every restaurant should run. Even though his was a fast food diner sort of place, he thought he knew how to run all sorts of different, more upscale places. Well, he would complain almost any time we would go out to eat for a family meal. It got bad to where people would want to avoid going because of it. They would usually give him some sort of coupon, a free appetizer or something like that. One time though, he did get out entire party free everything. It was close to $200.

That's not actually true, or at least there's no reliable source that says that was the original. "The customer is always right" appeared in the 60s as a reaction to earlier trends where customer complaints were rarely taken seriously and misrepresentation was rife.
The "in matters of taste" add on appears to be one of those made up fun facts, like the one with the phrase "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" which absolutely is not a real saying and was made up so people could repeat it endlessly on the internet.

Yep. Customers could spit on you and the manager would be like "oh no, an upset customer. Here's some free stuff and coupon so you can come back and treat us like crap"...and the employees look bad in some cases when a manager does something they're told you not to do...it's like managers can bend the rules, we can't. I told her several times it's not possible. I offered to help her to her car, which she didn't want. This is definitely me, but working in the restaurant industry instead. I am a grill cook at Golden Corral, it is pretty awesome but some of the customers are not. Most of them are cranky people with unrealistic standards. For example, I have a couple of customers that get pissy with me and they want their steak well done, it takes about roughly 10 minutes altogether, 5 minutes on each side. The customer tells me they want a well done steak, I told them it would be 5 minutes. He told me "you just said it will take 5 minutes." I said to myself "you can either wait 5 minutes or take your business elsewhere." Customers are so cocky and arrogant at times. They tend to lack common courtesy; there is no please or thank you.
