"Birthday's are such a burden, I hate attention." If that isn't the most relatable thing I've ever heard besides being an observer and not a participator of life. I rarely tell anyone when's my birthday because I seriously hate when people make it such a big deal. I don't truly understand why I hate birthday's either... so thanks Conan for admitting to that.

I can relate to him because even tho I love my mom, on my last show, before my last show actually, she sent me a text that said: “yea, I’m in town but I’m not going to your show and I doubt anyone is going because no one listens to your stuff” she ended up coming to the gig but I had to sing for an hour being super heartbroken. And believe me, I will never recover from that.

Okay so I got pretty uncomfortable during that part about his family, but I would at least like to think that Zach meant no harm by it. I'm giving him the benefit of doubt because I remember how deep and personal conversations they've had before - maybe that made him think that Conan would be open to talking about this as well? It seems to me like he was trying to create a meaningful conversation, but failed to notice that it wasn't a great idea. I mean, we all make mistakes right?
P.S: I stan Conan, and I've only watched Zach interview Conan and one other artist so I'm not being biased. I barely know Zach TBH.

"Was there ever a grip on life in the first place?" Lmaoo and conan looking at the camera after the description of what that dream could mean was so good. I enjoy hearing Conan's thoughts on life and music oh so much.
He said that Heather was about when he wore a sweater to high school that someone liked that sweater. Then he started wearing that sweater more often. And Yours was about when we was trying to get someone to like him, but like he got rejected. And footnote was about accepting that someone didn't like him, and so he put it all on the back burner. It sounds like the whole album is about coming to terms with something that just won't workout in the end. It's like about accepting that it won't workout.

Kinda odd how zach kept asking conan questions about his family life knowing conan’s family life isn’t the greatest. you can tell he felt uncomfortable at some times. Zach please learn what respect and privacy is.

@@voxtur__7 when he was on Zach's show for kidkrow (his previous album) , Conan mentioned growing up poor and opened up about how he would purposefully stay away from his house bc he didn't want to deal with family problems. He talked abt other stuff too..point is, he's already opened up on the show abt his family life and Zach trying to get more in depth answers in this interview abt this topic felt a bit uncomfy.
Conan is such an incredible human being and artist, I love him so much. Thank you for this interview, it was so deep and fun at the same time.

I love Conan so much, I’ve loved his music before he was “known”. I immediately recognized his talent and knew he would become a star. It was like watching your kid grow up as weird as that sounds but I’m so proud of him! He is just a go with the flow, enjoy the ride, don’t stress about the small stuff kinda guy. I hope he always stays that way ❤️

Zach... You truly need to learn what boundaries are. In this interview, you were very inappropriate to push Conan to talk about his family issues when it's clearly a sensitive subject for him. It's not even just relegated to this interview, but I've seen you be pushy and not respect privacy w many other artists you interview. I enjoy your interviews a lot but please respect the artists you interview more!!
zach is so sweet
A lot of times questions are cleared with their publicist/ PR rep before the interview. This wasn’t random or forced. And Zach never pressed. Conan answered the question if he wanted to and if he gave a short answer Zach moved to the next question.
