- This is the scene when Takumi meets Keisuke on the pass, though in the original episode there is no Eurobeat and voiceovers, I edited in the voices and Eurobeat from the First Stage.

Just let the man deliver the tofu in peace
Nah he just came across by accident...
What's funny is, Takumi never wanted to deliver his father tofu at all, he doit because he can do time attack at Akina when he came back from Akina Lake Hotel
@@macademia_p7853 Thats bullshit
@@macademia_p7853 He was forced to, or rather he did it because he was helping with his father's business. It was like going grocery shopping or doing laundry to him. Nobody WANTS to do it, but someone ultimately has to, and being the son, he had to oblige
@@MrEmpty376 idk about you but I'm just trying to be funny, but meh, whatever make you sleep at night, I'll go along
Saw this when i was kid. Seeing this again still gives me goosebumps.
totally
I’m glad someone recognizes the beauty of drifting.
truest tru
This is beautifully remastered looks-wise, but there are many subtle differences why the original is actually better. Hear me out. When Takumi catches Keisuke in the corner and he comments on "it's an 86", in the original they come to a straight where you can easily see how the RX7 is much faster in the straight, but then immediately how Takumi catches up in the corner. Same goes for the setup for the inertia drift. In the original, you can see how it looks like 86 is slipping and missed the first corner, but after the transition it's immediately clear that Takumi knew what he was doing. In the revised version you are missing all of those visual details.
The original was way better.
The way takumi entering the corner was way too fast than keisuke that's why he can't outrun from it
An initial D classic
Don't get me wrong, this looks great. But there is just something about watching the cars in smooth CG motion that I like better than blending all like in the same art style and frames. Plus there was more focus on the cars in the originals.
Yea its the same issue I have with MF Ghost. Even Intial D as the series goes on starts to stray away from the semi grounded roots.
Is the story in initial d original and the new initial d are the same?
Thank u, this scene felt very flat when I first saw it compared to the original.
goosebump moment
is it „goosebumps“ or „goosebump“ ?
Maaan that's cool! I came here because of windbreaker
Nani?! Kansai durifto?!
I like the legend 1 so much, cuz it's more realistic i mean LOOK AT THE LIGHTING IT'S AWESOME. Then again comes first stages comedy. I love it more. I wish they kept the comedy in initial d cus it's why tons of people watch initial d 1st stage and became a hit anime
0:49 Takumi Was very powerful to drift
First stage is still better they builded up in the first episode for this battle

Initial d 1st stage episode 1
Someone must have rush order soft tofu
Inertia drift doesn't look like inertia drift
In 1st stage it was looking better

Keisuke mentioned about MR2 - i don't believe there was just randomly chosen. This might be callback to Over Rev! manga which was about girl bought old Toyota MR2 and started training drifting.
Funny fact - she did beat R32 too.
He also mentions the 180sx, so it’s more than likely that it’s because A) It’s keeping up with him so he thinks it must be a fast car, and B) They have similar headlight shapes.
@@beanieguitarguy4070both of them has the same headlight types i think
Soo.. He was surprised when he drifted around the corner when...
1) They had already been shown drifting around corners
2) Given its a one way road and they had already drifted many corners (see part 1)
How did he not know about the turn?
3) He was surprised by a move he should have known on road he should have been familiar with.. this is terrible writing. If you were amazed by this, your stupid 🤷♂️
I doubt you can write that can compete with this series 💀🤡
Keisuke was from fucking Akagi, not Akina, he had just practiced the road a few times, he was not at all familiar with it.
Good attempt, but you failed miserably.
@@zenmashofficial "Akagi RedSuns" too obvious that he doesnt know the road that well yet, this guy is just stupid lmfao
You have no idea about racing and car handling, this is the problem and not the story. The other side is that this scene is so poorly shown in legend that even veteran drifters would struggle to see what's going on.
@@robertkowalczyk2725 Its not really an issue with legends itself, but with this edit.
The movie gives a better idea of what’s going on.
This edit takes scenes from their race afterwards to extend the scene and better sync it with the music. You can see that this video doesn’t even show the “inertia drift” properly, it’s just a screenshot of the scene where Takumi overtakes Keisuke with the gutter run.
When someone puts express delivery for the tofu. On a side note, if you see someone with that much skill on the road, you should let them pass respectfully. Any efforts to race them will be futile.
